Description of Work: I have contracted with Francis X White Builders for numerous projects over the years throughout my entire home. Here are some of the examples of the work that has been performed: * Window Replacements - Pella replacement windows were installed in most rooms of our home as well as a custom Pella Window in the bay area of our kitchen * Family Room Remodeling - Removed paneling, installed sheetrock and new molding, painted walls and trim. Also installed new exterior door and screen door. * Custom Bookshelves with Built in Lighting - Built to specifications to accommodate new TV. Stained to match existing molding. * Custom Wainscoting - Installed throughout dining room and painted. * Roof and Siding Replacement - We had the misfortune of having a very large tree fall on our home once on New Year's Eve at about 5:00PM. We were in a panic over what to do as we suffered extensive damage and the following day was a holiday with bad weather predicted on the horizon. Not knowing where else to turn, I called Fran White that evening and told him what happened and asked him if there was anything he could do to help. He put a crew on standby and as soon as the tree was removed off the house they patched every damaged area of the roof, siding, and windows so the interior of our home was protected from the elements. I will be eternally grateful to Fran and his team for assisting us so quickly under such trying circumstances. As soon as the insurance adjuster was out to our home, the entire back of our home was re-sided and the roof was replaced as well.

Description of Work: Fran and his team remodeled our kitchen, soup to nuts. They did a very professional job with significant attention to detail. they delivered on all they promised and more.

Description of Work: Replaced all the windows (20 windows including a 12 foot picture window), 3 exterior doors and the vinyl siding / gutters. Also, replaced sunroom roof and breezeway ceiling.

Description of Work: Francis X White Builders designed, built and oversaw the construction of a 20X20 addition to our home, the installation of stamped concrete patio (16 X20) as well as completely remodeling our kitchen (14 X20). The kitchen upgrades included new cabinets, lighting, box window, granite counter tops and flooring, , Additionally, he installed three windows (two on the first floor and one on the second floor) and upgraded two closets.

During this installation it was discovered that the previous contractor had not installed our windows and siding properly, resulting in water damage to the interior walls and headers of our sunroom. Description of Work: Fran White came to our house and helped us draw up plans for a deck behind the house. He listened carefully to what we wanted and offered helpful suggestions including information on enlarging the deck to make it more usable and enjoyable. We were given the name of a local supplier where we could choose just the boards we wanted. Fran handled all of the paperwork involved in getting permission from the township and making sure everything was up to code. He and his men removed the old deck and dug down to put in a better foundation and supports for the decking. They also carefully removed shrubs and plants around the old deck, dug new flower beds so that I could replant everything. They finished the new deck complete with railings and cleaned up all traces of their work including hauling away the dumpster.

They are clean and meticulous! If you want a job done right the first time, you should hire them. Description of Work: As our home is very old, the soffits were rotted at the roof line, and needed to be replaced. This actually was the second job that we had Fran White contract for - the year before we had a rotten laundry room roof replacement that ended up being almost a total gut of the laundry room because of the age and unforseen damage. Because of the age of our house, there is nothing that is "out of a box" as far as initial construction. Every aspect of every project that is undertaken on our house is unusual and needs careful thoughtfulness before proceeding as it ultimately affects another area of the house or construction. Attention to detail relating to this very important aspect of working with an older home is paramount to having a completed job be successful.

Description of Work: They refinished our basement and put in an elegant bar and television room and a game room. They did great work. He suggested putting in storage space and he designed some things that were absolutely perfect. I am so glad. He did not insist, but did encourage us to make the rooms big enough to make double doors for our patio furniture.

Description of Work: Fran and his crew did a great job refurbishing our foyer and replacing windows in the front of our house. The work consisted of replacing 12 windows in the front of the house as well as removing wallpaper, refinishing and painting the walls in our foyer. They also put up new woodwork detail around several doorways and installed detail woodwork on the stairs.

Description of Work: Mr. White installed a deck for us on the back of our home and did an excellent job, this was several years ago and we continue to give him good references because of the superior quality and craftsmanship in his and his teams work. This was about $35,000 and then at the end of last year Mr. White installed a new entry door in our home at a cost of about $5000 but again the work exceeded expectations. I would recommend Mr. White to anyone in the area in need of professional carpentry work.
