It is the first time I have ever hired an interior designer. So I was not sure what to expect, but she was the one who designed the bathroom that was just done. She has wonderful ideas. The bathroom is absolutely stunning. She listens to you and very much tries to get to know you in terms of determining what we want. She doesn?t just come in and say here is the bathroom I want to do. There was a little problem with the budget. I think I ended up spending a lot more than I had expected to, which is partly my fault. I was not as pushy about finding out as to how much it would cost. She did a budget for me and showed it to me, but then it ended up being more. So, expense wise I would say use her unless you really want to do something that is pretty spectacular because it is going to cost you a good sum of money. The cost of the bathroom for the construction was $30000 and then there was another $30000 for not just the design, but for all the stuff that went into it like the materials. She is the one who got all the materials. If you are looking for a high-end designer and you have the money to spend, she has got wonderful ideas. She does beautiful work. Everyone who walks into my bathroom is just stunned. She is very responsive. There was something that wasn?t working and I told her about that. So, she told me that she would switch it out or find something else. We worked really well together. I really enjoyed the experience and I am really pleased with the end result. She was always reachable. I would send her an e-mail and she would get back to me pretty quickly. Anytime something was going on, she stopped by and made sure that it was handled correctly. During the design phase, she was probably over here once a week or so. She used to tell me what she had and asked me what I thought about it. It was really good. She kept me involved in all the steps. She used to bring samples and asked me what I thought of it. We went on a field trip together and looked for tiles. So it was a really fun experience and it was very enjoyable. So the customer service was good. We lost track of the budget. I was very bad about accepting whatever she asked me to do and then I used to find how much it cost later. There was one case with one of the glass tops, but I said I didn?t want it when she gave me the price for it. Her actual fee wasn?t expensive, but I paid her like $5000 as a design fee. She then purchased stuff and I had to see the difference between what she paid and the retail price. The quality of her work was excellent. The project took forever, but she certainly came when she was supposed to come. We also had to wait for the things to arrive. I would love to use her services for some things, but I am not sure if I can afford it. She is really terrific. I found her on a website and she just came when we started talking about what we wanted. I then looked at her website. I was very impressed with her background and her projects are all very different. You can see that she is not stamping it unnecessarily with her style, but what the customer wants. If you are her client, then she hires the contractors and she follows up on them. That?s what she normally does, but she didn?t do that for us. I hired my contractor for my project since I work with him all the time.
