Best Price Electric

Joe, the electrician who did the work was very pleasant. He explained what was involved. He gave me a good idea of what the cost of the replacements would be, and what the hourly rate for labor was. However, when he was ready to present me with the bill, I asked for the senior discount that was described in the ad in the Feb. 2012 Angie's List book. He told me it was too late to get the discount because he had already called the bill in. I asked couldn't he call in my request. He said the boss would refuse. I was really disappointed. No one, not he, nor the man who had answered my original phone call had mentioned that I would have to ask for my senior discount at the beginning of my dealings with them.

I had seen them in the Angie's List magazine in the December 2011 issue. Michael came over and I showed him what the problem was and which circuit breaker it was. He said we had to replace the whole thing because it was obsolete. He sent his workers over and they worked to replace the circuit breaker. They did severe damage to the wall in the closet and didn't repair it. Michael was supposed to come back to look at the work but never did. He told one of his men to finish up and get the check. After the new box was installed, we still had the same issue with the front lights, which leads us to believe that he is not truly an electrician. I later was able to discover the reason myself for the lights being out. The workers didn't know what Angie's List was when they arrived, which led me to believe they were even more suspicious. I post-dated the check so that I had time to cancel it. He is now harassing us to finish installing a light that we had originally planned on but now do not wish him to do.

They gave me a free estimate; Mike was nice and professional and they gave me a 15 year warranty on the work. They were pretty good, however, they left some old material that they had removed in the basement during their work. They apologized for that after I called them about it. They gave me information on safety and noticed that some other work wasn't done properly by someone else and offered to fix that for me. I would recommend them.

These people are a disaster--stay away. I had an outlet go out in my kitchen and called them. The man who came by--I believe his name is Michael also--said that my power was "maxed out" and I needed a new electrical system. I asked if the work would solve the problem of outlets not working, and he promised it would I agreed to let him install it, and he gave me a 10 year warranty. 3 months later 3 more outlets went out. I called to make good on my warranty and they would not call back. I complained to the Better Business Bureau, and they finally called and said they would come at a time I wasn't available. I had another electrician in to fix the problem and learned: they had installed the box but it wasn't up to code, they had doubled wiring under a single switch, they never installed the ground wire that was on the receipt--and the work that they had done was not what was needed to fix the problem anyway. Ultimately I took them to small claims court for faulty worksmanship and breach of contract and was awarded more than $1800--but they have never paid, and it's been well over a year. I even asked the sheriff of Philly to collect, but guess what, the Agusta Street address is not actually a business premises. Stay away--and Michael Felice, you owe me.

After shopping around to get several estimates from local companies, I found the price from Best Price Electric to be the best. I am extremely pleased with the service I receved from their company. They did a wonderful job in my home. The technicians that came to do the work arrived on time and were very polite and professional. I highly recommend them and would definitley use them again if I ever needed electrical work done.

I drove over to my mother's house after she called me complaining that the lights were continuously flickering and going out. After checking out the yellow pages, I found a company called Best Price Electric, Inc. which offered free estimates. I spoke to a man named Mike who was extremely helpful and explained what the problem could potentially be. He stated that he would be out within the hour to give me a completely free estimate and help me out. Mike arrived in approximately half an hour and was friendly and professional. He checked out the house and explained that my electrical system would need to be upgraded and around how much it would cost. Since the price was better than what I had been previously told from several other companies, I told him that I would appreciate it if they could get started on the work ASAP. In no time at all, he had a few of his electricians out to do the work. They too acted professionally and showed me step-by-step what needed to be done. The work they did was efficient and looked fantastic. After the work was done, Mike told me to feel free to call him if I had any problems at all with the work done. To date, the system still runs great and I have no problems to report. Since then, I recommend any and all friends to them for any problems they might have. I can't explain the frustration that comes with a sloppy electrical contracting company. Best Price Electric is the complete opposite. I'm a very satisfied customer and love the fact that I don't have to struggle to find someone who will do the job correctly and doesn't play games.
