Fine; no issues.

Messy job was done by Bob and his two sons with minimum of fuss and mess. Job was more complicated than just inserting a new liner because old one installed 25 years ago had come apart and was difficult to remove. But, Bob and his crew got the job done -- and without breaking into any walls. They cleaned up and carted off all debris. I was very pleased with the job -- especially since I had obtained two other bids that were more expensive.

Called Mr Hughes to inspect job and submit estimate. His cost was 3 times lower than another contractor so I questioned exactly what he would be doing. He was doing all of the work with no hidden charges. (First contractor hiked his price $840 when he actually came to do the job and having inspected twice before.) He called the night before to give exact time he would be there and was there on time. Did the work, cleaned up and left me with a smile. Very pleasant and knowledgeable company. No middle men, no uninformed office staff just Mr Hughes. Just GREAT!

Bob and his sons were right on time and were very efficent and clean up when finish. I now have a chimney that santa would be very proud to come down. thanks to Bob and his sons. nice job

Finally converting our heating system from oil to natural gas, of the many details I had to consider included whether or not the existing chimney /liner was sound enough to use in this situation. Reached out to several companies for an chimney inspection, one guy came out and checked the current furnace connections in the basement then went up on the roof the check the condition of the chimney when he was done I was asked if I had a fireplace which puzzled me since it the dominant feature in my living room, I explained that the fireplace was converted sometime ago from wood burning to a vent free fireplace and no longer vents out the chimney, he seemed unsure as how to get the liner into the furnace room without ending up in the fireplace after that he said he could not give me quote without getting a helper and doing a cleaning first..............then I called Bob Hughes who I found on a Philly Speaks forum, I was impressed that real estate and other housing professionals spoke highly of this company well I was not disappointed though he is extremely busy this time of year I had a hard time (not his fault) scheduling the inspection on days I was available, every couple of days he would call and ask if this day or that day was good or if he has a cancelations could he come by which I appreciated it showed he was earnest in trying to accommodate my schedule anyway when we finally meet he was worth the wait, when he completed his inspection he did some calculations and suggested the optimal size liner for my application. We set up an install date with him confirming the time (10:30 am) , he and his sons arrived on the dot and were polite, organized and respectful of my property. By 12 noon they had completed installing the liner and chimney cap ,disposed of the rubble and old liner, collected the tarps they used to protect the wood floors and explained that they left extra elbows and tubing so the furnace people could make the connections without incident. I would recommend him to anyone my only regret is that this company can't do my furnace install

Bob is great. He is busy but always returns phone calls by the end of the day. He also calls if he is delayed for any reason. He came one day to estimate the work that needed to be done and then returned the next day to do the work. He and a helper quickly removed my old gas log set and installed and set up the new set. He was very careful to lay down a tarp and vacuumed afterwards. He also went up on the roof to do a repair on my chimney - very quick and efficient.

He didn't charge me to tell me that I didn't need the work right now.

The best thing about working with this company is that I trust him. When he goes on the roof instead of cleaning and charging for three chimneys he'll only clean those that need it. One year he said none of my chimneys needed cleaning and didn't charge me (I gave him some money for his efforts anyway).

Job was a started a little later than agreed on but he did the work on a Saturday-which I really appreciated. The work was completed rapidly and well. Layed down tarps to protect floors and carpet; swept chimney with no dirt in the house; instructed me on how to use the damper. Price was exactly as estimated. Would call again without hesitation.
