I hired to replace a toilet, but the they could not install the toilet I purchased... They did replace the wax ring on the existing toilet for me... kinda wasted $99... but they were very professional and helpful I would call them again if I needed their services

Excellent - electrician was great; I did the $250 for 4 hours since I was most concerned with the two rooms that had lost power on the light switches; in the end he was here 2-3 hours and even with that - the deal was more than worth it. Great job overall - very happy - and will absolutely use A1 again for anything I need. Thank you !

He came to our home. He did not have a drop cloth because he had to drill in my ceiling to change a chandelier and relocate it about 6-8in. He had absolutely no equipment I had to go to the hard ware store.I made three trips to the hardware store. He had to drill holes in the ceiling i come in and there is a hole but it is not center. He said oh yeah I don't know what I was thinking and remeasures and drills another hole. I told him to wait until I got back until he drilled another hole as I wanted to make sure it was right this time. I come back into the room and he had drill a third hole in me ceiling, which was wrong again. The guy did not apologized. There was no normal response from him; like "I am sorry" or "We will get this fixed". He seemed like he had no experience to me. Now I have to pay someone to come in and fix these holes and also a second electrician to correctly fix this problem.

For their overall A rating and, in comparison with other electrical deals, A1 Handyman's $249 offer for four hours labor is the best current Angie's List deal available onthe website. And, more importantly, I was pleased with the work that Rob did because I had several different jobs that I needed to get done. And, what couldn't that day, was explained to my satisfaction. He arrived on time and: Replaced a light ballast in the basement. Replaced a ceiling light fixture in a hallway. Replaced a bathroom electrical fixture for a light in the bathroom. And, replaced a couple of electrical sockets. Even with the additional cost for supplies, the job was still less than $300 and it was completed in less than the four hours. I've never used their service before this day but I would have no problem in doing so again.

I purchased the $250 package for 4 hours of electrical work. The worker did a decent job; however, I live in Center City and he started his time clock when he punched into the garage (which I paid for). Therefore I lost at least a half hour to him having to walk to my house, find out what jobs I needed done, walk back to his truck (since he didn't think of bringing his tolls with him). At $250 for 4 hours, that amounts to approximately $40 wasted on his going back and forth to his car. Of course, the owner of this business will tell you in his response that he is right which he does to every Angie's List client that doesn't agree with him. Read through and you will see. But I believe that four hours of electrical work should mean four hours of electrical work - not walking to and from his truck.

Brandon was picking up the pieces from another contractor who left my high and dry. Coming from that experience I was a bit jaded on handymen but Brandon has provided the experience I would expect and was looking for. Number one thing with contractors for me is responsiveness and he gets back to me almost immediately. Prices have been fair and he gets the work done on time and quickly. I am not located close to the property and in a different time zone so he even coordinated with renters to make sure he can work efficiently. Will definitely use Brandon again and recommend his services. Gave his name to my realtor/friend who I normally go to for all of my referral needs because he should be passing out Brandon's name also.

Placed a call to him early Monday morning and asked if he was available for same day help. He was at another job but we made arrangements for him to stop by after that job. Stayed in contact and let me know what was going on and what he was doing once he got to work. We knew that it was a possibility for replacing the line and that is what we decided to do. Grateful that he was able to do the job the same day. He warned me that it was a messy job and it was! I appreciated his efforts to control the situation and clean up. Extremely professional and will call him again for future work.

Very satisified. Would rather have not had to deal with the faulty trap issue, which cost extra, but I wasn't surprised about the problem, because I suspected the crew that re-did my kitchen several years ago were a bunch of idiot.

It went very well. He came on time and installed it. Very friendly and seemed knowledgeable.

I got a Big Deal for $250 for 4 hours of electrical work. I ended up not being able to have a light fixture installed because I bought the wrong one (my fault entirely) which I didn't realize until that morning, so I didn't have quite enough work to take up 4 hours. After 3 hours we were done with the electrical stuff and then the service provider was kind enough to offer to install some blinds I had sitting around to use up some more time since I had paid for the additional hour. He was really efficient and I am pleased with the result on the electrical, and great to have the blinds up too! I'd call this provider again, and probably will when I need to have my track lighting fixed down the road.

These items were hard to find but Brandon were very resourceful and found and replace them quickly.

They lifted the toilet off of the floor and looked at the wax ring. They also inspected the toilet waste bend and didn't see any structural damage to the pipe. They added two wax rings under the toilet and explained why this was the best solution. When the bathroom floor was replaced, the new floor was put on top of the old floor, this is a problem, because the toilet waste pipe was flush with the floor, not sticking a few inches above the floor. This caused the toilet to not properly make a connection with the wax ring, which meant, with every flush of the toilet, water would run to my ceiling. They also explained how standalone showers cause problems when the shower pan under the floor. Once these shower pans go bad, the leaking will began and will be seen in the living room ceiling. Brandon and his coworker were very friendly, professional and above all "HONEST"., which i really respect. From now on, A1 Handyman & Home Plumbing Services will be my go to business for plumbing work. I also like the fact that they wanted to start small and not rip apart everything first.

First time in a while I've had a contractor show up, do a job, and leave, without there being any unpleasant surprises. The whole thing was uneventful, which is exactly what I want.

They were here on time. They got everything done. They cleaned up after themselves. He is good. They called right away; once I purchased the deal, we scheduled right away.

They came in and did the job correctly. They also gave me some recommendations for caulking. The pricing was great. They came out and took care of the problem really quick.

I really liked him. I have hired him to come back and do additional work for me. I liked him and trusted him. He just did work for me in May and I have more for him to do this month but I just haven't called him. However, it took him a while to get back to me both times.

He installed 2 toilets previously and did the job well. We called him back to install a ceiling fan and again the job was done well and he was very professional. I would use him again and recommend him.
