The overall experience was excellent, plain and simple, except for one aspect of the materials which I was not informed about of time, and that is the glue fumes used on the roof - the fumes were so strong that I wake up in the middle of the night sick up ahead acher and to sleep at my parents house- The workers were excellent. I just would have liked a heads up about these fumes- I felt badly that all of my cats have had to endure this toxicity. Perhaps with notice, I could have arranged alternate living space for them during the job. Thank you.

All work was done within a reasonable time and to a high standard. Russell always sends professional workmen who are courteous, professional and thorough. You won't get the lowest bid from them but you will get quality work every time.

It took a few tries to figure out why we had leaking in the bedroom but eventually the problem was resolved

Things have always gone well on all the jobs Russell has done for me. This spring the start of a job was delayed because of bad weather on other jobs. However, once they arrived, the job was finished promptly.

Ron Hall came out to identify the problem (I had already marked where the water was dribbling in during the rain). He noted that while my shingles were still in very good condition the nailing had not been done according to industry standards. He left me with a folder that detailed nail placement. My roof was installed in 2000 so this sort of information would not have been available to me in the early days of Google. He identified a few more places that were iffy as far as the nails and recommended one preventative measure and and another area that required upgrading. He showed me pictures of each area and was thorough in explaining what needed to be done and why. The work was done in the timeframe Ron had specified. It took about two hours. Brad and Josh were on time and professional and Brad was kind enough to help me move two humongous houseplants in from the patio which I very much appreciated. He told me that there had been a hole in the shingle where the leak was. This is the second time I have hired Russell and I will again.

Russell Roofing's project manager, Dan Simpson, gave an excellent detailed description of what was neccessary to redo our roof and answered all our questions once we reviewed the packet of information. Russell Roofing's representative, Bill Kulp, kept us continually informed of how the work was progressing. He was able to address all our questions and promptly addressed any concerns that we had. The workmen were always punctual and worked even on days that were intolerably hot. They worked continually until the whole project was completed. We were very happy with their work. We highly recommend Russell Roofing.

Work needed to be done for our pending house sale. Project Mgr came out end of June, quoted $500, said they would be out the following week. I said the work needed to be done no later than the end of July. The PM called back a few days later, said his Production people would not do the work for the agreed upon amount but would for an additional $250 and it would be done before the end of July. I agreed. At that point, we had an agreed upon contract with an accurate scope of work. No one showed up the first 3 weeks in July. I called the Monday of the last week and talked with a scheduling clerk. She advised that they would be out Monday of the first week in August. An initial crew came out and said they could not do the work for $750. I spoke with the Project Manager, he said they would need $1,800 to do the work. I said I needed the work done as promised and would try to work with them as I was getting desperate. I asked if there was some way to at least meet in the middle. He called back, said he found a mistake in his calculations and that they could do the work for $1,127 (conveniently midway). I asked him to go back and see if we could agree on the midway point between his new calculations and the agreed-upon contract amount. He said he did and they would not budge. Caught in a bind, I agreed. He said they would be out the first week of August. No one showed the first week of August. I left a message on Friday that if someone was not out Monday the second week of August, I was going to call the President of Russell Roofing on Monday morning to try and resolve the issue. They finally showed up on Tuesday, August 9. The workers that did the work were courteous and did good work. I believe they did a very good job. I do believe Russell Roofing has problems with their customer service, project estimating and coordination between their project management and production supervision. Had I not initiated the work so far in advance of the close date, I would have been screwed. I have heard over the years that Russell Roofing does good work but is very expensive. Based on my first experience with them, I believe they are good for high-end big projects where timing and cost are not that critical. If you have a small project (<$3,000) and looking to have it done quickly and cost effectively, I would look elsewhere.

We have used Russell roofing in the past 2 years for a new roof and parch pillars. We all very well pleased with me results of that job and of that of the recent gutter work.

I was very pleased with them. The whole job cost about $11,000 because in addition to the new roof, they insulated my attic for me while they were putting on the roof.

After many weather delays, skylights were installed. Installation went well but I would have liked better communication from the company/salesman as to a time estimate for installation. I received a call on a Friday for installation Monday morning. Luckily, I was able to secure the time off from work with such short notice. I signed the contract and gave my downpayment in April 15, 2016 and installation took place June 27, 2016.

Russell Roofing was fantastic to work with. Three years ago I went with another contractor (the cheapest option) for replacing my flat roof, and it's been leaking ever since, despite the contractor's best efforts, he just wasn't able to fix it. I had three companies out to look at it, and all recommended complete removal and replacement. Russell Roofing was not the cheapest, but this time I wanted to be sure the job was done right. The project manager Vince Cirino, was thoroughly professional and knowledgeable. The work actually started a week before they promised and was completed in one and a half days. Tim Kraft, the foreman, and Paul, the crew chief were also complete professionals, answering all my questions, keeping me informed, and handling any concerns promptly. They did a beautiful job installing a new EPDM roof and new skylight. The night after they finished, we got an absolute deluge and I had no leaks. I'm very happy that the nightmare I had with my previous contractor is over and am confident Russell will keep my house dry for many years to come. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From the initial estimate right through the end of the job, everyone I had contact with was a pleasure to work with and inspired complete confidence.
