They were overwhelmed with work, but when they finally got here, they appear to have done a great job. however we will not really understand this until the first large rainfall which should be in the next few months.

Better pricing than others because it included finished walls (there were extra charges for additional finishing like drywall). Easy to work with the team for planning and scheduling, and the work was done efficiently. Good network for additional services like flooring.

Work done in a timely manner. Job site left clean. Project successfully completed.

This has been finished for about 6 weeks, and during that time, despite some big big rains our basement has been completely dry. I found they gave a great price for what was a big job, i liked the guys who did the work, and i am very happy with how it turned out.

They arrived when they said they would. They were very professional , cleaned up everything and it was a very good experience. So far after several months we have not had any water issues in the house.

I had a fantastic experience with Dan from Basement Gurus! He helped install a French drain in my basement crawl space, and I couldnâ  t be happier with the results. Not only did he address the drainage issue, but he also sealed off openings under my wood deck that were allowing raccoons to get in. Dan and his team were both efficient and knowledgeable. They installed a french drain sump pump and made repairs to our footings at our residence three years ago and not a drop of water since then! Thats why we recommended them for the work we recently did at our church. The crew installed a complete system with two sumps and pumps in two days! From start to finish they did an outstanding job at competitive prices using quality materials. The clean up was amazing as well! Except for the new concrete, you would never know all of the work that was involved! I highly recommend Dan and the Basement Guruâ s for all of your water infiltration/foundation needs!!! You wont be disappointed!!!

Iâ ve dealt with many contractors in my day very few say what theyâ re going to do and do it! Dan and his team not only fixed my water issue in my basement they arrived on time finished the job when they told me it would be finished. Men cleaned up and left the job how they found it!! I wouldnâ t call anyone else, and I highly recommend Dan and his team!!

Professionally handled

We had the worst experience with this company. We hired them to do an egress window and were going to use them for an entire basement remodel, but did not. They subcontracted the egress window, the crew came in unmarked work trucks, showed up late, used gas machines inside, did not lay the drainage properly or the lintel. And failed three inspections! The owner even brought his young daughter to our house, knocked on the door and demaned payment when the job wasn't even done. We decided to forgo our $2.5k deposit and go with another basement company - who was fantastic! They even charged about $2k less than Basement Guru's. Please beware of using Basement Guru's from theWilmington, DE area. They are not professional and overprice their work. It really was the worst experience that we have ever had. We ended up using Adam's Basement, who was professional, fast and resonably priced.

Starting from the beginning to the end result John and his team from Basement Gurus were amazing. I first met with John to go over my basement and all my water issues in my basement which mind you is built in 1965. He looked over everything and explained what he saw and explained the system that would resolve my issues. He went over all about his products and services and was very good to answer any questions I had which I typically have allot of questions since I like to fully understand everything for my own knowledge. He gave me a price which took me alittle bit of time to think about and decide on. I am definitely not made of money but understood the investment and peace of mind made it worth it. I trusted in him and his crew to deliver and let me tell you THEY HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK! They showed up when promised. Started working right away and didn't stop until nearly 7pm until everything was done and I was super happy. If you are in the fence about John and his crew. Don't be! They do what they say they will do and I have no doubt that if anything goes wrong John is going to be one call away. Thanks so so much guys. I will recommend you to everyone!

Everything was professionally done and in a timely time thanks for fixing my basement so I don't ever have to worry about water again!!

My wife and I purchased our home in June in a flood zone. There was hydrostatic pressure causing foundation wall bowing. There was a sump pit and some sort of drainage system, but that thing cycled constantly day and night. The deluge of rain last month caused water to start coming up through the basement floor flooding the finished basement. The existing drain system failed. I immediately began researching reputable waterproofing companies to come out, diagnose the problem and provide a cure. The very next day I heard back from Basement Gurus. I was informed that with the influx of calls due to the local area flooding the owner of the company himself would come out that weekend to assess the issue. Dan arrived on time and got right to work inspecting the problem in the basement. He brought my wife and I upstairs and took time to explain the problem and a proposed solution. It was self-evident that the product he would be installing was quality, that they really were going to literally get to the root of the problem by digging down the foundations footer. The scope of the work described was clear: they weren't afraid to work hard and they weren't cutting any corners. He wrote up a quote within our price range and what my research indicated was more than reasonable. He felt so confident in his proposed solution and teams ability to solve the problem that he offered a lifetime transferable guarantee we would never have this problem again which was included on the contract. We felt so comfortable with the proposal that we locked in on the spot. His team arranged to come out as soon as possible and they arrived about 8 am the day of the project with about 15 guys. Wow! This guy means business. For us, this meant a great likelihood that the extensive project wouldn't drag on (unlike this review). They worked all day and were done and cleaned up by about 5. Since the job was finished the sump went from cycling every 57 seconds day and night, to cycling just once a day, 10 days later. I can finally sleep at night without hearing the water hammer from the sump pump constantly. With how often the sump was cycling I couldn't even find enough time to swap out the check valve for a quiet one. I am planning on fixing that this weekend! So far we are more than impressed. I feel confident that this problem is solved for good, and if anything goes wrong I trust that Dan and his team will make it right. This guy oozes passion for what he does and it is very clear he actually cares about the people he is serving. He is clearly knowledgeable, his team is equally extraordinary. If you have any waterproofing needs, do yourself a favor and let this guy come out to propose a solution for you. If our experience is any indication I feel confident to say that you won't regret it. If you are asking why you should trust a stranger know that I received nothing in exchange for writing this review. I am just a grateful home owner who understands how stressful a water emergency in the basement can be. They did awesome job and clean up all their mess very clean and respectful

I heard them to do a sump pump in pit for me and they did an excellent job. It was just tested in the last rain storm and passed. I am very happy my basement stayed dry throughout the torrential rains.

Our basement started flooding . We called and they came almost within the hour. They determined where the water was coming in and fixed the problem and we have not had any water in the basement since. They were very thorough and professional. Would definitely recommend! They were great!

This review is way overdue, but better late than never! Basement Gurus did an outstanding job installing a French drain system in our basement in 2021! Our basement had water coming in for years. It was just a damp unusable space. For 3 years now, we have enjoyed a perfectly dry basement. We never dreamed we could actually use our basement for living space, but we have partially finished it to include a playroom for our grandchildren, an artisan room for my husbandâ s food hobbies, and a crafting space for me. I even enjoy doing the laundry now that it is so dry down there! Dan and the crew were very professionals and are experts in their field!
