I wish someone had warned us against Cooper before we hired them. They are by far the most expensive contractor in our area. They are careless with their work and with protecting your home as they work. When things go wrong (as they did with every job they did for us), they will search for ways to avoid responsibility for their errors. You may choose them because they will always answer the phone where some local contractors may be harder to reach -- but once things go wrong with their work they will suddenly disappear.

They were very good. I'm not familiar with plumbers. On the price, I really have nothing to compare the price to, but I was okay with the price. It was excellent. I did have a question about my main shut off for my main water in the basement, and he showed me it.

They are fair, and they are efficient, always on time. They techs are very knowledgeable.

I used Cooper Mechanical for various plumbing and heating services from 2005 to 2012. I paid them at least $50,000 or more, possibly as much as $100,000. They sold to me and installed a shower fixture in my guest house that broke less than a year after installation. It leaked and caused $15,000 of damage to my house. I discussed this on several occasions with the president, Louis Cooper, but they refused to take any responsibility for the damage and insisted on me recovering what I could from my insurance company. This resulted in months of aggravation and higher premiums, as well as some unpaid deductible. As both the reseller and installer, they should have resolved the issue with the manufacturer since the part was still under warranty. There was also concern (from another plumbing contractor) that the part may have been installed improperly. I do not recommend any use Cooper Mechanical because they do not stand behind their product, honor warranties, and can be rude when questioned.

It went excellent, they are the best and I would highly recommend them.

The day after they installed the unit, we went to turn it on and nothing worked. Not the air, not the heat, not even the fan. We called and they came out and told it that they men who installed it from their company wired it the wrong way. And then it worked. A week later we had our ducts cleaned and found out from the duct company that there was a three inch gap in the main return duct work leading to the a/c unit that they just installed. They came out and spent an entire day taking the unit out and then rebuilding it so that it would fill the three inch gap. Then we started using the unit only to find out that there were many leaks around the unit's return sheet metal. They gave me a quote for an additional $600.00 to replace that portion of the duct work that did not leak before they started all of this work. Furthermore, I called the manager, Jeff, and he would not pick up the phone to speak with me. I then drove to their place of business, and while he saw me from his office, he would not take even a minute to come to speak with me. After talking about my experience to other people in the community, I have heard similar stories. Now I am forced to go to another vendor and pay for the mistakes that Cooper Mechanical made. Needless to say, I will never use them again and will convey this story to many in the local community. Thank you.

The experience was positive. I chose them over other companies because of the price and their professionalism. They offered a satisfaction guarantee. The other ones were a little more and a little less expensive. I plan to use them in the future.

We purchased a new home in September, and Cooper Mechanical did a lot of work for us in the weeks after we moved in -- everything from converting a dryer to propane to fixing sinks and toilets. The workers were always friendly and professional, and always got the job done right the first time. They were also ready with advice for any question I might have, and were very patient with their answers. They even gave me tips on how to save money on certain things that needed to be done. We were extremely happy with their service and will turn to them in the future.

It went very well. It was an expensive job, but we were very satisfied with Cooper's service. They hit all of their marks, and their workers were very professional and courteous.

We have no hesitation about recommending this company to others. They are prompt and reliable. We highly recommend them.

Easily the best price of three estimates. Salesman was knowledgeable, informative, and willing to work with me. Overall, very good.

Technician was unable to find the leak but recharged the system. Leaks can be difficult and expensive to find. Good documentation. Overall, a good job.

They installed the original system in my house so we stuck with them. They are both punctual and capable.

Their price was substantially lower and their proposal was substantially more detailed than others. So, we were very impressed by that. That's the reason we decided to go with them. The system has been running almost exactly the way they said it would run and I think that's pretty impressive too to calculate the running course of a new system based on a completely different old system.

Professional. Really take time to explain things to us

A design change in the midst of the project was not handled well by Cooper, leaving me with signficant drafts from air handling equipment installed in an unconditioned attic rather than in conditioned spaces that were originally specified. The quality of equipment they used was very mediocre, with no options for more energy efficient systems offered.
