Barry painted my new condo and it's gorgeous. This is the second time he has done a house for me. Wonderful!!

Barry was very responsive. He was punctual, polite and reliable. He has a pleasant personality and was easy to work with. I could trust leaving him and his team alone in my home as I was out of town when the painting occurred. He communicates very clearly and is an experienced painter. I gave his number to a friend who also is having her house painted. I had no complaints from neighbors or management in our building.

Barry and his team were clean, polite, professional, timely and did a great job on painting my house. Barry was responsive in all communication and he and his team left us feeling very comfortable with leaving them full access to our home while we were not there to complete the work. Barry and his team were a delight to work with. Once we realized the potential grandeur of our largest and most detailed room, we gave up on our ability to DIY and called in the pros to give it a full do-over. Covered in wallpaper and suffering multiple cracks and deteriorating plaster on walls, ornate crown moldings, and ceiling, we did not have the highest hopes for how much could be restored. Barry transformed the room beyond our expectations (especially the ceiling - unrecognizable), and was helpful throughout with suggestions and insights. Very notable is that the moldings were also wallpapered, and we agreed to leave them that way so as not to create a ton of extra work. However, Barry took it upon himself to strip them and deal with the headache that lay beneath because he felt it was best for the room. Then painted the entire room in 4 different colors, including the ceiling. Honest, courteous, and truly professional throughout. We have yet to work with anyone as passionate for their craft.

Barry Bush and his team are true professionals. Their work is high quality at a fair price. These are the only folks in Philly you want painting your house.

Barry was easy to correspond with by email, and he was able to schedule me for potentially time-sensitive work at the time I needed. He and his team arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and performed the work as requested. They kept me updated on the progress and expected completion date and time. He even added an additional service in an adjoining room that I had recently discovered. Their work for of very high quality, and Barry and his team were concerned that I was satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

Barry responded quickly to my initial inquiry, and was prompt to look over the house and provide a quote. His team arrived on the day agreed and the job took exactly as long as Barry had estimated (4 days). The painters themselves are polite, intelligent, and careful workers. They did a great a job, and Barry came back himself to touch up one spot that needed additional work. They are not the cheapest painters working in center city, but quality is very good and Barry Bush runs a very professional business. I would definitely use them again.

Barry and his crew painted the interior of our 3 story home, a rehab project. They were professional, polite, and thorough. From the moment I met Barry I had a feeling he would be the right person for the job, and my gut decision was 100% right. While his estimate wasn't the cheapest (on the lower end but not the lowest) the extra $ was worth it to have a thorough, excellent paint job. I highly recommend!

This project went very smoothly. Barry is a really great communicator. We emailed back and forth and were able to work out all of the details of the job before he began. He always responded in quickly. His workers were always on time, courteous, and a pleasure to have in our house. Barry estimated that the job would take two days, and they were able to complete the job in the estimated time, working very steadily. There were a few minor touchups and corrections that need to be done, and they were addressed and taken care of very promptly. I would be happy to use Barry Bush in the future, and I would be glad to recommend his company.

Barry was there on time and got the job done quickly - the apartment looked so different and smelled great having all the smoke off the walls and ceiling. Barry had a guy who did a wonderful job repairing the dry wall where water had stained the ceiling in the bedroom. They cleaned up after themselves - even when they missed a door it was less than a day and they were back to complete the oversight. Friendly and professional. I will use them again in a heart beat!

We've used Barry's company before, and were eager to hire him again. As always, he communicated regularly by email and text to schedule the work, and made good suggestions about how best to achieve our desired results (including what we shouldn't do). They show up exactly when he said they would, were friendly and professional, worked hard and clean up beautifully. The work itself is first-rate. We will continue to hire Barry for any painting work we need done.

I got estimates from 3 highly rated painters on Angie's List but I chose Barry for my house for the following reasons: 1) he was the first one to respond to my inquiry and he continued to be extremely responsive before, during and after he completed the job (2.5 days of work) 2) he was very friendly and professional 3) even though his quote was higher than the other two painters I interviewed, Barry was willing to negotiate to a price that was comparable to the others 4) Barry was flexible with the dates he would come to paint Barry himself did not do any of the painting, but he came with his team on the first day to introduce them and explain what I needed done, and he came at the end of the day each day to review the work. The painters Barry employs are very good at what they do -- the lines are straight where the wall meets the ceiling, they did a great job preparing the walls before painting, and they were very personable and friendly while they were in my home. They also did a good job of cleaning up after they were finished each day. Basically, they were exactly what you would want from professional home painters. I would absolutely hire Barry and his team for future paint jobs in my home.

This project was great! We have a very long hallway with tall ceilings that was covered with decades worth of ugly textured wallpaper and paint. In just 3 days, Barry and his crew removed all the layers of wallpaper and paint, repaired and smoothed all the surfaces, and painted all of the walls, trim, ceiling, and doors in the hallway. They even kept the space pretty clean and dust-free throughout, which was also impressive. The outcome is fantastic and dramatically improved the overall look and feel of our home. We can't believe how quickly and thoroughly this project got done. It would have taken us weeks or months to do this on our own. This was money very well spent for us.

Barry was easy to coordinate the estimate with and schedule the days for the work to be done. His workers were prompt and did nice work. Best part was that they left the house surprisingly clean given the messy nature of the work done! I would certainly use Barry Bush Home Improvements again in the future.

They were great! Everyone who worked here was friendly, courteous and helpful. They kept things clean and put things away every night. It was a pleasure to have them all in the house.

Barry was the only person that I called about painting services that actually returned my call AND followed through by showing up to look at the work to be done and giving me an estimate. He emailed the estimate as scheduled, and after I accepted the estimate he scheduled the work in a timely fashion as I was on somewhat of a deadline to get the work completed. The crew showed up on the day and at the time that I was told, and the job was done in a very professional manner. Barry is an easy person to get along with, and his communication both before and during the job was some of the best that I have had. Getting any contractor to communicate is sometimes a challenge, so overall it was a very good experience working with him in that I knew what was going on, and he followed through with what he said.

This was the 4th time we've hired Barry's company, and we had another terrific experience. The job was tricky, as the stairwell is open, has lots of quirky turns and high ceilings, and required a lot of repair (sagging seams, nail pops, cracks, poor plastering). The crew did a beautiful job, and the surfaces look brand new and perfect. As always, Barry and his team were punctual, polite, professional, friendly, and efficient. Pricing was very reasonable considering the complexity of the job. The next time we need painting and/or related repair work done, I will hire Barry without hesitation. I couldn't recommend him or his company more highly.

Barry was great from day 1. He contacted me within 24 hours and was thorough in understanding what I needed done. I had had a flood from a leak and he checked out the damage, compared it to my insurance and assessed the best route to ensure that things were "good as new." I also had several other thing I "needed done while he was here." He took copious notes, was honest if something wasn't in his scope of work and got me a quote quickly. I trusted him from day 1 and he didn't let me down. He worked hard to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction, kept me up to date on all of the work and any issues he was having and everything looks great. In addition, it's hard to keep work areas clean when you are sanding and doing lots of "messy stuff," but every night things were in order and cleaned up (there is no accounting for all of the dust, but they did a good job). I have a few other projects down the road and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

I had another provider to do the tile in my bathroom. I then began to have issues with wallpaper coming down and some other issues. I then contacted Barry Bush Home Improvements. He supervises and provides the material. He brought in the crew he would be using. He asked me a lot of questions about what I wanted to have done. He sent me an estimate and we started the project. I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome of my bathroom. The frame to the door was partially ripped. They repaired and repainted it even though I had not asked them to do so. He was very cautious about the paint colors and made sure that I had chosen the correct colors. He was extremely detail oriented and made sure that everything was perfect.

There is nothing I would have had then do differently or better. Dealing with Barry was pleasant transparent, propt and easy. His staff were excellent work people - skilled, pleasant, accommodating and thorough. Even the music they played was to my taste. I enjoyed having them in my home and could not be more pleased with the results.

Barry and his team are terrific. They were prompt, courteous, and very professional, and they did a great job. It's possible that their prices are a little on the high side, but it was worth it for the quality and professionalism. We'd definitely use them again in the future.

Barry was very responsive both in the lead-up and during the job. He and his crew were very punctual, did an excellent job, and finished in exactly the time they estimated in advance. He was the only contractor who provided an estimate, so I can't comment on how that compared to others, but the final invoice matched the estimate exactly.

Barry impressed me with his attentiveness and punctuality as well as with the quality of his work. I was looking to fix up a rental property to make it more appealing to potential tenants and it was in need of a fair amount of work. The paint on the plaster walls was dingy, the trim surrounding the windows had been ripped out in conjunction with the condo association's window replacement project and never replaced not to mention that I had no idea how I was going to rehang window treatments 20 feet in the air, and the ceiling was in the middle of a home improvement project I'd started years ago but never finished. I contacted Barry for an estimate and he responded right away to set up an appointment to do a walk through. When he came out he asked a lot of questions and made sure to determine exactly what it was I was looking for. He also took a lot of notes, which was very reassuring. He didn't even seem intimidated by the fact that my windows (which take up most of the northern wall) were very, very tall and there isn't really a good way to access the top of them. Barry had me a quote within 48 hours and gave me a 10% discount for being an Angie's List member. Within a week he had contacted me to set up a start date and was an absolute mensch about getting my condo association all of the legal paperwork they needed from his insurance company. Even more impressive, despite the fact that his crew was struck by tragedy the weekend before the work was scheduled to begin (one worker hit by a car while riding his bike, another threw out her back) Barry managed to put together a plan that allowed the work to begin only a day behind schedule. He and his crew showed up promptly at 9:15 just like Barry said they would and they were done in just 3 days. The place looks beautiful and they did a wonderful job. When Barry submitted his invoice it was exactly as quoted and he provided receipts for all of the materials used. Barry Bush was a total pleasure to deal with. Thanks Barry!!!
