DeMayo Tile

I've commissioned Mike twice now. Once back in November to tile my vestibule and again recently to tile my kitchen floor. I've held off leaving a review until he finished my second project because he's a hidden gem. Once people realize how talented he is, you'll have to join a waiting list to hire him. Mike possesses a true mastery of his craft. I know a lot of people that would do a good job as long as there are no surprises. Mike will do an excellent job no matter the circumstances because he's probably seen it before and knows how to fix it. He has the confidence and knowledge to walk into a room and get to work. He's not going to call his manager or google the next step. He is the manager; he is the go-to guy. Secondly, he has a good eye for design too. For my vestibule, I had an idea of what I want. I explained it in my layman's terms and hazy descriptions and he saw what I was envisioning. I didn't need to over-explain it or draw a picture. He just got it. Also, and more importantly, he's honest. He gave me an estimate and stuck to it. That never happens. Anyone else would have charged extra when they discovered the subfloor was rotted, or when they saw a 10 degree slope in the corner. Mike didn't. He stuck to what he said and even fixed a few wall tiles in the kitchen - no charge. Not to mention, his prices are a bargain. People with half his skill, wanted a whole lot more. Lastly, he's a friendly guy. I know it can feel awkward having a stranger in your home. Not with Mike. He's trustworthy, down to earth, and you'll be friends in no time.

Finished product looks really good! Mike did a great job and was extremely thorough. Additionally, was very easy to work with and very responsive to calls and texts about scheduling / quoting / etc.

We needed to get our bathroom remodeled, due to a leak developing behind our home's original tile. We had tile floor to ceiling around the entire bathroom that needed to be removed, so basically everything was re-done except for the floor which was recently done. Mike came out quickly to give a quote and provided plenty of detail in an itemized list as requested so I didn't have any surprises. He was helpful with providing guidance while I was picking out all the materials (new tub, tile, faucets, etc.) in the weeks leading up to the renovation. When the job actually started, Mike and his worker were very professional, always on time, and great with communication. We ran into a few hiccups (of course, it's an old house), but Mike was very resourceful in coming up with solutions and the end results came out fantastic. Mike's communication and professionalism is awesome, and as a homeowner going through this whole process which can be scary, is exactly what I was hoping for when finding a contractor. We even noticed some grout cracking as the tiles settled (which is normal), and when I contacted him he immediately made time to come back out and touch it up. I would recommend DeMayo tile to anyone, and I'm looking forward to using them whenever we get around to remodeling our second bathroom.

We had Mike DeMayo replace tiles for the floor of our walk in shower and fix our buckled kitchen hardwood floor. Mike was able to suggest less costly repair options and still made the best of the situation. He is very responsive to texts and kept me informed of any issues. Mike was honest and easy to work with. We were happy to support a local small business that does clean, quality work.

So happy with the results of my kitchen backsplash! I had already had my cabinets and countertops redone... Mike did an amazing job removing the tile from the wall and reinstalling my new tile without damaging my walls, countertop or cabinets. Very professional, kind and punctual! Mike was great from the start! Quick to call and setup a visit. He gave a clear and honest price. Mike was understanding when we had to reschedule the initial install and worked with us to pick a date that worked for everyone. Mike did a fantastic job on a 3 x 3 foot tiled shower installation. He is a true artisan. This job involved demo of an old plastic molded shower enclosure, centering the drain pipe, pouring a cement floor, backing the walls with cement board, and installation of porcelain tile and a frameless glass enclosure. Of course, he does everything including all of the necessary plumbing and carpentry. Every house is different, and mine (~150 years old) had walls that were not exactly straight, but Mike figured out how to make them straight! He made a nice slope for the drain and two beautiful curbs capped with Carrara marble. He is someone who really knows his business and I highly recommend his services.

Demayo Tile takes great pride in what they offer. From concept into design, our finished space was so easy with their process. With the project completed, I would say that not only am I over-the-top satisfied with my new Hardwood Floors I’m excited to have found a honest company that I will be using on my future projects. Michael was great! He and his partner on the job did a fantastic job, they were on time, were efficient, and cleaned up the area. The tile looks great. We ran into a snag but luckily his brother (who does fence work) - just happened to stop by the property in center city. His prices are good and it all worked out well.

Mike DeMayo completely renovated my kitchen. His area of expertise is tile installation. However, he can do pretty much anything. Not only did he outfit my kitchen with new floor tile and backsplash, he also installed new kitchen cabinets and appliances. Mike is very professional and efficient. Highly recommend.

Mike was courteous, timely, shown up when he said, professional, he always answered all my questions, easy to talk to, and doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. It was unbelievable quality work and it is more than what I expected. He did an amazing job and the price is extremely reasonable.

He was absolutely fabulous. He always kept in touch with me. Always asked me if their was a question about which way things went. Or how I wanted things to be going. For example how I wanted a tile to go. He was always asking me first before anything was done. Right now he is doing tile on the second and third floor of my condo and the floors too, that is looking fabulous as well. He will go out of his way if I need help with something else. He is very professional.
