BDL cut the holes in the ceiling for fans and lights larger than the size of the fans (all 3) and then said they were not responsible for drywall damage and get my general contractor to fix it. They did not hang the fans to manufacturers specs and the hangers were still in the box when he said they were installed to manufacturer's requirements. When I disputed the work, he was very difficult--threatened to take me to court, despite not completing tasks correctly. I paid for more than I received--then got another electrician, whose work is excellent and worth the price. Electrical is never inexpensive, but should be done well. Use them for small, quick one day jobs only.
Description of Work: They began very well, pulling new wire for our whole house renovation. They required 50% cash in advance and then work slowed to a crawl after the first few days.

We never got a chance to address any issues you brought up. We tried to come back and address your issues and you wouldn't let us back in the house. The ceilings in the bathrooms were all but completely tore up from previous contractors and we were trying to install exhaust fans that were intended to go up when there is no drywall so we had to cut the holes bigger to make them fit. Most of the time the General contractor would take care of that but since YOU wanted to be the General contractor, you had to pay the other carpenter to fix them. Then you wanted to charge me to replace the ENTIRE ceiling so you didn't have to pay for it. All you wanted was as much as you could get without paying for it. Thus the reason you had 3 different carpenters, floor guys, electricians and plumbers on this job before it was done. You were the worst client I have ever worked for and unable to be happy with anyone's work. I LOST money on your job because every time we showed up you were not ready for us to do anything. Work slowed to a crawl because you weren't around to answer questions and/or never answered the calls. We did our best to make you happy and it ended up impossible. Anyone who knows me and my work, knows this review is totally invalid. We work as quickly as possible, keep the job sites clean and are VERY detailed oriented. [Members name] told us she had to go out of town and she would leave me a deposit check (for well less than half) and her signed contract in the shed. When we showed up, she left the deposit but no signed contract. She was away for 2 weeks in which time we did MOST of the work we were required to do. Upon returning, she told us she was not happy with our work and did not want us back. We offered to try to fix anything she wanted and she would not let us back in the house. When I asked to be paid for the items we did, she refused and when I told her I'd take her to court, she asked if I had a signed contract. Checkmate, she got me. (She never left the signed contract in the shed with the deposit) She purposely planned this entire thing, so she didn't have to pay us. If any of you are reading this and thinking about working for Pam Hennigan, think again. It says something that she went through several of every type of contractor to finish her job. She is impossible to please and will not pay. STAY AWAY!!!!
