Everybody was very polite. I'm very happy with the new stairs. They look great. It took them two days to complete. The first day they removed original stairs, and put up the form. The second day they poured the concrete and finished them.

I called Mike on the phone he came over, we went through everything about my outside wall that needed a pointing work and he was very pleasant and professional. His workers came over yesterday to do the job and it was very professional and pleasant, they did a professional job it's really beautiful. and I am very pleased with the outcome. and I would definitely tell anyone about him he is GREAT!

Called Bander on Thursday, April 11th and set up an appointment for someone to come out and give an estimate the following Wednesday. I was impressed with his professional manner on the phone and met with Michael on Wednesday, April 17th. He quoted a price of $19,000 which didn't include the necessary city permit. He recommended someone he uses to obtain the permit, who charges $1000 to obtain the $30 city permit. He explained the process of building the wall with proper drainage, excavation, timeframe for completion, etc. Though I was very impressed with his professionalism, I felt the price was too high. It is for the reason of price and not quality of work, that I gave the No rating if would I hire again.

They did an excellent job. They were very thorough.

Mike and the workers were professional and courteous and the price was reasonable. They showed. up on time and completed the job on time.The finish product was even better than I expected. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The job was completed ahead of the estimated time frame to finish. The workers were very professional and did excellent work. Everyone at Bander was friendly. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get concrete work done in the local Philly area.

i was not able to be there for work done. repair was done but not best job, just an improvement. if i were there i would have seen the job done more proffesionally

The owner Michael S. provided a free estimate and surveyed the property providing tips to improve the drainage. Mike was very pleasant, professional and a pleasure to deal with. I accepted the estimate and a date was scheduled. Anthony and Victor arrived and efficiently performed the work over a two day period. They were very accommodating and performed additional patch work not originally contracted for. The window wells look great and all debris was removed by the contractor.

So far, they are professional, but not very punctual. However, they came and worked and stayed until they were finished. Still waiting on final product as we had some things for them to come back and correct. Will update my review accordingly.

They came out, and the guy was very nice, very informative, and he gave me the estimate, but the price was too high. The guy was excellent. He explained everything to me, he was very thorough, he was down to earth, he didn't BS me, but his price was one of the highest ones. I am on a fixed income, and I have only have so much money to get stuff done.

I thought they did a good job.They gave me good advise. They were businesslike and courteous. I thought everything was good. Their price was average.

Mike arrived on time with a pleasant and professional attitude. His knowledge, experience and zest for his trade was clearly obvious. This was my third and best offer to replace my front steps. I will definitely be using Bander Inc. to do the job.

They did a great Job. I was very pleased.

My concerns were never their concerns. At the end of their first treatment they were supposed to dye the cement on my chimney to make it look uniform with the rest of my house build. I was told they would come back out to do this and it never happened. They left drops of cement in my yard and never returned to remove it. They were very defensive each time I spoke to them. The buck was always passed. I disliked their communication tactics. There was absolutely no follow up. This company had no desire to make me happy. They did not even return for their sign.

I am currently taking a plumber to court for a refund on some work he did for me. He messed up a lot of concrete so now I have to have repairs done on that work. I need a company who can put in writing the estimate. This company will not do that. When I go in front of a judge, I need estimates so that they'll know how much to award me in the case. What good is a free estimate if they won't put it in writing?

Overall the pouring for new bullnose conccrete steps and reinstalling the handrail was good quality work. The technicians cleaned up as the project. L Marsh, Philadelphia Pa.

We don't usually post negative posts on Angies list but we felt this experience is needed to inform others about the unprofessional treatment we experienced. We made TWO appointments with Bander and neither appointment was kept. The first appointment was a Tues evening at 6pm - Bander didn't show up and didn't call to cancel or reschedule. We called at 6:15p and left a message asking if they were still coming to the appointment. We didn't hear back from Bander until the next day. At the receptionists suggestion, we reserved a mid-day time for the 2nd appointment - scheduled for 12:15p the following Thursday. The receptionist stressed that mid-day appointments were better for Bander. After rushing home during my lunch hour, Bander called at 12:00 (15min before our scheduled meeting time) to cancel the second appointment. I lose all respect for contractors who fail to make appointments - it is totally unprofessional. Frankly, I don't understand how contractors can stay in business with such poor customer service. Our recommendation is that you take your residential cement business elsewhere. In our opinion, if a contractor is sloppy and neglectful about keeping appointments then it is probably an indication of his work as well. Note: After I told the receptionist that we would be posting on Angie's list about our negative experience, the owner of Bander quickly called to apologize and offered to reschedule for a 3rd appointment - which we declined. I do give him credit for calling to apologize but I doubt such a call would have come had we not mentioned an intent to post about our negative experience. On the call with the owner, we simply told him to fix what is an obvious problem of scheduling, priorities, and unprofessional customer service.

The job went very well. We were pleased with the time it took and the professionalism of the people doing the work. Brian was awesome.There was a problem installing the new steps which required addition slabs to be installed at the landing. This wasn't discovered during the initial estimate. They explained the problem and installed the new slabs at no additional cost.

They were not difficult to reach via phone and they came out and gave a professional estimate (not just a business card with a figure written on it). They were friendly and all of our questions were answered. The wait was only 1-2 weeks (our job took about 2 days), but it was raining a lot so we weren't sure when they would be able to come out. They did end up making it earlier than expected and everything was done efficiently. It looks very nice now.
