Our overall experience with Almax Homes has been a nightmare. It would be too difficult to detail everything that has happened in the space available here, but what is most distressing is the lack of integrity and professionalism that we have experienced from them. From the initial inspection through the 16 months that we have lived here, we have discovered numerous problems with our home. All have been related to poor quality workmanship, construction mistakes, attempts to cut corners and do things on the cheap, etc. The lack of responsiveness and professionalism from Almax Homes in addressing these problems has been truly remarkable. We could offer dozens of examples, but the two most notable are that we have had flooding problems in our finished basement, and cracking tile, water penetration, and leaks in our shower. Both problems are the result of faulty construction. Almax Homes failed to deal with either issue appropriately throughout our warranty period. They have now stopped responding to any communication from us at all (including refusal to accept certified mail). We have been forced to hire contractors at thousands of dollars of our own expense to have the problems addressed. In general, we like our house. However, based on the many problems we've had resulting from poor quality workmanship, as well as our very unfortunate experience in dealing with the owners, we would strongly caution anyone who is considering purchasing a new home from Almax Homes, Inc.
