They were professional and did a great job.

I received an estimate from Russell Roofing for new flat roof and to replace two pens with new singles. When they came out and when they were inspecting the roof I asked 2x if the wood would have to be replaced, and I was told probably not.. I wanted to make sure because that would have been an additional costs. I decided to go with them and gave them a 2,000.00 deposit on July 20. I wanted my roof done by August 18. With all the rain it did not happen which I could understand. I rescheduled again and I never got a phone call, or an e-mail, when they did not show. I then called and asked for my deposit back and I was told I owed more money because the material was ordered, AND i DID NOT EVEN HAVE A START DATE! I had no choice but to go forward. When the crew came out, they wanted more money because GUESS What all the wood had to be replaced on the roof. I was upset and called and asked to speak to the General Manager. I had to wait until Jack spoke to him first to give him the details. (HE DID NOT WANT ME TO SPEAK TO HIM FIRST) The crew finally came out and I must say did an excellent job. I ordered Granulated Torch down in white. I noticed that when the material was here it was not white. It was silver/black.. When I asked Jack, he first told me we can coat the roof. I ordered the roof that does not have to be coated. He called me back after 15 minutes and told me it was silver with white specks in it. It does not come in white. I think he though I was going to ask for a refund. I never did. I said no problem. I waited a few weeks later and had someone call and asked about the same roof and does it come in white. They acted like THEY wanted to purchase a new Roof. I hate when people think you are STUPID!. All they had to say was we ordered the wrong color. The roof was finished and the crew were great! they cleaned up and said call them if I have any problems. Not long after they left I must have missed a nail and had to replace my new tire, it could be patched. I was p*****. A Company is only Good or Great when a customer has a problem and the customer's problems are taken care of. When there are no problems, everything if Great!

The salesman, Tom, was very responsive and professional. I spoke to him in person twice and on the phone twice. He was just too expensive.

We called the office and got a friendly receptionist who scheduled our appointment within the next week. The man doing the estimate (either Ron or Rob, can't remember and don't have his card handy) came out on time and seemed to do a thorough job with the estimate, taking photos while he was on the roof and explaining the various problems and options. He said that the roof needed to be completely replaced, and quoted us a price of $13,000, which we couldn't afford at the time. He said he wasn't willing to give us an estimate for repair/patching because it might not fix the leak. We ended up going with another company that did offer to repair the roof, but we'd consider doing a full roof replacement with this company when the time comes because they seemed professional. Our only quibble: He said he would email us the photos of the roof, but I never got them.

They came out and looked at the job. They quoted us about $30000. Our experience with them was great. They were very professional and great. We didn’t have them do the work because we got somebody who was less expensive. However, the conference and the meeting that we had with Russell Roofing Company and the information that they gave us were all great. They were just more expensive. I would probably not use them in the future because they just do roofing and we have got the roof done. So, we don’t really need to use them.

Sales rep contacted me at 7:45 the night prior to the scheduled bid appointment and was hard to get off the phone even though I explained that it was a difficult time of the day in my household to have a conversation. He wanted to know how much time I would have in the morning to spend and I said 30 minutes. That apparently wasn't satisfactory to him. He showed up 10 minutes late the next morning nonetheless. The rep was extremely pushy and salesman-like. After spending over a half hour, he insisted that we meet again to discuss the bid in person and wanted to know if I would be ready to agree to hire them at that next meeting. He promised to e-mail me a confirmation of the next appointment. It never arrived so I called him six days later and he said that he was now very busy responding to calls from Hurricane Irene but he would e-mail me the bid by the end of the day. Again, nothing arrived so I called him two days later. He said all he had to do was hit send and he promised he would do that when he returned to the office. It has now been another six days since that last conversation and I have yet to receive the bid.

Salesperson, while a very nice person, insisted that both my wife and I be present whenever he came. He did a very good estimate (even went in the attic, took pictures and spent a lot of time looking things over). He once again insisted both my wife and I be present to review the estimate. When he presented the estimate he was very repetitive, stressing how they are "different" and don't have any "dope smoking installers" (apparently they do drug testing). He added in a few services we did not want (apparently a misunderstanding) such as attic insulation and new gutters. The price was very high, and even after removing the additional items it was still well over other estimates. Granted, he claimed they hand nailed the roofing and provided the best warranty. While I'm sure they do excellent work, I felt the price was to high and selected another company.

They were very professional and explained everything thoroughly. We were very happy with their services.

They brought a huge crew, worked VERY quickly, and finished the job in one day (it was supposed to take two days). We had to have them come back to fix a loose guy wire on our TV antenna, which they did the day after we called. They even remounted the satellite dish so accurately that it didn't need to be reaimed. They cleaned up everything they tore out, too. I'd give them an A-minus if I could for punctuality; they set a start date, didn't start, and I had to call the salesperson to find out what was up. In the end, this was a very minor concern, as they they started (and finished) the job just a few days later, and the job was not time-critical. They are MUCH closer to an "A" than a "B" in this category, so I gave them the "A". I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

They were great. It’s a pretty big company. The roof hasn’t leaked. They were prompt and professional. The main thing is that they fixed the leaky roof that had been a problem for many years. They found the right solution that worked. I got away from tar and rubber roofs. Other roofers were happy to sell them because they are nice and expensive. It hasn’t leaked a drop. I think I paid a fair price. They were very punctual. I did have one small issue where they had to tarp over the roof and when it poured, it went in to my new roof. They had to come back out and fix them. I had some great issues with them fixing up to the quality that I wanted. They eventually took care of it. I think roofers should make sure that they have the roof covered when it is in the process. They have to come back and inspect it. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Called as one of three roofers to do an estimate. Prior to calling, I checked the website. Noted that they included Montgomery County. When I called, the owner(?) stated that he did not "go out that far" (Souderton, PA). Maybe they should change the website to lower Montgomery County.

They were very professional. They were very quick in their job. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Got 3 estimates. Decided on Russell and then gave them a date and deposit. They showed up on the date and time agreed and completed the job.

professional from the start with the initial visit to completion - very knowledgeable estimator, office staff and mechanics - very curteous and openly grateful for our work - did a daily, thorough clean up - respectful of our property as well as our neighbor's properties - any difference in price from other companies was justified with their employee drug screening, full insurances, safety practices and final product - I couldn't be more pleased and satisfied

Called them to organize someone to come out and do an estimate. The earliest their estimator could do was more than 12 calendar days out... that told me three things.. 1. They are busy which is a good sign...(high demand is a good sign) 2. If they are backed up on estimates they are likely to be even more backed up on scheduling any work you do with them... 3. If you want to get something done more quickly.. then this isn't the company to help you.. The lady on the phone was very polite and professional... she did offer the "emergency" crew to come and tarp the roof for a fee which would be debited from any work they do. I decided to go with other companies as I don't want to wait this long.

There was extensive damage due to water and termites. It was well worth it, I haven't had a leak since. It was very through, they cleaned up well. They were very trustworthy. I would recommend them to anyone.

During the sales process Eric was very diligent and the proposal was very thorough. After the sale Eric did not provide satisfactory customer service. The job was tentatively scheduled for about 3 weeks out. We were not in any hurry so timing was not that important. After 3 weeks I called for a status and he said he would get right back to me and then I heard nothing. I called him back after about 10 days and he said he would check into it and call back, and I did not get a call back. I called the customer service manager to ask what was going on and he said he would check into it and call back the next day - I did not hear from him and I called him back two days later. At that point I told them I was going to cancel the contract. They offered a discount and I agreed to continue due to the hassle factor. They then set the install date for the following week. Unfortunately a couple of months later during a rain we had leaks that resulted in water dripping into the sunroom. Paul from Russell was very diligent and came out to the house to review the issue. He realized they did not install screens in the drains and believed the drains got clogged as a result. He came back then next day and installed the screens. Another month went by and then a big rain resulted in significant leaking into the sunroom and water damage. I contacted Russell and Paul came out. After further review he noticed the window near the leaking area has wood damage and the stone wall has issues with the pointing that is resulting in moisture getting into the window and wall and thus draining down into the sunroom. While it seems obvious now that this is an issue I would have thought they would catch this during the initial inspection. I would have corrected this prior to any roof work. I realize with old houses there can be multiple issues and it takes some detective work to find the root cause. Russell has been responsive after the work was completed and the owner has followed up to make sure I am satisfied. The roof work itself is good quality and the solution does appear to be a good one for our flat roofs.

My experience with this was bad. I can’t say anything nice. They are the ones who put the structure on and did not complete all the work. They came back eight or nine times and they never got it right. I would not recommend them to anybody. They did this work seven, eight years ago and six months later I had all types of problem. They came back and tried to make repairs. They always came when you called them. They did not give me what I paid for. They left portions of work unfinished, strapping materials that they were supposed to have were on the roof never done. I just had a bad experience with them. May be other people like them. I don’t think they did the work correctly. They used different people to do different things. They had one guy to do the flashing; another guy was the rubber roof guy. The flashing on the sides of the wall was not done right. They were supposed to put leaded material into seal the flashing that was never done. They were supposed to put combs on top of my stacks that were never done. They were supposed to put a copper strip on top of the roof like an edge to flashing that was not done. I just had a terrible experience with them. I complained to BBC two three times. But I paid him and probably that was the mistake. I should not have paid him before. Punctuality was good. They were here on time. I will never use them again.

We had a leak so got three estimates for repair/replacement of the roof. Russell was the most expensive, but also the most professional. The sales person made an appointment to sit down with us, showed us pictures of our roof, and explained why he thought the particular solution he was suggesting was the way to go. Unlike the other two roofers, he did not recommend just slapping more shingles on top. Since our roof has a very small slope and shingles are not watertight, he suggested going with another material. But he wasn't pushy about any of it. The fact that he actually had a view about the matter and was willing to explain it to us gave us confidence that Russell was the best choice, despite the cost. A few weeks later, they came to do the work (weather delayed it a bit). The crew was very professional. Perhaps because they had so many guys on the crew, the job went very quickly, in about 1 and half days. Here's a small detail that I think says something about how they work: When they ripped off the old roof, they had to throw it down to the ground. Of course they hauled off all the pieces, but there was also a lot of debris on and in the snow in the surrounding area. They actually shoveled up the snow and took it away too!

Russell Roofing has the motto "If It's Russell It's Right" and they stand behind that in every way. At the time we were having windows installed in our entire house by Pella of Jenkintown. I asked Mr. John Lang's advice knowing he was a reputable and knowledgeable person if he knew of a reliable roofing company and he immediately referred us to Russell Roofing saying "I never heard a complaint about them." From the moment Russell Roofing started the job til its completion it was a pleasure and a relief to know we were in such good hands. From the crew to the foreman to the supervisor, Mr. Paul Henkel we can't say enough. The workers themselves take a great deal of pride in their work; what they do, how they do it and how they communicate. Everything, every aspect of the job done is very professional and the company itself takes pride in its name, its reputation and customer satisfaction. You can rely on them even after the job is completed to follow-up. It is a pleasure and relief to know they stand behind their work all the way; they are there for you if you need them and follow thru which all says to me this is a highly respectable, competent and reputable company, one you can depend upon to do an outstanding job. Without any hesitation I can say "if you have Russell you have the best".

I had trouble getting the estimate because the guy had a class to go to the following week. Then he lost my number. When I got the estimate it was more like one and half the other estimates I received. He was knowledgable, very nice guy. He spent a lot of time with me. It was upsetting that it took so long. It was much more detailed estimate than the others I saw.

They were friendly and professional.

They did a good job. I recommend them highly and they take a lot of pride in their work. We know others who have used them.

Russell is professional and they have good products and warranties. The service thoughout was exceptional as well. They were not the least expensive but they were very fair.
