I went to Diamond Furniture a couple of weeks ago to buy a bedroom set for my upstairs bedroom (a converted attic type space). The salesperson, Kim, was wonderful. She didn't try to sell me the most expensive items in the store and was honest. I scheduled delivery for Sunday, October 13. The delivery guys showed up at 5:00. These guys were great (and very tired). They tried to get the queen sized box spring up the stairs, but the ceiling in the staircase was too low. They set everything else up and even called the store to order me a split box spring. I called the store the next day to schedule a delivery for that piece for Tuesday, October 15. I had to work, but my friend was able to stay home all day. The driver called her at 4:00 and said they'd be there in 15 minutes. They showed up TWO hours later. The delivery guy wouldn't answer the phone and didn't have voice mail set up when she tried to call to see when they were really coming. When they finally showed up, they were annoyed that they had to take away the box spring that didn't fit, tried to collect delivery charges and when they went upstairs to set up the box spring and mattress, the slats weren't on the bed and they said it wasn't their job to do that. So, they just left the box spring and mattress on the floor and didn't do their jobs and set it up. I called Diamond Furniture after I heard about this and they tried to get a hold of the delivery guy to send him back to set it up. Again, he wouldn't answer his phone and had no voice mail. They told me it was pretty easy to put the slats down and set it up myself and they would give me a discount. I went home to try to set it up myself and found that the slats were for a single bed, not a queen. They are going to send someone out, again, on Saturday, October 19 and promised me a discount. I will update this after that date. Their delivery service has always been an F though. A few years ago, I bought a living room set and when they came to deliver it, they couldn't get it through the front door (I lived in an apartment at the time). So, they were going to leave it on the front porch for me to deal with it. I had to fight with them to take it back. Then, I went to get a futon set to replace that furniture and when they delivered it, they insisted that I had all the pieces that I needed (since I had to set it up myself). A few days later, when I went to set it up, I was missing 2 boxes. Diamond Furniture really needs to find another delivery contractor.
Description of Work: I'm giving Diamond Furniture, itself, all A's because they have always been good. I bought furniture from them a few times. Their prices are good and the sales people are spectacular. Their delivery contractors, on the other hand, get an F.
