Description of Work: Tom did a large variety of electrical work at our house. He graciously helped us evaluate our electrical needs for several areas of our home, including the main level, basement, garage and outdoor areas. Tom was so easy and very pleasant to work with. We actually called him for an initial consult and presented him with a 2 page list of different electrical things we wanted upgraded or added in our home. With each and every project he demonstrated his excellent knowledge and exceptional skills consistently. He scheduled his work in a very organized, efficient manner and completed each project with precision and positive results. I was so very impressed that he even explained things to my son and myself as he was working. Tom totally upgraded our complete main service panel in our basement, along with our subpanel in the garage. He also added a whole house surge protector for us upon our request. We had several GFCI outlets installed throughout the inside and outside of our home. Tom replaced some CAT 5E cable and RJ 45 jacks for us. He gave us a few new light switches and he also did a wonderful job installing a brand new brass chandelier in our dining room. In addition to all this work, he installed several newer lighting fixtures throughout our finished basement and garage. Everything that Tom did is continuing to function perfectly. We were extremely pleased and delighted with the results of his work. I even called him again for a few extra electrical projects that we thought of and he responded so nice and prompt. In summary, I sincerely feel very fortunate to have initially found Tom through Angie's list and to have had the honor of working with him. I would always most definitely recommend Tom to anyone in need of electrical work. I have told a few friends how exceptional his work is. I would always call Tom again if I need any future electrical jobs done. He is extremely reliable, professional and pleasant!

Description of Work: Replaced a bad breaker and checked what the cause of the breaker went bad. He also took a lamp that shorted and repaired at a very reasonable price. Will definitely use TME again.

+ 1 moreI called TME Electric Inc, left a message and Tom Perry called me back the same day. He came to my house that afternoon and looked at what I wanted done and quoted me a price. I purchased the lighting fixture and fan myself and called to set-up a date to have the work completed. When the fan box was opened there was obvious breakage. Tom return the fan and brought back a new one to install. The installation of the lighting fixture went much better. Tom also discovered a wiring issue in my dining area and correct it. Yes, I will use AME Electric again.
Description of Work: Tom Perry installed a lighting fixture in the dining area of my condo and a ceiling/light fan in my master bedrroom.

+ -1 moreWe have an old house with old wiring and some strange combinations of circuit breaker lines and old fuse box lines in the kitchen. We were having a problem with no electricity in half our kitchen and TME was able to find the problem and also decided to remove the old fuse boxes from the kitchen so the electric service is now completely controlled by the circuit breaker. Excellent job and he took the extra step to make the electric service in the kitchen safer and more convenient (he could have just gotten by with replacing a blown fuse) and all for a very reasonable price! I will definitely contact TME for any of my electrical needs in the future.

+ -1 moreWe were very frustrated with not hearing back from other electrical contractors and we had a dead line due for installing a new Hot Tub. Got a hold of Tom on Monday or Tuesday and he scheduled us in for Friday around noon. When he stopped by for the estimate, he gave it right away; we did not have to wait for the estimate. The work was very professional and completed in a timely manor . I would use T.M.E. again, no hesitation.
Description of Work: Installed 220 line to Hot tub site and dropped 110 line to a outdoor lamp post.

+ 0 moreWe have a metal roof and they came with the new fan we really didn't want to have the roof repaired if something went wrong. So they were able to take the inner workings of the new fan and put them in the old fans shell. They changed out the electronics and the new top (that will not rust) was fitted on top. Tested and every thing is working great. The new fan moves more the twice the amount of air as the old one. All the work was done in a timely matter with no issues. Love the work. thank you

+ 0 moreI found Tom Perry on Angie's list and choose to call him because of the proximity to my home. He responded quickly and showed up on time to discuss my 'to-do' list. He listened well and made suggestions which were very helpful. We discussed my wish to put safety first in all the repairs and installations. Tom assured me that he was of the same mind, and that it is always a priority with him as well. He gave me an estimate on the spot, (the final cost was actually BELOW that number). Tom said he was available the following week but because of my schedule we put the work off another week. He called yesterday to confirm the appointment for this morning and arrived today on time, equipped with shoe covers and drop clothes, (Tom worked so neatly, cleaning up as he went, that they were hardly needed, although appreciated). He set to work and except for a couple of times when he consulted me about installation issues that were not anticipated, he went from one thing to the next quietly and efficiently, professionally. And much before I expected, he said the jobs were completed. He made out my bill, which was lower than the estimate, even considering the added equipment needed. I can recommend T. M. E. Electrical wholeheartedly. Dealing with Tom Perry is the way it OUGHT to be with every professional: efficient, no hassles, a QUALITY job for a decent price. I'm very pleased to have done business with him.

Description of Work: Electrical connection ripped from house when tree fell during Hurricane Sandy, although I still had power the line was dangling. Met-Ed re-attached to house but said I'd have to get an electrician to do the rest. Scouted Angie's List and came upon TME, a local electrician. I checked Angie's List reviews and also noted TME was also listed on the BBB. All business with TME was conducted via phone. Left message to call; called sooner after. Explained what I needed and gave address to check it out. Called back and said I'd need a new cable (old one was original to house 40+ yrs old) with a quote of $200. Said fine and it was done that date. TME left invoice at door for $200. I didn't call around for other quotes, but after talking to other people was told $200 was a good price.

+ -1 moreWe lost power in one bedroom. I called T.M.E and he came out 2 days later, on a Saturday. He was here roughly 1 1/2 hrs. He explained to me what he found, what he would do to fix it. I found him to be quite professional and the price was great! I am planning on having him out to take a look at all the electricity in the house, we are in the planning stages of remodling and I am quite pleased to have him back to do work. I would recommend T.M. E Electric to anyone needing an electrician.

The quality was also excellent. He usually tried to get here within a day. If there is a problem he will come out the same day. He usually comes early and that is fine with me. He is also very professional and I would use him in the future for my electrical repairs.
