I find all of the people who have come to my house to be extremely honest. They do not overcharge or add extra unneeded items. They are kind and understand that your time is valuable. In addition, as a woman, I particularly appreciate the way they do not talk down to me. They take the time to explain everything. In short, great service that you can trust. What's not to like?

Everything smooth, professional-pleasant people to deal with in every way. Took two extra visits, but only because of parts.

I have used A&J Appliance in the past for both service calls and sales before I joined Angie's List. When I called last week to make and appointment, the office person was very pleasant and helpful. Two people from A&J arrived during the time stated. They checked the washer and could tell from the residue that the leaking was from over sudsing and then told me what sort of laundry detergent to use. And then turned on the washer and listened to the sound the machine was making. It was diagnosed as the bearings. They said that it will gradually get worse and that it can't be fixed because the whole drum would need to be replaced, that it is a design flaw of this model washer. I'm not pleased with the prognosis, but at least I know what to expect. He said that the machine will last about three more months. The money I spent on this can be subtracted from the price of a new washer if I buy it from A&J Appliance. I also asked a question about a problem with my kitchen stove and he spent a few minutes answering my question about it without any extra charge.

AJ showed up on time, performed perfectly and efficiently. They understood and did single repair and cleaned up after job was done.

AJ Appliances called back promptly to schedule a visit. They came within the time frame. The technician had the part already. He explained what happened to the old ignitor. made it work and explained very simply why it would not light up the oven and why the gas smell. Replace it in a matter of minutes and left, leaving the work area clean and neat. I highly recommend this company.

They are courteous and really knew their stuff. Everything they've promised, they delivered. When I mentioned that I was an Angie's List, he gave me an even better deal.

This company is terrific and the technician was very professional. During a kitchen renovation, the water line to our refrigerator became broken. I reported this to the company when I called for service but the message wasn't relayed properly to the technician because he didn't come with a new part to repair the refrigerator. Despite that he knew within 5 minutes what was needed and found a part in his truck that worked. Having gone without water or ice in my fridge for several weeks, I was ecstatic. The technician was professional, friendly and efficient, and the cost was reasonable. I will definitely use AJ Appliance again.

The representative was very professional as well as prompt. It was a great experience to be services by such a knowledgeable person. He gave us all kinds of pointers that would help us in the future.

The repairman did an excellent job making a quick diagnosis of the problem and came out very quickly from the time of the initial call (next business day). However, it took 2 days to get an estimate on the full repair and then 2 more days to get scheduled for the repair. All of this would have been just fine except that on the day the repair was scheduled, I got a call saying they did not have the part. It was almost a full week before the part arrived and the repair was finally completed. The repair was done well and the repairman was very professional and did a fantastic job thoroughly checking to make sure our dishwasher was in working order and not leaking prior to him departing. All in all, we were very satisfied with the quality of the work but the scheduling process was somewhat frustrating. AJ Appliance did try to make it right by giving a discount which we really appreciated.

I would highly recommend them. They were knowledgeable, professional, and they had a great appearance. Also they cleaned up and vacuumed when they were done. I couldn't even tell that they were their.

The technician was punctual and he got right down to the task at hand. He was very courteous and knowledgeable about the what caused the problem with the seal. He finished, cleaned up after himself was paid and then left.

I called them yesterday and they were here today. They were prompt and repaired the same in 30 minutes. They were very friendly and professional. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

My initial service call was answered promptly. I was given a detailed report of the problem and a recommendation to replace the unit. A replacement unit that I approved was installed on a date convenient to me. Everyone I had contact with was extremely helpful and professional. After reviewing price of the new unit on-line, I feel the price I paid for product and service combined was fair.

Called @ 8:40 in the morning to see if they could send someone today to repair my refrigerator...it wasn't keeping temperature. They had told me that they would call back to give me a time frame of when they could send someone. They called back around 10am to let me know that they will be sending someone between 12 noon and 3pm. Michael arrived around 1:30pm and went right to work. He immediately found the problem and luckily had a replacement part with him. He even repaired a broken door gasket on the freezer door. He let us know what to look out for should a similar problem occur.

They were very good. They were very friendly and were prompt. Michael came when he said he would come. They did everything for a reasonable price. They were very quick and efficient.

We would definitely call them back. They were reliable. He explained to us why the problem happened and how we could prevent it from happening in the future. Sure enough, we were able to avoid that problem happening again. They helped us prevent future problems, so they saved us money. They were on time.

Carmen arrived on time and was pleasant. He gave an estimate that was fair and I agreed to have the dryer repaired rather than replaced. There was a $60 service charge that was deducted from the final bill. They ordered the part and called when it was ready to schedule installation. They were able to schedule the repair fairly quickly and he arrived on time. The job was done in about 20 minutes. Quick and simple.

Today was the coldest day yet this winter and our gas furnace went out. I called AJ's this morning and they sent a technician over promptly. In a few hours he replaced the gas valve and got our heat back on. The guy was very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend AJ's Appliances in the future to anyone with a heater problem.

The technician was super fast. We sent an e-mail at 1 in the morning because that?s when we found out that the refrigerator was busted. They called us at 9 in the morning as soon as they opened. The guy also showed me how to fix it if it broke again. I was definitely very pleased. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Called on Friday, 12/3/10, to see if someone could come out to take a look at my washing machine. They had originally stated Tuesday, but I asked if it was possible for someone to come out on Monday because I was going to be home & they were able to accommodate. Carmen came out on Monday & fixed the problem...1, 2, 3!! I was glad that he was able to fix the washer because I really didn't want to buy new washer right before the holidays. Would definitely recommend.

My LG washer was displaying an "LE" error code. After speaking to LG customer service, they recommended that I have the machine looked at by an authorized LG service provider. That service provided had very poor reviews online, so I searched Angie's List (AL). I called several appliance repair companies last Sunday afternoon - all of which were highly rated on AL. A J Appliance was one of the first to call back on Monday morning. They were able to schedule an appointment on Wednesday. Although they only give you a 3 hour window, they do call you with a 30 minute notice, which was important since I had to leave work. The repairman was running about 20 minutes late, but AJ did call me to give me a heads up. The initial evaluation of the machine took about 20 minutes. The repairman was knowledgeable and professional. He charged me $60 for the service visit. He said his company would call me by the next day with an estimate for parts and labor. I pressed him for a ballpark figure and he said it'll be a several hundred dollars. He also said the $60 service fee would be taken off the repair costs if I chose to move ahead with AJ. About 30 minutes after he left, I received a call from AJ. Repair costs came to $291.00 (this was less the $60 service fee). I said yes and was given a few options for a repair date. I think they were able to come back as early as that afternoon, which I declined. I set the appointment up for that Friday. The same repairman arrived on Friday and fixed the machine within 30 minutes. He also gave me some helpful advice on how to keep the washer clean and functioning properly. Overall a very positive experience - all things considered.

Joe Pinto, the owner, called to apologize for his company's failures with my refrigerator gasket problem. He assured me that he was mortified by the response to my repair problems and told me he would see to it that it did not happen again. By way of compensation, he gave me the previous March repair jobs on microwave and ice-maker gratis (he had planned not to send me a bill until the gasket had also been repaired). As a result of his assurances by phone today and our fifteen-year experience together, I will definitely go back and try to use him again.

I called AJ appliance and they scheduled a technician to come out, they showed up on time, diagnosed the issue in my fridge and performed the repair on the spot. I did not do any price shopping so I can't speak to whether or not I got the best deal, but it was worth it to get my fridge running again.

The technician was on time, knew immediately what was wrong, knew how to fix it, and got it done quickly. He cleaned up after himself. I will definitely use again.
