I saw Wall King on my street today and it reminded me about our experience. They came out gave us an estimate, we agreed on price. We called several times to set up start date they never returned phone calls. A very unprofessional way to handle a business. If they changed their mind about price or did not want the job they should have told us.

Bill and team were great! We had an enormous retaining wall removed in two days. His quote was very reasonable. His team were hardworking and professional. I had quotes from 5 different companies and so glad I went with Wall King. I would highly recommend!

I was happy with the job they did. They were done within a day. They were also able to reuse my existing brick for the new wall.

I needed a couple long stone walls that were falling apart replaced. It was very easy dealing with Bill during the quote process and all the guys were very nice and got the job done in two days. It looks great and I wouldn't hesitate to have them back for more work in the future.

Bill and his crew did an excellent job. They built a stone wall on a hillside in our backyard, added river rock and reset edging on a french drain, and cleared additional storm drains on the hillside. Their work was very professional, and really made a difference blocking the stormwater that was flooding our yard and house. Bill is one of the most honest and helpful contractors we've ever hired, and we highly recommend him!

It was kinda like phone tag, which really wasn't all their fault because I had a death in the family, so it was hard trying to get back in touch with them. But I was able to get the information to them. They're from another part of town and they're I guess pretty busy, but I was able to get the information to them, and based on the information that I got to them, they told me how much it would cost based on the height of the wall and everything like that. I got an estimate in the past and I saw what they needed to do to get the estimate, so they gave me the information on like the colors and how much it would be to get the wall replaced. I'm going to get one more estimate. I'm still trying to determine if that was cheaper. I sent them pictures and dimensions and everything like that, and he got back to me quickly.

Bill came in $3000 less than the subcontractor my contractor used. He got the work done faster than seemed possible and allowed my construction schedule to proceed as plan. He even seeded the area after tearing out the bushes.Great price, great service and the wall is beautiful.

We received estimates from several contractors and decided to go with Wall King for several reasons. First, they responded most professionally in a timely manner, with a well outlined and comprehensive contract proposal. Second, they own the equipment and have a steady team of workers so didn’t have to subcontract. Third, they applied for and secured all the permits for the construction. Most importantly, they worked with us patiently to come up with best solutions for our yard. Bill and his crew were fantastic. They showed up on time every day and worked in a planned and organized way to complete the work in the exact time frame as they estimated. Bill was supervising the crew regularly and kept us updated on the progress. He always had good suggestions so our interaction with him was great. The crew was well organized and polite. Bob is a master of the heavy machinery; he did things we thought would not be possible. The work was completed on time, the top of the wall finished with topsoil, the area cleaned, and new grass seeded with no extra charge as we are Angie’s List members. We were amazed how quickly the grass grew and there were no tracks of the construction left. The concrete paver patio, the Versa-Lok retaining wall, and the stone stairs turned out beautiful, exactly as shown in the brochure, except for the main caps on the wall but Bill immediately replaced them with beautiful sand stone caps. We are extremely happy with Wall King. We’ll keep them in mind for any future construction work and give them our highest recommendation.

Wall King did an excellent job. Calls were returned promptly, and they started the project on the target date and finished the following day. The new wall looks great, and there were no remnants of the old left behind. The price was significantly less than other estimates. No money was collected until the job was complete and the owner got confirmation that I was satisfied. Would definitely use them again. The owner also took the time to explain the different types of walls and pros/cons of each so i could make an informed decision.

He did a really good job of adding on a wall. He did a really nice job. It was expensive but we had a lot done. It really looks nice. They did a really nice job and we are really pleased with it. The Wall King crew was prompt, efficient and courteous. They did all of the work as agreed, showed up on time and didn't seek any payment until the job was done. They did a great job on a difficult Mt. Lebanon backyard hillside, with all work done by hand.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Wall King. We had already gotten a few estimates from other companies before Rick came out to see us. Rick offered a creative and detailed approach to our yard renovation that was really appealing, so we decided to go with it. After he sent over a proposal, the company owner (Bill) came to pay us a visit as well. Bill was super helpful and approachable throughout the entire process. We got top notch customer service and they were very flexible and understanding when we made a few changes before and during the renovation. The crew that came to do the work was professional, clean, and polite. They finished the job in two days and left our property clean and looking way better than it had before. Bill was at the job site both days to go over everything with us. It was great to be able to communicate directly with the owner of the company on such a regular basis. The price was right for the massive amount of work we had done. We absolutely love our new backyard and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

It looks great. He was quite busy at the time but he was still able to come out to check my situation. He removed the old railroad ties and put up the nice timber wall. I would recommend him highly.

When Bill came to look at the wall and provide an estimate, he pointed out issues with the existing wall that caused it to fail and made suggestions for a different layout that would be more durable and fit in better with the front of the property. Bill was able to start our work earlier than his estimated schedule. He has an excellent crew and an efficient work approach that resulted in a quality job with all work completed in 2 days, including clean-up. All aspects of the job were handled professionally and with attention to detail. Overall, we are very pleased with their work and would recommend them to others.

First , i have been in sales and sales management for over 30 years so I am very hard to please and I expect people to follow through on their commitments I have never written a recommendation before this and I have written a few complaints. After I called Wall King and left a message I was contacted the same day by Rick and we set an appointment to get an estimate. He showed up on time, gave me a brochure, asked what I wanted , offered references,surveyed the job and gave me some helpful suggestions. He took measurements and said I would have a quote in writing in 2 days. The quote came 2 days later and it was significantly less then the quotes I had from 2 other landscapers. I called him asked a few questions and we set an appointment for Bill, the owner, to come to my house and finalize the details. Bill showed up at the preset time-he was professional and friendly. He went over the job in detail to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting , what they would do, how long it would take and the exact price. I was pleased with my experience at this point so we set a date for the work to begin. Bill and his crew showed up at 8AM and immediately went to work. Throughout the day I went out and asked the crew some questions. They were more than happy to answer all my questions-they were courteous and knowledgeable. Near the end of the day Bill had me walk the job with him to make sure I was satisfied with the work. Finally at the end of the day the crew did a great job cleaning up the site. The wall is beautiful!! The work is top quality, everything was done on time, Bill and his crew are professional and friendly and they followed through on every commitment they made. I highly recommend Wall King for any retaining wall work you need.

Rick came out to provide an estimate of the project in mid March. The estimate came in well below what we had been quoted by other companies and they would be using excavation equipment which would allow them to complete the project in just a few days rather than a few weeks. We decided in mid-April to go with Wall King. Upon letting Rick know we were ready to move forward, Bill Fenk contacted us to come out and review the project to make sure everything was in order. Bill came out quickly and confirmed we would be scheduled within 3 weeks. Bill stuck to this timeline and called us the first week of May to let us know he would be coming the following Wednesday. We aren't sure what time the crew got here in the morning but by the time I came home at about 8:30am, they were already here and working. They saved some of the hostas that were in the danger zone of the area they had to dig back to which we really appreciated. We had spoken with them about putting in forms so that we can install a fence later on down the line and while they were working on the project, Bill called my wife to check on spacing for these as well as double checked with me to make sure everything was in order and they were going to pick up the correct number of forms. Once they finished the wall, they leveled our yard which was quite hilly after sliding towards the previous failing wall, and reseeded the entire area that was disrupted during the project. They expected the project to take one long day or 2 days, but they were finished completely by about 4pm the first day. The finished product looks great and we already have grass coming up. Rick and Bill were very professional and communicated effectively throughout the entire process. We definitely appreciate their hard work and it is clear that their primary function as a business is retaining walls. We would definitely recommend them to others and would use them again in the future.

Bill was very responsive and professional, and we were very happy with the work done. Bill gave us two estimates--one for the option where they would re-use our existing bricks, and one for the (more expensive) option where they would use new bricks. We never felt pressured to go for the more expensive option, and we appreciated the honesty. The crew was punctual and finished the whole thing in a single day.
