Baxter Pest Control Co Inc

I've been with this company for the past year, and I've never seen consistent improvement. I feel like I have a close relationship with the exterminator John because he comes here so frequently. My home is new. Newly built. And for the past year, the company has been doing quick fixes at my house. They never eliminated the problem, they just held it off for a few days or a week or two before the problem persisted again, even though on their site they claim that for $99, "Baxter will eliminate the pest problem and keep it from coming back." LIES. I just spent a half an hour on hold on the phone, and no one ever came back to assist me. In that half an hour time, I called Orkin and set up a new account with their services, took a shower, made lunch, and ate it. I called back the number, after they hung up on me, I assume from being on hold for so long, and Toya, the receptionist, told me she couldn't help me because all the technicians were out. I don't think she understood what I was talking about, so I told her that I had been on hold for a half an hour without help, and they've lost my business. The exterminator, John, is a very nice person; however, the problems still persist and customer service is below standards. He was here two weeks ago to treat for roaches and he put this white chalk/powder all around my kitchen. He assured me that the problem would be taken care of for at least 8 weeks. They stayed around for days later, and the problem is not eliminated. My contract is up in 5 days, and I **** sure won't be giving them any more of my hard earned money. If you want your pest problem eliminated, DO NOT USE BAXTER PEST CONTROL. After writing this review on Google Reviews, they responded with: "(With all due respect sanitation is important and improved housekeeping will improve your recurring pest issues.) We understand your a teacher and working from home and it's frustrating. Marajuana smells and cigarette butts sometimes attract rodents. It may help to do better with removing those items. Along with making sure all rooms are accessible not not only the kitchen and basement. We appreciate your taking the time to write a review of our services over the last 1.5 years and we appreciate your business. Thanks again for the review." The company responded by deflecting and making a claim about "unsanitary" conditions and "improving housekeeping". While marijuana and cigarettes may attract pests, that's irrelevant. Also, this was never mentioned by John or anyone at the company as a "housekeeping" concern. John called me back not too long after I posted my review and left a message. He was very respectful and kind, as he always is. I appreciate that so much (for that, I can go up a star). Throughout his time working in my home, he also gave me small suggestions like putting filters over the vents and making sure the "junk draw" with pens and papers in it were packaged tightly in ziplock plastic bags. So, every suggestion John has made, I've taken, WITH NO AVAIL. John did not do work exclusively on my kitchen or my basement. With all due respect, their response is disrespectful because they don't assume ANY responsibility for not "eliminating the problem and keep it from coming back" (as they state on your website). Furthermore, I see they are reluctant to acknowledge the fact that I was on hold for over a half an hour this morning, that was disrespectful. It is frustrating, and I'm not sure why or how my occupation/ working from home matters or is helpful, or is relevant. I'd be frustrated at work or at home. I'm considering legal action.

I had to call Baxter back and forth about the technician's concern of being unable to enter my condominium building to the point where they threatened a service charge if the technician couldn't get in. I agreed to this and got off work early to wait for them. No one showed up despite me calling to confirm twice prior to the appointment. I left a message that evening with my information. No one called me back so I called again the next day and no one returned my call or answered. I'm furious that I had to take off work to wait for the technician who never showed up. It's been a few days now and no one has reached out so I had to go with another provider. Don't waste your time like I did.

In calling a few exterminators about a bed bug problem, I was referred to Baxters by another company that doesn't handle them. I spoke to an operator at their call center who took some preliminary information. In the course of this conversation she said that there would be no charge for the technician to come out and look over the situation then asked if I would want to have him start the job once there. I said that if the price was reasonable I would. She said she was setting up a tentative appointment for the next morning but that the technician would call back then to confirm it. The next morning I did get a phone call-from a different operator (salesperson?). This person explained that their treatments run between $99 and $525. Then she asked me more about the property and suddenly she said the cost was $750! Huh? I responded by saying that I wanted to go over all that with the technician once he saw what the job entailed. She said that they get $99 to come out, regardless. I responded by saying that the operator from last evening said they didn't charge to come out adding that I had been researching other companies and none of them charge to come out and assess the situation either. No apology, no, 'maybe you misunderstood' from her. So I said that if they insist on charging I was cancelling the appointment.

I've had a series of exterminators come out to the house, all of whom only seemed interested in spraying peppermint oil and laying traps. The Baxter technician (Jonathan) does much more. He actively searches for holes near the kitchen and seals them. He calks gaps between the floor and the baseboard. He gave us a great recommendation on a peppermint oil to spray daily to keep mice away. I'd highly recommend his services.

Their service was fine. We have been using them for 2 years. I haven't had an issue with them. I call them as needed.

They're through in their explanation thus far. They are also addressing the issues and getting the problem resolved. We'll see how well it turns out in 6 months.

I attempted to have Baxter come out for an estimate about five times over a 1-month period. Each time I made the appointment, I received an e-mail confirmation of the appointment but either no one showed up at the appointment time, or I received a call that the appointment needed to be rescheduled and no one showed up at the reschedule time. I left work early at least two times to make sure I was home during the appointment time for no reason. I would not recommend using this company.

I had a really hard time just getting them to commit to an appointment date.It was like pulling teeth. Their customer service was lazy and unprofessional

The exterminator was very friendly and responsive to questions. Their website and scheduling system were very easy to use and the scheduler person was quick and responsive as well.

Baxter is reliable, on time, efficient, and dependable. They'll come out for adjustments when you aren't home if necessary.

I CALLED TO REQUEST A WRITTEN ESTIMATE AND WAS ASKED BY THE CALL TAKER WHAT I WANTED IT FOR. I RESPONDED THAT I WANTED IT TO COMPARE COMPANIES, COSTS, GUARANTEES, ETC. WHEN CALL TAKER WAS HESITANT, I ASKED IF THE REQUEST WAS UNUSUAL. HE REPLIED ''YES, THAT IS WHY I ASKED YOU.'' WHEN I INFORMED HIM THAT I HAD CONTACTED OTHER COMPANIES THAT HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THE REQUEST, HE SAID ''WELL, CALL THE OTHER COMPANIES.'' I HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY SERVICE BEFORE I FOUND THEM TO BE EXTREMELY RUDE, NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I'M GLAD I WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO SAVE MY MONEY.
