Description of Work: This was the second time I used them to check my air conditioning unit. The first year it just a check up the second year I need coolant which explains the price. I was able to make an appointment within a couple of days. Both times they were prompt courteous and fast.

Description of Work: What an awful experience. My carbon monoxide detector had gone off so i called the gas company which had shut down both my heater and hot water boiler since they were both putting out very high levels of carbon monoxide. I called several providers on Angie's list and decided that CHF was the most reasonable with regard to price. They built a new chimney liner and cleaned out my heater and fixed the hot water boiler for $900.00. That seemed great. Two days later the gas company knocked on my door to say there was an underground gas leak on my block and they wanted to see if if my house was affected by it, as several other houses on my block were.The good news was that my house was not affected by the gas leak on my block; the bad news was that the gas company detected that there were very high levels of carbon monoxide in my house coming from my heater and hot water boiler. Once again, the gas company shut off my heater and hot water boiler. I called CHF and they came over right away and said the heater was beyond repair. I called another provider at the advise of a friend. They came over promptly, and within 90 minutes had diagnosed and correctly fixed the problem which was that the heater had not been cleaned properly in the first place.If it wasn't for the unrelated gas leak on the other end of my block, and the gas company's prudent assessment I could have died from this company's gross incompetence. On the up side, they gave me a full refund and made me sign a release drawn by their lawyer stating that they had done no wrong and that the only reason they were refunding my money was because I wasn't 100% satisfied with their work--no mention of nearly killing me.

Description of Work: After a 4:30 pm call, Charlie stopped at 9:30 am the next morning to provide an estimate for a difficult water heater replacement. Despite having jobs scheduled for the day, a crew arrived at 12:00 pm, and finished the job by 3:00 pm. When you consider three hours for (mostly) three workers on an emergency basis, the price was very reasonable.

Description of Work: I've used CHF for both routine maintenance on my heat pump, as well as the replacement of the compressor. They seem to be reasonably priced, and I've had no problems with their work at all. We use them extensively in our building for general maintenance, as well.

Description of Work: With the start of the muggy summer, we wanted to ensure that air conditioning unit will run at its optimum. We used CHF from a referral by a friend. They came and performed duct cleaning services. They used special cameras that the duct was properly cleaned. They finished the job spraying the duct with solution for sanitizing effects.
