Fabulous! Fran and his crew are so professional. His carpenter George did an excellent job, his attention to detail is very evident in his work. The half wall looks as if it was built that way and the fireplace looks incredible. The crew showed up on time everyday and always cleaned up at the end of every day.

Great work. Nice people. Totally dependable. Fran (the owner) checks in once a day to make sure everything is satisfactory. Worth every penny!

These guys do amazing work and are serious craftsmen. You get what you pay for - they are not the cheapest firm out there, however, they were priced right in line with several other contractors we evaluated. In our opinion, their work was far superior to the others which makes them a much better value in terms of what you spend. They kept us in the loop with every stage of the project. When we made some changes to the project they charged us a reasonable (minor) amount for the changes. We decided to use a different railing system - one that was slightly more expensive and more complicated to install. They did not increase their price even though this may have not been as profitable for them. Our job took longer than expected, but they were willing to do whatever it took to make sure it was not an inconvenience for us. They cleaned up after themselves each day before leaving so our home did not appear in disarray. I can't say enough good things about Francis X White. They are a top notch building/remodeling firm, completely capable to handle whatever the need may be. We will definitely be using them for any further home remodeling projects. Note: The pictures below show the finished deck, but it has not been cleaned yet after construction so it will look a little muddy. It's too cold outside right now to deal with that!

Fran and his team have completed numerous projects for us over the years (Portico, Back Patio & Cover, Master Bath, Hall Bath, Wainscoting, etc.) and his work is always top notch and professional. This kitchen remodel was no exception. Fran had great ideas and put us in touch with a cabinet designer that enabled us to maximize storage space and came up with a beautiful design. The work was performed on schedule and on budget and the result is fantastic. We couldn't be happier with the work that Fran performs for us.

Having contacted 4!!! other contractors to diagnose the cause of peeling paint on an inside window frame (all of whom said it was NOT water intrusion) I reached out to Fran White. Upon his inspection, MAJOR water damage to the surrounding building materials was discovered. The siding was removed, all the water damaged building materials replaced, window flashing properly installed, and the area made water-tight. The repair took 4 days to complete ( to solve a problem which others told me did not exist!). Francis X. White Builders was a wonderful company to deal with and I definitely plan to use them for all future jobs in my home.

Fran and his team were able to problem solve any issues that came up in a timely manner. They promptly came each day at 8 am and left at 4, making sure they cleaned up and left the house looking great. We are very happy with the work that they have done and look forward to working with Fran on other upcoming projects.

Francis X. White Inc. is the real deal! We cannot be more happy with their services. They were always on time, courteous, tidy, and professional. Fran and his crew became welcomed members of our household as they walked us through our 1000 sq. ft. remodel. The electrical, plumbing, painting, and general carpentery work were superior. It was an absolute joy getting to know Fran and his team, and we look forward to future work.

I am absolutely in love with our new built-in units. They did an amazing job and was so clean, professional, and pleasant to work with. I really loved how George the builder kept everything so tidy and neat each day he began and finished the workday. I am going to have Francis X White Builders come back to do more projects. I highly recommend their work!

After the original builder installed wrong ceiling insulation in our new addition Francis X White Builders have done a beautiful job they moved all our furniture and protected all the floors fixtures and walls. We are very pleased with the work they did on our house it looks beautiful now.

It was terrific they finished sooner then expected since my daughter was getting married that weekend the got it done sooner for me. Thank you!

I called Francis X White to get an estimate to replace a front porch and rear deck on my home. He came on time for the estimate. He was at my house for about an hour, taking photos and measurements. I believe he said I would get my estimate in about a week by email. After about three weeks, since I did not get an email, I gave Mr. White a call. He originally had no recollection of coming to my house for an estimate until I refreshed his memory. When he remembered who I was, he stated he would call his son and get an estimate to me by the end of the week. I never received an estimate or heard anything from him again.

Fran and his team did a wonderful job on our bathroom. We are very pleased. It took a little longer than expected but in the end it was worth the wait. I suspect they are not the cheapest out there but we valued their professionalism and quality of work. The project foreman was Steve this time whereas we had Les for the kitchen renovation. Both men were very respectful and did wonderful work. The subs were supervised and we never once worried about leaving them alone in our house. If we have another project we will contact Fran X White again.

Scheduled an appointment (spoke to Mr. White's son) to review project, nobody showed, no phone call, no followup whatsoever.

Fran White provided an exceptional level of professionalism. He delivers a measure of skill and craftsmanship that is second to none. He commits to a schedule and stays engaged until it is completed, including managing the fabricators of various components. All the pieces fit together perfectly, without any caulk or putty at the joints.

Process was great they were in and out with no disturbance to my home. Steps are now secure, everything was great.

The White building team was terrific. They came up with creative solutions to difficult problems, I.e. how to retrofit and move laundry facilities. The workmanship was outstanding! Even floor moldings were done perfectly. They took enormous pride in their work and were prompt to reply to any questions! I would recommend them without hesitation!!!

Great. The deck looked fantastic. The builder uncovered the cause of years of leaking into the back part of the house because the old deck's connection to the house and siding was not done properly. With my grateful consent, they completely redid the back outer plywood covering, insulation and matched the siding perfectly. Looks terrific. The work was done by a master carpenter who you could tell was completely dedicated to doing an outstanding job. The crews were delightfully friendly. Fran the owner came out on a few occasions to check the work. This company really cares about your house and does an phenomenal job. I would not hesitate to use them for a future project.

Fran knows how to manage a rebuild under an insurance claim. Took us through what to expect and stayed on top of the plan at every step along the way. Worked with the insurance company to make sure that we got the greatest benefit from our policy. Stayed on budget and on time throughout. Fran has a trusted and competent group of sub-contractors who do quality work. Fran is a hands on general contractor and was available to answer questions, and relay updates, at anytime. Has contacts for flooring, kitchen cabinets and plumbing fixtures who work closely with Fran to fulfill the customer's needs timely and professionally. Fran takes pride in his work and it shows. He is a craftsman, plain and simple. It's done right or not at all, so don't ask him to cut any corners. Very pleased with the results and would hire him again without hesitation.

We waited two and a half weeks for an estimate. When added to the time we waited to get an appointment with Mr. White, that put us at one month of "wait time". I received a phone call to "discuss the budget of the project". When I requested over the phone to have an estimate emailed to us, I was told that they didn't send anything in writing because it "took too much time". The gentleman then proceeded to verbally list all of the jobs that needed to be done, which included at least a half dozen jobs that we told the representative during the meeting that we wouldn't be doing at this time. It became clear at this time that either a) the representative wasn't listening to us, or b) they ignored us and based the proposal off the 3D rendering instead. The price they gave me was $125,000. It was difficult to understand how realistic this price was (since it included many jobs we didn't want them to do, and especially because nothing was broken down for us verbally or in writing). What did strike me as odd is that the gentleman told me that the kitchen (which makes up the large bulk of the project) would cost around $40,000-$50,000 by itself. I asked how, if the kitchen made up 80% of the work, the price could go from $50,000 to $125,000? The other work involved flooring, some basic electrical, replacing 6 stairs, framing and dry wall. Even if I bought the most expensive flooring available, the increase of $75,000 was not justified. Needless to say, we did not continue past the "estimate". I am disappointed because not only was our time wasted, but the company provided us with literally no breakdown that we could have used to determine if their price point was realistic. Maybe $125,000 is the price I would get from other contractors as well? But as Francis X White Builders would not provide us with any kind of breakdown, it felt like a rip off job. Unless you are willing to be very trusting, I wouldn't waste the month it would take to get a price.

Francis X. White Builders did a beautiful and terrific job. We are very pleased and happy with the work done. Everyone that visit us, including the insurance sales person, admire the craftsmanship in all details of the entire project. Francis White, owner of the company and the different teams that work for his company are very reliable, professional, honest, punctual, responsible, good nature and responsive to any questions or suggestions. We were very pleased with the time table for each section of the project till it was completed.

Fran's work is always high quality. He has done many projects for us over the years and he is our "go to" contractor for any job in our house. I highly recommend Fran and his team to perform any size residential job for you.

Fran White and his team at Francis Xavier Builder, Inc. were courteous, professional, clean and punctual. The renovation was completed in the time frame we discussed and remained within our budget. I could not be more pleased with the results! The quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship is superb! I would not hesitate to use them for future projects at my home and would highly recommend them to others looking for quality work from a dependable contractor. They made the whole renovation process easy and were a pleasure to work with!

It went very smoothly. Fran and his team were amazing. They were punctual, efficient, courteous, patient and helpful. They are very thorough and detailed-oriented and take pride in their work. It is why we will not hesitate to have Fran and his team back for any additional remodeling we may have.

Fran, his son, and the crew were fabulous. They were all talented, knowledgeable, prompt, and pleasant. Fran was quick to respond to our questions and concerns. He has a loyal and professional group of people working with him who were all quick to think outside of the box and come up with solutions. We have had many remodeling projects done over the years and this is the only one we knew, from the moment we met Fran, would turn out perfectly. If Fran says he will do it, it is done!

Update: they did come in with a quote but was priced too high for our budget. Fran and Joe did a good job trying to meet my budget.
