Description of Work: I have been using Gillespie for years. They have handled trees brought down by storms, pruning, planting, transplanting and overall tree care. Thay are very professional and i would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Mr. Gillespie squeezed me in between appointments he had schedule in my area. The same day I called. He was on time, professinoal and did not rush the appointment. I explained my concern about a branch (with 2 holes) that hang over my neighbor driveway that I want remove and the dead limbs in the tree. He explained in detailed the work that would be done and gave a two week time frame for the job. I called the office on 10-8-13 accepted their bid.

Description of Work: The top half of our forty foot fir tree had been sliced off thanks to hurricane Sandy - we had the fallen half removed but wanted to get a professional evaluation of the rest of the tree that was still standing. Andrew came and did an assessment and we went with his recommendation that we clear out the old branches in the lower part of the tree - done well and we are secure knowing that the tree is safe and sound and still provides privacy and a border to our yard.

Description of Work: Mrs. Gillespie took the details of the service I requested, and was very understanding and cooperative, even though I am in Texas, and the work was to be done for my mother in Pennsylvania. The crew removed some enormous dead limbs from high in a sycamore tree. (Had any of these limbs fallen on someone, that person would surely have been killed.) They cut the tree limbs into firewood and stacked the firewood neatly. They also handled some other problems that did not relate to the tree service. These were kind things they did just because they were there and my mother is aged.

Description of Work: We had three huges trees cut down and the stumps ground. Two trees were in the back yard. They used crane to lift partial sections of the trees up and over the roof. They did all of this on one day with 9 guys and at least 4 trucks! Amazing service. Left the yards spotless.Can't say enough good things about this company. Price was the best from all estimates and the work was superb.

Description of Work: For over 8 years, Drew Gillespie has taken care of pruning and/or removing trees for us, and because of his reliability, flexibility and good prices, we asked him to do a big yard clean-up and remove a couple of trees at our new house. While the yard is relatively small, it seemed like a big job to us. He regraded the yard on all sides, evened out deep trenches and pits, put new dirt down and seeded. He also removed several stumps, removed 2 trees, redirected several downspouts underground to ensure better drainage in the yard, removed row of very overgrown hedges, removed a layer of construction trash (broken glass, nails, roofing material, etc.), and generally tidied up the yard. In addition, he utilized existing stones to fix up and extend a small wall that had become grown over with weeds and bushes, and was very uneven and unsightly. Best of all, Drew took a lot of time to talk with us before the job about what we might encounter once the hedges were removed, stopped the job in the middle to check with us about options that we had once we saw what was under the hedges, and then finished up quickly and neatly. We are really pleased with the work that was done and the manner in which he works with us. We look forward to asking him back next year for planting, moving trees and other landscaping services.
