Vince answered the very first call i placed to him and we established a date and time for an estimate of the work. He arrived promptly. He was very personable and seemingly interested in the job. He agreed to send me an estimate in 2-3 days. It is now one week later. I have not heard from Vince despite calling him twice (left 2 messages on his phone ) AND sending an email. I am disappointed and somewhat surprised based upon all the positive feedback he had received.

Vincent came out on time to the estimate and he could not have been nicer. He is the nicest and most responsive contractor that I have ever met. He gave me a written estimate with a wonderful detailed picture the very same day! He is really great. I will absolutely be using Dependable Concrete in the future and I highly recommend that you give them a call.

Dependable Concrete stood up to their name. This is the only contractor that said they would have the quote returned in 2 days and followed through with it. Quotes on online and emailed for easy access. The work began on the day that Vincent said it would start. Sidewalk and curb were demolished in 1 day and poured the very next day. Brushed finish looks great and work was done cleanly without any mess onto the brick front. Neighbor's compliments have been offered since the day it dried. The rear wall was demolished in 1 day and repaired the next. Stucco finish to follow matching exactly the stucco on the rest of the rear of the house. I would recommend Vincent and his crew to anyone interested in getting professional work at a reasonable cost. He worked with us the entire time and contacted me with any questions during the project. Great job Dependable!

Vince and his team re-poured a concrete patio at the back of our Fishtown townhouse. He also set four fence posts in concrete before pouring the rest of the cement. Finally, he also added a concrete floor to a little shed we have attached to the back of the house. It was around 21 feet x 7 feet along with a roughly 3 x 3 foot floor in the shed. Overall, we had a great experience with Vince and his team. There was a little weather related delay due to rain, but they came the first day after the rain stopped and completed the job. He poured the footings one day for a couple of hours and then did the remainder of the work the second day. Vince and his guys were very professional, courteous and did the job well. While a lot of other contractors had lead times of four to six weeks, Vince was able to start the job less than a week after we accepted his proposal. Furthermore, he was the most reasonable proposal of the three we received. A great experience, I will use him again and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Overall, everything went very well and even better than I expected.

Overall we were very happy with the final product. There were a few bumps in the road but primarily because the area was so tight to work in. The job took a little longer than expected but we were quite pleased in the end.

Dependable Concrete did an excellent job. I needed this work done fast, and they did it in a day, just two days after I had gotten my original quote! There were 6 guys working on our house all day long, and they worked hard, consistently, courteously, and considerately. And the finished product was beautiful. A number of people have asked me who did the job, and I've recommended Dependable Concrete to all of them. From start to finish, this was a great experience. Vincent called me back almost right away when I called for an initial quote, and he came out to my house just a few hours later. His initial quote was a bit high, but he worked with me to match our lowest quote and lower the price on another service that hadn't been included in the lower quote (the porch refinishing). We were putting our house on the market, so we needed the work done within the week, and Vincent was able to schedule me in just two days later. He said they'd arrive first thing, and they did. They brought the right number of people and equipment to knock out the job in the time they promised. They finished the whole thing between 9am and 5pm that day, leaving us with a sidewalk and porch that looked so good it made us want to stay in our house! Our only regret was that we hadn't hired them a few years earlier. I also really enjoyed talking with Vincent, who was kind, smart, and a great conversationalist. He answered my questions about the work, he treated me with respect (as a woman, I am pretty used to contractors talking down to me, but he didn't do this at all), and we even got to chat about other things as well. He and his team were also very sweet with my children. Vincent knows how to run an honest business. At the end, he even told me to give him a call if I noticed anything they had missed. Overall, this was a purely positive experience for all of us, and I plan on calling Dependable Concrete the next time I have any kind of concrete work to be done.

Dependable Concrete lives up to its name. When I was in the process of soliciting bids for the work (I got them from 10 different contractors), Vincent Douglass came to my house several times to answer our questions and revise his estimate as the scope and planning of the project evolved. He also accommodated our request to perform the work during a particular week in July that was best for us. He and his work crew came as scheduled and completed the job in 3 days as promised. I couldn't be happier with the result.

Vincent is a pleasure to deal with. He is the owner of Dependable Concrete LLC. I had several estimates completed to replace the sidewalk in front of my house which was cracked and peeling due to salt application in the winter time. Vincent has an amazing website with videos of him performing work on other houses - this is what attracted me to his company. They have such an amazing attention to detail they're proud to show it off to the world! I emailed Vincent and told him what I needed. Within a day or two he was out to look at everything and provided the estimate electronically. I really appreciated this so I could save it and follow up on it later. I always lose my paper estimates! After emailing him back we scheduled the work. I couldn't believe how prompt he was. "We can start tomorrow at 9am" he told me. This job was QUICK. Within 2 days they completed removed all old sidewalk and installed a new sidewalk. It's absolutely beautiful. I even had compliments from my neighbors about how nice the job came out. It's a nice bright white color with attractive swirls in it. The lines between panes are deep and defined. I can tell that this concrete will last a long time. It has to - because he gives a 5 year warranty on his work. You don't see that every day! Vincent even told me how to take care of my new sidewalk and what to use on it. I followed his advice and I've had no problems. In the future I plan on using him to replace 8 concrete stairs out front. His website also says that he does pointing work. I might try him out for that as well.

They were good. My only complaint is that he showed up late. Once he was here the quality of work was good. I gave him a caveat to do a minor touch-up. We had some water leaks in our basement and he still did a good job with the initial work. I had one spot touched up and it came out without any problems. Their price was fair compared to the other estimates that I got.

No service performed. Vince came to our house on September 14th and said he'd give us an estimate. A week later I sent him a follow up email asking for an estimate - no response. A week after that, I called and left a message asking for an estimate - no response.

It was a great experience. I never had a problem - they were here on time everyday. It is hard to describe - you would have to come see the work. They did a gorgeous job and they really make my house look like the best on the block. I have referred family members to them and they say the same thing about them.

The owner, Vince Douglass, was extremely professional in all relations regarding this job. He was the low bidder out of 3 contractors. However, the amount still exceeded our budget and Vince worked with us to modify the design to bring the cost within budget. He kept me informed as to when the work would be performed and showed up with a crew of 5 on time. Vince was on site and did quite a bit of the technical work himself during the course of the job. The work was professionally performed and looks great. Clean up at the conclusion of the work was acceptable.

After two years, the basement parging remains intact. But in March 2009, after about 15 months (and two winters), the surface of the front sidewalk had begun to crumble. I looked at the contract and was surprised to see that the guarantee was invalid if salt had been used to thaw winter ice. I called Mr. Douglass and acknowledged to him that I had used salt on the sidewalk on 3 or 4 occasions but hadn?t known this was prohibited. He inspected the sidewalk anyway, and offered to re-surface it for a nominal charge?about $100. He did not acknowledge responsibility for the crumbling himself, nor did he attribute it to my use of salt. Nevertheless, I accepted his offer of re-surfacing. He said he would not want to do the work until warmer weather, about May 2009. I never heard from him again, and he has not responded to my phone call in late summer 2009. This episode is disappointing and puzzling in several aspects, but I prefer not to deal with Mr. Douglass any further.

I was pleased with the overall work once Mr. Douglass got there to do the work. However, it took numerous phone calls, emails, and near threats to get the job done! The only reason I chose this contractor was because he had high ratings on Angie's List, but feel that my "small job" (his words) was more of an inconvenience to him than anything else. If possible, I prefer to work with smaller contractors who live nearby. But I had to call or email this contractor often and did not get a response for days, he would not show-up to do the job when he said he would and claim it was because he was putting his "small jobs" together. I wish he had told me he was too busy for the job in the beginning as I felt he wasted much of my time and energy. When he finally did the job it was GREAT but getting him there was like pulling hen's teeth!

It was a perfect experience. The final product is superb and 100%. This was a difficult job. They were well-priced compared to competing bids.
