Do NOT ever schedule any repair service appointments with Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC! It has been my experience that they employee untrained, unkempt, and unskilled technicians who will not accurately diagnosis and/or repair an issue that you are having with an appliance. And if you are not satisfied with the job they failed to correctly execute, you will never see a refund, even if it is promised to you on multiple occasions, unless you ultimately go through the trouble of taking them to small claims court. Furthermore, the company is owned by a man, a Mr. Emmanuel Brown, who has repeatedly personally demonstrated to me that is he a shady, untrustworthy, and despicable individual who will consistently lie to avoid owning up to his and his company’s failures. Simply put: Mr. Emmanuel Brown, owner and proprietor of Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC does not care for his customer’s satisfaction at all. In my humble opinion, his business is a noxious cancer that preys on the hard working families in the greater Philadelphia area and I have avowed to do my best to truthfully inform others of the dangers of dealing with Mr. Brown and his business. Hopefully, Mr. Brown will learn that, in this day and age, his sorted business practices and philosophies will be exposed to the greater public and that his poor and misguided choices will cause Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC to wither away to nothingness. The collapse of his dishonest appliance repair company will allow upstanding appliance repair companies to flourish even further. You can aid in that effort by not dealing with Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC and deciding to choose a more reputable appliance repair company to correct whatever issues have arisen in your home. For a detailed explanation of my experience with Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC and to understand how I came to feel this way about a particular business and business owner, please read through the following timeline of events… January 4th, 2017: My kitchen refrigerator unit is no longer cooling and freezing items stored inside. January 5th, 2017: I contact my home warranty company to report the issue with my refrigerator and they then contacted Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC (one of their contracted service providers, at that time) and request them to contact me in order to schedule a refrigerator repair at my home address. January 5th through January 9th, 2017: I receive no contact from Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC during these 5 days. I called their posted office number multiple times during each of these days and no one ever answered the phone and I was not given the option to leave a voice mail. I cannot find any posted email address anywhere on the Internet. On the 9th, I report to my home warranty company that no contact has been made with Doctor Appliance Repair and that I am unable to reach anyone. They try to contact Doctor Appliance Repair themselves but are also unsuccessful. The home warranty company promises to make a report and to begin a search for a new contracted service provider. January 10th, 2017: I finally receive a call from Doctor Appliance Repair to schedule an appointment. Against my better judgement, but please consider that I have been without a working refrigerator for a week, I schedule an appointment for January 12th, 2017. January 12th, 2017: The service technician from Doctor Appliance Repair arrives as planned. However, his appearance and body hygiene is quite off-putting, and very unprofessional in my personal opinion. He claims that the refrigerator just needs a thorough cleaning and will be just fine within 24 hours. He does clean the unit, reassures me again that all will be fine within 24 hours, and leaves after collecting my $95 service fee. January 13th, 2017: The 24 hours have elapsed and there is no improvement at all with the refrigerator. It is still not cooling or freezing. I contact Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC to report the issue. I was told that they would notify the same service technician that very day and that he would be calling me before nightfall. I received no call from the service technician or anyone else from Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC. January 14th through January 15th, 2017: I continue to attempt to report to Doctor Appliance Repair that the refrigerator is still not working. Most of my calls are never answered by a person or even by an answer machine. Messages that I do leave go unanswered. I finally go ahead and schedule a visit with a different appliance repair business as it has now been 12 days without a working kitchen refrigerator. I notify my home warranty company of this issue and they promised to make a report of the failures of Doctor Appliance Repair and to consider dropping them all together as a service provider. January 16th, 2017: The other appliance repair business service technician arrives and correctly diagnosis the problem. The refrigerator is in need of a new evaporator coil and all of the Freon gas has leaked out. That same day, I contact Doctor Appliance Repair and demand my refund of $95. I was told that they would notify the owner of the company, a Mr. Emmanuel Brown, of my complaint and request for a refund. Later that day, Mr. Brown contacts me directly and says that he is not obligated to refund my money since I went ahead and had a different appliance repair company come out to correct the issue. After arguing with him and explaining that I tried to contact his business countless times after his service technician failed to correctly identify and repair the unit, he finally agreed to refund the $95 service call fee. THE REFUND NEVER ARRIVED! January 27th, 2017: Since the promised refund never arrived, I contacted Mr. Emmanuel Brown, owner and proprietor of Doctor Appliance Repair, and inquired as to when he would be mailing the refund. He explained that he forgot about our conversation, apologized, and stated that he would mail the refund straight away. THE REFUND NEVER ARRIVED! February 22nd, 2017: Since the refund still has yet to arrive, I once again contacted Mr. Emmanuel Brown. Again, he promised to refund the money straightaway. THE REFUND NEVER ARRIVED! April 26th, 2017: I sent a detailed text message to Mr. Emmanuel Brown which recapped our agreement and that I still had not yet received the agreed upon refund. He does not respond. May 8th, 2017: I call Mr. Emmanuel Brown, owner and proprietor of Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC, to discuss why I still had not received the agreed upon refund. He informs me that his business has declared bankruptcy and that he is no longer responsible to pay the refund. I research his claim that his business has filed for bankruptcy that very day and discover that he blatantly lied to me. May 11th, 2017: I contact call Mr. Emmanuel Brown, owner and proprietor of Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC once again and demand an explanation for his untruthfulness and inaction. He states that since I had a second appliance repair company complete the repair, he is not obligated to refund the money. I remind him that we already had this argument back in January and again explain his company’s failures to resolve the issue at that time. I also reminded him that he has promised this refund on multiple occasions since the end of January. He informs me that I will have to take him court in order to see that refund and then hangs up on me. In addition to pursuing formal legal action, I will be reporting all of this experience with of Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC to the Better Business Bureau. I encourage you to also look up Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC on the BBB website before you consider contacting them to set-up a service call. ([*** Link removed ***] There you will see complaints that others have filed against Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC. At the time of this posting, there are two other complaints filed just in 2017. The site also reports that Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC has failed to respond or address either of these complaints. I cannot say that I am surprised to hear that they have failed to correct or explain either of these complaints or concerns. Again, I state that Mr. Emmanuel Brown, owner and proprietor of Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC does not care for his customer’s satisfaction at all. Furthermore, if you happen to research other reviews on Doctor Appliance Repair, you will come across a 5-star review posted on yp.com ([*** Link removed ***] written by an individual named ‘Micah B’. Now, take notice of the Doctor Appliance Repair contact information on the following web page: [*** Link removed ***] Is it just a strange coincidence that an exceptionally positive review about the business was authored by an individual who has the same unique first name with the same last name initial as an employee of Doctor Appliance Repair? Or does this coincidence just illustrate how untruthful and misleading this company actually is by having employees post positive reviews about fictitious business interactions? Are we able to believe any non-negative reviews that have been posted? I will leave you to determine your own conclusion on that matter. In summation, you and your family will be better off contracting a different company to have your appliance fixed. Do not waste your time, energy and money dealing with Doctor Appliance Repair, LLC and its dishonest owner, Mr. Emmanuel Brown.

This is for my water heater that broke and its winter. First they would not answer my call, the phone number they have isn't working and the other phone number they would not pick up even if you call 20 times in a row. Well it's over three weeks and I still don't have hot water because they have the worst customer service I ever encounter. I call every day for three weeks and no one gets the phone and when they do they hangup or scan my calls. At this point I want my money back and I'll get a new contractor.

They came out looked at my oven said they were ordering parts and would call to set up my next appointment and we never heard from them again. I tried to call several times however it goes right to some girls voicemail which is full so you can't even leave a message. Charge me to come out and diagnose the problem and then asked for cash. Good thing I insisted on giving them a check so I have proof of payment since they also said they would just email me a receipt and I was going through my home warranty for the cost

This call center service switched and cancelled my appointment several times before not showing up for the appointment. If you are seeking a company where you won't get a technician with any accountability, this is the perfect service.
