Castelli roofing was prompt in returning my calls and setting up an appointment. I interviewed 4 roofers. Their price was in the middle of the 4 but their professionalism was the best of the 4. The experience was as good as or better than most of the contractors I have delt with in my 65 years.

Marcy and Robert were great. They were both very responsive over the phone and answered all the questions we had, before, during and after they installed the roof. They came out in a timely manner, calling us ahead of time if there were changes to the expected schedule, and were very professional. The before and after pictures were very helpful, so we could really see the difference that they made with their work. We haven't had any problems since they installed the new roof, and I feel very confident that they will stand behind their work, which includes a 15 year warranty. It was a pleasure working with them!

Castelli was great. My roof had been leaking since the day I bought my place and finally needed a complete overhaul. Marci was fantastic, she worked around my budget and was an absolute professional. Robert and his team took two days for the job (only because it rained hard one of the days) and the job looks great. I now have gone through a couple days of rain and do not see any leakage. They also did a bit of demo and extra work that I asked for such as cutting the old deck into certain measurements for me to reuse. They were versatile, punctual, and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for a better experience.

I was very happy with the professionalism and responsiveness of Castelli. Marcy was very informative, thorough, and explained the work that would be done. They provided a guarantee on the roof work. The B ratings are more to do with a little lack of knowledge on what the work would cost. They seemed in line. Also, the quality of the work seemed fine, but without being able to inspect the roof myself, kind of hard to tell.... I did not have major leaks, however they noted some cracks and maintenance to be done. The cracks cold have been contributing to some dampness on the walls, so time will tell if that roof maintenance impacts that. I felt very comfortable with this company and feel that they were very trustworthy. The work that I could see was done well. Also, the work was completed in one day. They delivered on their timeframe and that was greatly appreciated. Not need for calls or follow-ups. It was nice to get the whole process from estimate, to scheduling, to completion all done by phone and have it done when they said it would be. Not disruption to my work schedule or life...it was just done.

Came out to give an estimate on leaking roof where some old slate met a flat modified roof way up above a 3rd floor house. They said they'd overhaul the area, replace slate, put a membrane underneath and it would cost $650. I said okay, sounds good. They said they completed the job but when I went to look at it I saw that they hadn't done what they stated they would, they only slapped a bit of tar on (something I could do). I called and talked to Marcy who said they could cut the bill from $650 to $500 but that's all they would do. I paid the slightly reduced bill to get rid of them and move onto a roofer who knew what they were doing and cared about it.

Company never showed up to home sfter taking a day off from work.

i was at work but my neighbors were very pleased! Castelli Bros are clean, friendly, and accommodating. I had water running down my rear basement walls when it rained and the house would smell of wet plaster. Now it is water free!! They are willing to work with you financially and always get back to you in a reasonable time. i like a person to tell me exactly what needs to be done and what they will do. Castelli bros does that.

Casstelli sent someone out quickly to look at my roof. They explained the work that needed to be done and the least expensive way to do it. Their bid was reasonable and they were able to schedule a day to do the work before another company was able to schedule someone to come out to look at the roof. I got 3 bids, but Casstelli was the best. It has been 2 months now and the water problem is solved. No leaks. I will use this company again in 3 years to reseal the roof and maintain it. They are reasonable and reliable.

***Update*** I reported to Robert Zammer-President of Castelli Roofing and Gen'l Construction well over a month ago that the new roof he had installed recently was leaking causing internal damage to the ceiling and walls inside my home. Marcy, who I believe is his Office Manager advised me that due to the severe snow/ice that we have had, her roof inspectors couldn't examine our roof to determine the sources/causes of our leaks. Once the weather improved she would contact me and arrange to have her employee (s) inspect our roof. On Monday, February 24, 2014 my wife found one of their business cards inside our front door. I sent Robert Zammer/Marcy an e-mail (see below) asking if they came to our without any prior notice and left their business card. Marcy responded that on the day they left their business card their employees went on our roof (uninvited) and found multiple areas of our roof that needed repairs and apparently completed these repairs (see below.) I sent Robert Zammer/Marcy another e-mail asking if they were going to take responsibility for the collateral damage that their faulty workmanship caused and she responded "No, our contract holds us harmless for any internal/external damage that results from their workmanship..." This is using at best a loophole to get out of taking responsibility for their shoddy workmanship, which under "consumer protection laws" I believe are illegal. I am asking you to investigate my claim and advise me what requirements/standards Angies List holds their Contractors to as warrantying their workmanship and if found to be substandard or contributing/causing collateral damages to a customer's residence, what these contractors are required to do to make the customer hole? Marcy has instructed me to put in a claim against my homeowner's even though their employees use of subpar materials and/or labor were a direct cause of my damages. Philip I am sorry you had internal damages. Most likely ice damming and frozen downspouts were the problem causing your water damage. This was due to the extreme weather and it has been very common issue that we've been dealing with. As per my contract/receipt, we are not responsible for any interior damages before, during or after roof work is completed. Again, I am sorry for the problem, however, you should contact your homeowners insurance for any interior damages. Thank you again. Marcy Castelli Roofing 215 334 9459 I contacted Castelli Roofing on 7/29/2013 and they came out that same day to inspect our internal leakage damage and our bi-level roof and windows. I was informed by the estimator/President of the company that I could get away with repairing the top roof and that they would guarantee the work for two years or replace the existing roof and receive a fifteen year guarantee. I elected to go with a new roof since my wife and I plan to remain in our home for the foreseeable future. I approved the written estimate and work was to and did commence and was completed on Friday, August 2, 2013. I asked Mr. Robert Zammer to take before and after photos with our camera, which he willingly agreed to do. The only issue I have was that Castelli's website on Angie's List indicated that they offer a 10% discount on jobs over $1,000.00, but when I spoke with the Office Mgr. Marcy she said that since 99% of their clients are Angie's List members they always quote them the lowest possible price so that there is no need for a separate 10% discount. In my opinion Castelli should either remove the 10% discount from their Angie's List website or include in their quotes a line item that clearly shows the 10% discount.

The porch roof was still leaking so we had them come back out. They stated it wasn't the roof leaking but something else was causing the leak. They never advised one time that there was additional work that needed to be done when they repaired the roof. Our enclosed porch is now more damaged than it was before which is the reason I needed to have the roof repaired in the first place. They also stated we had a rubber roof which our neighbors also have a rubber roof and ours doesn't look anywhere near the same. So now I question the type of roof I actually have.

The job was quoted and I chose Castelli Roofing to install the new roof. They showed up early on the day of the installation and completed the job professionally, and as quoted. The entire business transaction was very simple.

Everything went fantastic, my hat goes off to these guys. They came out and began working on my house during a severe thunder storm, what roofing company do you know that would attempt such a thing, " INCREDIBLE!" I felt very comfortable with Marcey who made my experience worry free and she sold me on the work before it even happened. This is the kind of custermer service and company that I am happy to recommend to anyone. Im pretty sure I'll have them over for drinks at some point, great job guys.

Excellent experience. Effective and prompt communication. They showed up for the initial assessment and provided an estimate right away. Afterward the initial estimate and before they came to fix the issue, we had more rain which provided more information about the problem. They were flexible in working up a different approach and estimate. I liked that they communicated via email (or phone), which was very convenient for me. They were friendly, careful with their tools and minimized dirt and disruption in the house. They showed up on time and did the work quickly. They worked well together (seemed like a good, in sync team) and the communications with their office (Marcy) were timely and helpful. One of the best experiences I have had with home repairs.

They are wonderful. I've used them for 5 or 6 years. They go the extra mile to help their clients. If I am a little short, they will wait on it. It is time for my maintenance coat and I told him I didn't have the money because I was waiting on my income tax refund. They said that was fine and they knew me. I was teasing them and told them I was a senior citizen and asked if I got a discount so they gave me $5 off. They are great. They are really nice people and they try to make sure that I am taken care of.

The roofers were punctual, professional and did a fantastic job.

They had a busy schedule but managed to fit us into their schedule. Robert came promptly and did a wonderful job installing a new gutter on our roof. What can I say? When you are calling around and none of the roofing companies can solve your problem right away, I cannot value their responsiveness and their honesty and trustworthiness enough. If we do need roofing services in the future, they would be the first on my mind.

It went very well. They were neat and professional. I haven't had any problems. I was satisfied.

They were very, very good with their work and were very punctual. I spoke with the owner, Robert, and he took some pictures of the old roof and also took pictures of the new roof to show me exactly what they had done.

I really like how they seemed to take ownership of their work and ownership of the roof. They offered to check in with me on a regular basis just to remind me that I need to come out to check the roof and do servicing. I had a home inspection done recently and everything went well, so I am confident that their work was good. It was pretty effortless, on my part. I didn't have to be there. I got a pretty detailed estimate from them via email. They followed up with phone calls, every step of the way. They don't take credit cards, but aside from that, everything was fine. They were honest and upfront and trustworthy, in terms of what they recommend. They were fine with me putting a check in the mail after the work was done. Everything went very smoothly.

No loud taking, just working. A nice change. Cleaned as they worked. Office staff worked with me when a problem came up with my paperwork. Thanks again, Marci!!!. Job completed in 1 day. Very clean and we love the job that we had done. Would recommend to all our friends and family.

We just bought a house and were told by the home inspector the roof needed to be replaced. We found Castelli Roofing on Angie's List and called to get an estimate based on the great reviews they had. Marcy was very helpful over the phone and was able to get someone out to look at the roof pretty quickly, despite all the random rain. When we confirmed that we wanted Castelli to do the work, they were able to get someone out in less than a week. He finished the roof and had everything cleaned up in less than a day. We contacted several contractors for estimates and Castelli was definitely a standout in terms of responsiveness.

It was almost a week before I heard from Marci but when she called she told me Bob would be out on a specific day and he did appear on time. Marci called me with an estimate and I agreed to the price, although I did not mention that I heard from them through Angie's List. Marci told me she would call me early this week with a date of when they would be out. Today (9/26) I was getting ready to go visit a friend in the hospital and Bob and another person showed up to do the roof. They didn't need to come in to the house so no warning wasn't a problem; and, I was happy they got here before the predicted rain that is coming over the next three days. However, they would have missed me if they were a half hour later and I would have to send them my check.

I hired Castelli roofing because of the companies Professionalsim in handling the estimate, aNd Marcie's quick responses to my phone calls, and whillingness to answer any qrustions i had. Likewise the job preformed was extremely well done, and completed with no problems.
