We hired Definis & Sons to replace our front door and also to replace two windows in our living room. We first went to the showroom back in January and we were quite impressed with their selection and knowledge about what we had in mind. A quote was given to us that same night and the next day, they came out to measure our door and windows. We first ordered just the front door and a few weeks later, called in to order the windows. Both jobs were done within a few weeks of each other. The contractor who came out both times was both professional and friendly. We hope to have him back soon for more windows!

Went to showroom on State Road and met Rudy Definis. Shown difference in windows and doors and made our decision to go with this manufacturer and contractor. Small deposit required ($1000 for both windows and doors). Jimmy Definis came out to the house to take measurements and we were told it would be about 7 weeks. Seven weeks on the mark received a call and schedule doors and windows to be installed. Unfortunately, a week prior to installing I ended up in the hospital for a month. They where very understanding and waited until I was released to reschedule. The Doors were installed in a day, and then the Windows in 2 days. The crew was very friendly and professional. The workmenship and quality is great.

After they ordered the slider door, it took 4 weeks to arrive, or about what we were promised. Installation then occurred less than a week later. The installer was right on time and called first. He was very professional and also was meticulous with the installation as he made sure everything was done correctly. As an example of how satisfied we are with Definis, we decided to go back and replace our front door through them.

Went great, they were able to schedule installation on an earlier date than they originally predicted, which was great. Did a very nice job, and when we realized the wrong hardware came in (combination error on my part and theirs, in terms of communication), they quickly remedied this, got the new hardware in, and came and fixed it within a few days. No questions asked. They were all very pleasant to work with and if we need new windows or doors elsewhere in the house, we'll be sure to contact them again.

I had very positive experience with them. It is a family run business and they guarantee their work and if something goes wrong like the one we have where one can slide up but it has a little latch at the top which you can flip up and they had started to wear and break off. So we called them and they came right out. Now I am ready to get the doors from them. We have used them two to three times.

Initial installation went well. Three years down the road, the storm door started corroding from the inside out. DeFinis agreed to replace the door event though it was out of warranty. Seems that some of the doors on the market used fiberboard inner cores which when water seeps in expands and pushes through the door from the inside out. I was told that the manufacturers are now using fiberglass inner cores so this is not a problem in the future. The installer who replaced the door did a poor job and DeFinis immediately sent another installer out to rectify the situation and the door is now replaced perfectly. They stand behind their products and work with you to resolve any outstanding issues.

I was very fortunate to discover DeFinis Windows Company through Angie's List. Late July my 30+ year old windows suddenly "gave out". What a horror to discover my back room over run with flies coming through the window frame. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I remembered a positive vendor contact through Angie's List and signed up for a second time to locate a reputable window contractor. I was not disappointed. As I reviewed the listings, I was impressed with the many positive reports DeFinis Company received. More importantly, I studied any negative comments and how Mr. DeFinis responded. First, there was only one negative comment I remember out of dozens of reports. Second, I was impressed with Mr. DeFinis' measured and logical response to a complaint perhaps lacking nuance. That clinched it for me. I drove over to their company store on State Road. I met Sandy who was wonderfully kind and upbeat during a somewhat stressful time. She was great assisting me in finding windows within my budget. She understood my concerns and promised to get the windows installed ASAP. Several days later, Mr. Definis came to my house. I apologized for the fly situation but he "smiled" and said don't worry about it. He'd seen all types of situations. His kind support in response to my embarrassment was very much appreciated. He did a thorough, professional job measuring the windows. The usual delivery time was about 4 weeks but he had the windows at the end of the 3rd week due to my situation. Much appreciated !! The installation crew was one of the best I ever encountered. They were friendly and extremely skilled in their work. The old windows were removed promptly and the new ones installed just as promptly and professionally. The windows look great and there is no more fly problem. Plus, I hope to get a tax break on energy saving investment! I getting 'block windows' installed and a new front door and I'm going to employ the DeFinis Company for this work. I highly recommend this company !!!

There were no problems from the time I walked into their showroom to the completion of the installation. The window was made by them and ready to install on time. The installers were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. I have absolutley no compalaints and would highly recommend them.

We have been doing business with Definis and Sons for 20+ years for our former and current homes. Their knowledge of their products and excellent installations and unmatched quality of their doors and windows is just the best.

They showed up on time and were very courteous and informative on everything that they were doing. They went an extra step and cleaned my vent for me as well. They were very clean and thorough. I have used them before and would recommend them in a heart beat.

We liked the idea of going to a showroom and being able to actually see and select both of the doors. We discussed the options for the side windows as well as the installation. The atmosphere was very welcoming and professional. We dealt with several of the family member who worked there and the experience was very satisfying. We waited a bit for the installation due to the fact that the picture windows had to be custom-made. When the installer came he was also very friendly and professional. Besides the installation of the windows and doors he capped the outside completely, re-attaching two outside railings in the process, and installing inside molding as well. He explained everything when he was finished and left the whole area completely clean. We are extremely pleased with the results. The functioning of the doors and the whole appearance of the work is exceptional. We are very satisfied with the overall experience from beginning to end and will be using them in the future. We recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I were looking for vinyl replacement windows and a 5' sliding patio door. We had several Angie's List A-rated companies provide estimates. We went to the Definis showroom on a Saturday. We were met by Jim Definis and his wife. The showroom is a much better experience than we expected. It was really great to see full sized products in a clean, organized space rather than the smaller, transportable ones you generally see in a home presentation. Jim was thoroughly pleasant and professional during his time with us. We talked about our needs and wants and then Jim showed us products he thought would be appropriate. We talked about installation techniques too. The products I saw were high quality (like many shoppers, I did some research prior to moving forward). Based on my measurements of the window openings, Jim quoted us all-inclusive (capping, disposal, etc) prices for the windows and a separate price for the sliding door - both of which we found extremely reasonable. Although Jim appropriately asked for the sale, there was no pressure and a great deal of understanding when we said that we had a couple of other companies scheduled to give us estimates. We felt comfortable enough with Jim and the Definis company (part personal interaction, part Angie's List reporting) to schedule him to visit our house the day after our last contractor was coming to give us a firm estimate. With the last contractor that visited, we saw a window that had the same performance but different features (not better, just different) than the one Jim was selling for essentially the same price (both were Energy Star Certified). The Definis sliding door was still our first choice (and if it weren't for the design differences, the Definis windows would have been our choice too). We decided to split the job between the two companies. I called Jim and told him about the split. Jim was very professional and classy with his response and asked what was it that made our decision - a good question in case he was able to provide the same thing - but unfortunately, this was not possible. Jim came out to the house later that day for a measurement. He provided the same price for the sliding door that he originally quoted when we met him in his showroom and treated the whole situation with class and professionalism. On Friday, July 19, the installer (Mike) arrived at 9 am (as scheduled - about 4-6 weeks after we ordered the door). He was pleasant and professional. I was on vacation and needed to stay in the room as we have pets that I needed to keep away from the project. This gave me a chance to watch the installation. Mike did not seem concerned by having an audience and was able to tell me a few things about the old sliding door and its installation. Mike covered the floor of the inside and the deck outside with cardboard. His preparation of the rough opening was impressive as he replaced some small pieces of wood without thinking twice. He cleaned up after himself and took everything away (NOT depositing it into my trash). He was finished in less than 4 hours. Difinis delivered everything Jim promised and we are thrilled.

They did a very good job. In fact, I've used them before.

After looking and getting quotes from numerous contractors we were recommended to check out DeFinis and Sons. We went to their showroom which was very nice to see all of the products they carry. They had it set up really nice. We met with Jim DeFinis and he showed us exactly what we wanted. The windows came in very quickly (3 weeks) and they had 5 guys come and install the windows. They were all extremely professional. They worked together as a team and got the job done in about 7 hours. We were extremely satisfied so much that we then ordered a 9 lite back door. Everything looks great. The quality and price cannot be beat.

We are the only house on our block that has this style window and we've gotten continuous raves and compliments from neighbors to the UPS delivery man. We went to a lot of different window companies before we went to check out Definis. The showroom was beautiful and much more than what we had seen at the other companies. The customer service was excellent. Rudy was great and is really knowledgeable and was able to supply us with the window that we wanted. Jim did a great job with the installation. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The front door was installed in about 4 hours &they did a great job. The windows were put in 1 day. All work was done ahead of schedule with very little mess. When they were done the clean was great. It was like they were never here.

My first experience today with this company was excellent. I would give them an A+ for everything Arrived on time, 8 AM, - 3 men, Jimmy, Tom, and Jim, all very professional, polite, friendly and neat. they lay down drop clothes on carpeting and over items in the room. Took away all the old windows. Job took 3-1/2 hours. No loud radios going. Windows look wonderful. I am so very pleased with everything. Came as was scheduled. One person working alone and he was very polite and quick. Cleaned up after himself. Windows look great. Room is already noticeably warmer and not as "Breezy". Certainly will use again for remaining windows once I've enough $$

Found this company online and visited the showroom on State Rd, which is easy to find, clean and has plenty of samples to look at. We pretty much knew what we wanted and picked it out of the catalog. The salesman was easygoing and knowledgeable with no hard-selling at all. We had already shopped around two other companies and the price was in-line with them, but we decided to go with Definis. Great choice. The doors took about a month to make and another week before they were installed. Installer was scheduled for 9am and showed up exactly on time. Very clean-cut and well spoken guy who did great work and customized the install per my request. He took away the old storm doors, cleaned up after himself and explained how everything worked. Great experience and highly recommend Definis!

My husband and I had been shopping around for doors for quite sometime with no luck. I called Delfinis and Sons to ask if they do in home estimates which they do but the gentleman suggested I come into their showroom (open until 8pm on Wednesdays). They had lots of door styles to choose from and we were very happy with their seletion. We put a deposit down on the door we picked out and scheduled a time for someone to measure, they were on time, he worked quickly and was very professional and pleasant. When the order was in we changed our mind about something and they did not give us a hard time, we dicided not to go with aluminum capping around the strom door. The installers arrived right at 9am on a Saturday morning as scheduled, they were extremely professional and the fact that we decided not to go with the aluminum capping actually made their job much more difficult because they had to practically build us a whole new door frame, but no one complained. They one guy even noticed our window was not working so he fixed it for us! We were very impressed with Delfinis and Sons, the whole experience was pleasant and stress free we highly recommend this company. We are so happy with our new front door and storm door, we also got glass block windows for our basement.

He arrived on time and was extremely neat and professional. His boss, one of the owner is coming out to inspect the work and to make sure everything was done right and to make sure that I am satisfied with the job.

About a year ago, I had this company install a steel door/storm door combination and couldn't have been more happy with the results. The salesperson was very friendly and personable and quoted me a very affordable price. The installers were professional, polite, and efficient and even cleaned up afterwards, removing both old doors and all the debris. I was so impressed, that when I needed new windows, I called them again, and last week they installed 6 new windows in my house. Once again, they were courteous, quick and clean. One pleasant experience could be a fluke, but after they impressed me once again, I felt I had to write a review.
