The first day he promised us it would be done in two days tops. He demo'd everything and installed the shower bottom and some of the tiles the first day. Luckily before he finished the tile we reminded him of the shower box that we wanted so that we had a place for soap and shampoo. He came back the next day and tried to cut out a box, but was done very badly. Cracked grout and very uneven. We asked for him to do it over and he said it would cost more money than what we agreed on. On the the third day he looked right at me and said he would tile the whole floor and leave no spaces even under the sink and cabinet. I believed him and at this point was just hoping we had a bathroom to use by that night. We also were told the new window wouldn't be in for 8 days, because he had just ordered it even though it had been over a week before he even came to work. Knowing this we knew he would have to be back a fourth day. From day one he had his two sons and an older gentleman doing all the work. Every day I questioned to my wife if they had licenses to do this, and she told me one of his sons was a mechanic not a contractor. The baseboard was cut in the middle leaving it with a space and being off center. He told us even though it was just a simple white baseboard it just needs to be painted. I know home depot sells white baseboard. A tile is still missing near the shower leaving it useless until its fixed. Under the sink I found that he never finished the tile, and I confronted him with it and his excuse was we didnt have enough tile. First off, ask me to buy more before you do a half fast job and don't lie to me because I see two tiles under the sink that you decided to stack. Like I wasn't going to ever see that. He finally came the last day and we had sticky notes for him to fix the areas he promised to fix. We felt the need to baby him, because he was unresponsive for other issues relating to our contract. I showed him the areas and he did did the window and nothing else. He wanted more money for his mistakes. I refused and asked him to leave. He said he was taking the new window with him if we didn't pay the $700 that was still supposed to be given to him. I told him flat out we have already over paid for the crappy job that was given to us. He then said he wanted at least $250 for the window. At this point I just wanted him to leave so we paid him the $250 since he threatened to leave us with no window at all. I could go on. We feel that we were taken by a shady contractor that hires his sons to do bad work. We were told about this guy through someone who did a kitchen floor for them. After the hiring and shady job, a co worker of ours asked who it was and we told them and she said her husband threw him out of the house because of the job he did. I wish i knew about it sooner. Now we have to hire a fixer up contractor to finish up his mess. We are reporting him to the BBB, and calling action news and getting other people who have been swindled by him to tell their story. All in all it would be great to get our money back, but feel we were swindled and that really stinks.

While Contractor made verbal estimate of work that needed to be done, it sounded that work needed was extensive and very expensive. When Contractor arrived minimal work was done and not completed. There was several attempts to contact Contractor but answering service would not return calls, for a long period of time. After finally getting a returned call from Secretary she explained the work was done, and everything else would be extra money. Not only was the job not completed they left all the trash behind. I am very dissatisfied with the performance of this Contractor.

They were on time, courteous, and cleaned up after finished with the work. They did an excellent job. They were also supposed to install door bell, but we haven't purchased the door bell so they came back the next day to install the door bell at no additional charge.
Description of Work: Installed interior and exterior doors.
