The person who made the repairs was prompt, professional and did excellent work. I would definitely hire the firm again.

I'm beyond belief thrilled. The front porch has completely transformed the entrance to our home. There was such care in dealing with a very tricky project. The end result is just gorgeous. I needed this done within a very tight timeframe; Mario made this happen. He not only met me at a stone quarry to look at stone, but he made sure that there were extra men on the job in order to get it done quickly. His estimate was fairly priced and very thoughtfully put together. Mike was our foreman and he was very patient in explaining why he was doing certain things in taking in to account how water flows and how to fix our sloping front porch. Also, he put a lot of thought into the arrangement of the stones to make it really a piece of art. This man is an artisan I imagine there are a lot of employees at Jamison, but I can't recommend Mario and Mike enough. I also want to say, it is expensive to do stone and cement work. This is reality. It is labor intensive work. So, if you are going to do this....you need to make sure that you have a great company. This is not the time to save a few dollars. Mario was very clear that this should only be done when the weather is right. To do it when it is too cold or wet could eventually be a big problem. Every contractor should be this good! .

Jamison Basement Waterproofing crew arrived a few minutes early and began working right away. ?They sealed off the area so the rest of the basement, as well as the upstairs would not be impacted while they jack-hammered the basement cement floor. ?Two hours into the job, I went to see how they were progressing and to take a few photographs. ?All members of the crew were polite, and answered all my questions. ?I did not want to get in their way, or disturb their workflow by taking photographs, but they were nice enough to stop working for a few minutes and allow me to snap a few pictures. ?They told me when they were breaking for lunch, and the salesperson stopped by to see how the job was progressing and to ask me if I had any questions or concerns. ?The job was completed in one day. ?The crew cleaned up so thoroughly that I could not tell anyone had been there! ?And so far, so good. ?Lots of snow melt and yesterday we had a lot of rain, and not a drop of water in our basement!

The estimator seemed very professional, though I was disappointed that he was ready to quote on the chimney repairs without going on the roof to look closely at them, though another estimator did the same, but a third climbed up. He assured me however that the cost for repair or replacement of the crown was the same, so no need to go up. Price for the work seemed reasonable, about in line with another and much lower than a third. They appear to be busy because the work had to be delayed for ~6 weeks into the future. However, they were able to find a crew available on a weekend that could complete the job sooner than otherwise. The two masons who did the work were very good and professional overall, and didn't miss any spots in the patch-pointing of a very large brick wall. I later went on the shingle roof to inspect the chimney work and it looked to be correctly and neatly done. They kept the job site pretty clean, though they did splatter some brick mortar on my lawn, and when they ground out the chimney crown cement from the large chimney, the chips and dust landed all over my deck, which I had to clean later.

The workers showed up on time and were very professional and nice. Communication by phone was prompt and efficient. There was an issue with payment (bought the Angie's List coupon and then my husband paid again at the time of cleaning by mistake) and they noticed it and fixed the issue within hours. We need some additional work on the chimney so are getting other quotes, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Requested a quote to have my chimney pointed and some additional work done to the stucco sides of my house. The representative was on time, very knowledgeable and helpful. Received the quote and was satisfied that the pricing was competitive. I will be signing the contract and have them do the work. Work will be completed when weather and schedule permits

I purchased a chimney sweeping and camera inspection through Angies list since we just bought a house and were recommended to get an inspection by our home inspector. Within a short amount of time I was contacted by the company to set up an appointment for the service. The lady I spoke with on the phone was kind and professional while we set up a time and day. The guys who showed up to perform the service were on time and very professional. Also important is that they were very clean and left no mess while doing the chimney sweeping. After the sweeping came the inspection. There was no cap on our chimney and water had gotten in and rusted the flue damper so we expected there to be more water damage inside, however upon inspection things looked to be in good shape which was a relief. We got a quote on repairs for the damper which were reasonable and based on a great first experience we have scheduled those repairs with Jamison. We had a pleasant experience from start to finish and will definitely be working with Jamison in the future.

The provider arrived on time, was very professional. performed the work, cleaned up after themselves. Could not ask for anything more.

Contacted Jamison to get estimate for above mentioned work. We were in a time crunch to get the foundation work completed before we were scheduled to have a new front porch and steps installed. We had contacted other masonry contractors who either were not interested in doing the work because it was such a small job or they told us they would send us an estimate and we never heard from them again. Jim Mooney came out immediately to assess the work that needed to be done. We had an estimate from Deb Mooney in less than two days.The price seemed a little high but in fairness, we couldn't get anyone else to provide us with one so we have nothing to compare it to. Because of their positive reviews, Jim & Deb's responsiveness and their understanding of our time crunch, we were willing to take a chance on them. They adjusted their schedules to fit us in earlier than we expected. The workman showed up as promised. They were polite,hardworking, knowledgeable and highly skilled at what they do. We were very pleased from start to finish and would recommend them.

We would not work with this company again.

This is my second time using Jamison Home Services. Approximately 5 years ago I used them for the chimney, it had a lot of cracks. That quote had two options -- one to re-do a part of it and the other, less expensive option, to seal the cracks and use a special elastopolymer?? on the entire chimney. I took the cheaper option knowing I would eventually need to do more repairs. That came sooner than I thought. I don't blame Jamison at all. We previously used a coal burning stove -- it burns hotter than wood and it took it's toll on the chimney. This past summer the stucco started falling off the chimney and it appeared as though the top was expanding. Kyle came out and confirmed the top would need to come down. He was nice and punctual. They gave me a quote for the work, it seemed reasonable. I wasn't able to get other contractors to come out and quote, nice eh? I signed the paperwork and they started 2 weeks later. It looks great, nicely done. They smoothed the outside finish instead of having that choppy stucco from the 80's. Overall, very pleased. The only issue we had was clean-up. We have very dark siding and the white finish used on the chimney didn't come off with the initial cleaning. My husband called Kyle and he was very nice about it. They had to come out two times to get it off the siding, it was really stubborn. Again, Kyle was really nice about it and came out to see for himself what the problem was and got it taken care of.

Our 'A' rating of Jamison Basement Waterproofing is not NOT because the job went smoothly, but because it didn't. Through no fault of theirs, we experienced problems with the dehumidiifier (manufacturer replaced it promptly). There were problems with our wiring, which Jamison fixed at no cost. On top of that, our carbon monoxide detector went off once, resulting in the fire department arriving in the middle of the installation! At every point, this contractor responded to the problems promptly and professionally. Kudos to David, Ed and the whole crew. Everyone at Jamison we dealt with was courteous, professional and well trained. On top of that the price was extremely competitive. Having a clean dry basement is wonderful. As we have some allergy problems it has made a noticeable difference to our health as well. Doing a good job when things move smoothly is one thing. However, if you want a basement waterproofing contractor who works well when the going gets rough, we strongly recommend Jamison. Dave and Jen

What a great company! They scheduled quickly, and arrived when promised. The two gentlemen were personable and efficient. They found a dead bird in my chimney that had to be there for at least 12 plus years! They used a video camera to inspect and clean the fireplace and chimney. It was like a colonoscopy for my chimney. They were dog friendly too :) Thanks! We will be using them for our yearly inspections/cleanings. Will definitely refer friends and family to them in the future!

They worked quickly and efficiently. They showed us evidence of how the flues were deteriorating and suggested we put in a liner. They said we should do the furnace liner and just continue not to use the fireplace until we were ready. There was no pressure. We later got a professional bid for the liner for the furnace flue and will be proceeding with that soon. Everything was cleaned up and they were out in a few hours.

When I called to schedule the service I asked if the coupon included cleaning the ash pit and I was told yes by the receptionist. However the service man said it wasn't included and he didn't do it. I called back in to inquire about the service being completed and was told someone would call me back. It's 4 days later and I haven't received a call yet. Poor service delivery and poor follow up.

This was my first time using Angie's List and I have to say it was definitely a great one! Punctual, professional, and it looks great! You wouldn't even know they were here today because the area looks more tidy now than it did prior to their work! Definitely will use again...and again..

Did an excellent job. They found some unexpected problems, which made job take longer and cost a bit more, but I'm glad they did it.

It went very well. Other companies who came out to evaluate the chimney speculated as to the condition but there was no certainty they were correct. Jamison gave me a factual evaluation.

They didn't have to come; they notified me over mail that I would first have to obtain a drawing from my engineer on the proposed changes and then get back to them. We will get back to Jamison Home Services in the future.

Jamison was professional and competent. They did a good job for a fair price and were punctual.
