 + -1 moreThey always call you to check, and they call the person you send the flowers to check. The price is perfect. They ring my bell and they call me and say it is there.
Description of Work: I use 1 800 Flowers. My daughter used them the other day, she sent me a beautiful bouquet.

 + -1 moreTheir website was hinky and not easy to use, as I had to keep hitting the arrow key and trying to hover the arrow over the accept button. I was finally able to navigate through that h*** and place the flower order. They were to be delivered ON Mother's Day. The services were NOT performed. I waited all day to see if she would call to thank us, and nothing. I called her, she checked each of her decks...NOTHING. I got online and checked; it was CANCELLED. Without a call. Without an email. NADA. Mom lost Dad in August of 2012, she lives 200 miles away from us, I wanted to let her know she was not alone, and that we were thinking of her. How messed up is that?! All they offered was a slight discount, and kept telling me this was and quot;far from the customer service's fault.and quot; Really? Isn't it customer service's responsibility to contact me, and let me know what happened? Okay, so the florist where mom lives and quot;ran out of those particular flowers,and quot; LET ME KNOW SO I HAVE TIME TO CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE!!! Bunch of incompetent boobs!!! RUN!! Do NOT use this company! Run fast!!

 + -1 moreIn the pictures the lilies are in a vase with that price of $29.99, but when I called I was told it is actually $45 with the vase. There is nothing showing on there where the vase isn't included in that price. The guy that came on the phone was insisting that he had it saying that the vase wasn't included, the deal I got didn't state vase not included. You have to make sure you ask all the right questions when dealing with them.
Description of Work: They send me emails, because I have used their services before. I called them, they had a deal of the week - while supplies last, 50 blooms of Spring lilies just $29.99.

Description of Work: I placed an order for a birthday arrangement for my sister. I received a confirmation that the flowers would be delivered, and it was not until 5:30pm on the day of delivery that they called to tell me they could not deliver the arrangement that day. Needless to say, I was very unhappy, but they told me they would be able to deliver the next day. When I called the next morning to confirm the delivery, I was on hold for more than 15 minutes before they told me that they could not deliver that day, but could have a gift box delivered the following day. I explained my frustration and spoke with a manager who told me that the local florists could not complete the order. When I asked why, I was told that one florist did not have the correct vase in stock, another was too busy and the third did not want to deliver to the area because of high traffic. I was also told that 1-800-flowers.com was notified of this at 10:00am on the original date of delivery. I asked why it took them almost 6 hours to inform me of this, I was told that they were looking for other florists in the area who could complete my order. The manager then told me they only do business with the 3 aforementioned florists, so basically, he lied to me. He offered me a $25 gift card to which I told him that that would require me using their services again, which I was not about to do. He also told me that he could not offer me anything else, because the computer would not let him. I told him had I been informed when they found out the delivery could not be completed, I at least would have had the option of calling a different company, he told me that he would call my sister and explain that I am sorry. Um, no thank you. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. As it was, I was overpaying for flowers plus a $12.50 delivery fee, only to be left without flowers and without any other options. I am amazed that 1-800-flowers.com considers this acceptable on any level.

 + -1 moreGenerally well, but one set of floweres were not delivered. Additionally, I don't understand why to different work orders were created with the same work order confirmation number. It was a tad confusing.

 + -1 moreIn a pinch, 1-800-Flowers is excellent. They have a large selection of flowers and plants that can be delivered same-day in most areas. The only time I've ever had an issue is when the planter was broken upon arrival to a friend. They sent the same plant, same day, free of charge. They often have good circulars for discounts. The prices are a little much, but it's good to not have to worry about the service.
