It didn't The contractor may have thought he was dealing with a clueless customer. Yes, he was respectful and courteous However, he made several mistakes, early-on, that popped up red flags. 1st. BAD SIGN: did not return my emails without pressure to do so; apologizing for being "busy" 2nd, All of the reviews on Angie's were INTERIOR jobs. When asked about this he said he "didn't need to post the exterior jobs... that they were on the Mainline and by word of mouth?" He had no photos of them to offer and did not invite me to go see them. Humm 3rd. Agreed he had to see the job before committing a quote to paper, yet did not offer a day and time to meet.. I had to petition him for that twice. 4th. Having reviewed detailed photos of the job prior to coming out, he offered a quote of "around $2000". I had already researched the average price of this job, I knew his quote was from the bait'n'switch playbook. Fine, and I insisted whatever got put on paper would be it.. Please, come to see the job and give me a breakdown of all cost. He agreed to come look. 5th. BAD SIGN: The contractor did not initiate responsibility for notifying the customer on his absence. He was late by 50 minutes, no call until I sent an email query on his whereabouts. The impression is of a contractor that does not DO what he says he will do. It is a thread that follows in his on sight inspection, as well. 6th. ON SIGHT INSPECTION: "You want the porch done, too? That will be more." Remember, I had sent detailed photos and stated all aspects of the job in the email. (Is it likely a guy that does a review as detailed as THIS one would have NOT included the porch in his description? The porch contains the most wood to be painted ! "OH, well that makes it more $$$$"., he said. "$000, and that's just for the labor, not the supplies." LOL, Now, how did I guess? The actual job would climb from $2000 to $6000. 7th. All the previous signs, suggesting a tendency to not do what he says he will do? He did not plan to scrape and sand the loose paint before painting. He only planned to scrape. Other painters have stated the necessity to sand, except Oleg. The impression is that he planned to do the minimum possible... no real effort to do the best he could do. Moreover, he wouldn't bother replacing even minor pieces of deteriorated wood... painting right over it. I felt like I would HAVE to be there to watch the job or this company would try to get away with even less than he told me he would do. Finally... I think this company is a grab-the-cash-and-run risk. I am not telling others NOT to hire him, but I AM saying be careful... be detailed and get it ALL in writing. He's not for me.

Oleg painted my living room, hallway, and all bedrooms upstairs. Also he painted a deck. He had all needed tools to make sure nothing is left over. Very clean! When I came home it was a new house inside!

Oleg and his guys were great, they showed up on time everyday and were very professional throughout the thole job. But its their quality of work that impressed me most about Color house painters. We have dealt with a numerous amount of painters before, and Oleg and his guys were the best by far. All the rooms came out perfect, clean and straight cuts everywhere. We also did a couple accent walls and they came out perfect, I recommended Color house painters to my friends and neighbors, and we will absolutely use them again,

I had Oleg and Colorhouse Painters painted most if my house and they did an amazing job! Not only was the job done perfectly but they also gave very helpful advice choosing colors and type of paint I should use. They are very neat and detailed. I love what they did to my house which included crown molding and baseboards. These guys were on time and their prices are great. Definitely having them come back when I'm ready for more changes!
