Description of Work: Tried to get work done, but had to contact them several time to get the proposal. Proposal was very long and not very clear. The Tech that came out refused to go on the roof to inspect. Winter set in and that was the end of that.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate. I am not sure of the exact date. The gentlemen came out to give me a quote. He could not inspect the roof because it was raining. He went up in the attic to inspect roof from that area. He said he would come back when it stopped raining. I guess it never stopped. I never heard from Russell Roofing again. I guess they did not need or want to do business with me.

Description of Work: While we did not hire Russell Roofing to do work on our house after some hurricane damage, I appreciated the thorough assessment of the damage. We received an extremely detailed and fair estimate. The company we went with we had used in the past and was comfortable with but if we had not already worked with them I would have hired Russell in a second. I will definitely consider them in the future!

Description of Work: Everyone we interacted with at Russell roofing was wonderful. They are very professional, respectful of our property, and kept us informed on what was going on. They are the best contractor we ever hired to date, we liked their workmanship so much, we hired them to do our windows next. We will always be customers of Russell roofing.

Description of Work: I reached out to Russell Roofing for an estimate and found the following to be true. Ron was a total knowledgeable professional. His knowledge to me was beyond his years. He was punctual and explained every detail of what was needed for the problems areas he was there to evaluate. For anyone looking for credibility, honesty and knowledge wrapped into one, I would suggest giving them a call.

Description of Work: Based on the Angie list feedback I called Russell for an estimate on replacement skylights. The service person was very nice, made recommendations and gave me a verbal price. However, he would not provide a written estimate. When I pressed him, he promised to send an e-mail with his estimate by Friday (estimate was on Tuesday). I never received the estimate. By Tuesday of the following week I have still not received the estimate. The funny thing is that I would have given him the job once I had something in writing. I even called them about 2 weeks later to remind them abd STIll never heard back. Now I'll be calling someone else to do the job. Amazing. He must have a aweful lot of business and does not need more.

Description of Work: I asked for an estimate to replace gutters which had been damaged severely by an ice storm. I had also asked for a roof replacement estimate at the same time because we knew we would probably tackle the roof in a year or two. The person who came out was super friendly and knowledgeable. When it came to actually providing the work, it never happened. What we eventually figured out was that Russell Roofing probably did not really want our job because we were not looking for a roof replacement right away- we were looking for new gutters at the moment. In other words, we weren't going to spend thousands of dollars until a year later so they really could care less about our needs. I called several times nearly begging for them to show up and fix the gutters and they kept telling me that they were waiting for PSE & G to call them back. Something about not letting their workers get anywhere near power lines before they do their work, etc. Meanwhile, we had called PSE & G ourselves and they had told us that Russell had never been in touch with them. We actually started to have interior damage waiting for Russell which prompted us to hire a different company altogether. Very disappointed in this company. Would never use them in the future. As a matter of fact, hired a different roofing company for our roof a year later.

Description of Work: They provided an estimate which included work which I questioned. I never got a response. My estimate for gutter replacement was for over $6000, the alternate was for about half that which led me to ask why all the brackets had to be replaced as well as the gutters. I never got an answer. In addition, my daughter never received an estimate which they promised for a small job. Perhaps, if the job is big enough they would respond.

Description of Work: I called and left 2 messages and never received a return call. I called a third time and spoke to a woman who seemed a bit combative to me. She asked a lot of questions, took my contact information and I still did not get a return call. I find it odd that they are rated so well on this list.

Description of Work: Since my roof is 12 years old, I wasn't sure whether it needed to be repaired or replaced. The estimator came out within 5 days of my phone call. He climbed onto the roof, inspected it, and told me it was in good shape and did not need any work. I was impressed by his honesty and will certainly call this company in a few years to look at the roof again.
