Good, they were very reasonable!

I had an overall excellent experience with this company. The estimator scheduled an appointment with me that fit into my schedule very well and was within only a few days from when I first called. My problem was leaking basement windows, so once I committed to the job, the company tried to fit me into their work schedule as soon as possible so I would not incur more damage from water. This was difficult for them to do since they had other jobs on the books but at least they were willing to try. They eventually were able to schedule me about 3 weeks down the road from the time of getting an estimate to the day when the work was done which was somewhat quicker than first anticipated and they allowed me to the pick the exact day that worked best for my job commitments. Two men came to my house to perform the actual installation and were there most of the day. They did an excellent job and cleaned up the area meticulously when they were finished. They attached my dryer vent to one of the glass block windows and showed me how it was attached. They were polite and worked steadily all day without any breaks. I would definitely recommend this company to someone if asked.

They were clean, punctual, and did the work as described. The price was competitive.

It went very well. I found this company via Craigslist and responded to an offer they had on line. They were able to schedule the sweep within a matter of days and the technician showed up when promised. There was virtually no mess and the technician was very patient with my sons, who had a LOT of questions. The work was completed very quickly and he pointed out a few areas of my chimney that may need attention in the next few years, but nothing to worry about now.

Mario and his assistant Jamie were great. I contacted them in the winter to get a jump on things. Mario came out and looked at my job and soon there was an estimate in the mail. I had two other estimates and his was the best. I was concerned about matching the new pointing to my existing 55 year old mortar. Jamie came out twice until I was satisfied with the color. Finally the weather cooperated and they did the work. They were prompt, neat and addressed my concerns. The new pointing blends in well with the existing old pointing and should get even better with time. I would definitely reccommend Jamison Masonry to a friend.

The estimate was very professional but the cost was too high.

Mario Galli supervised the work and he was great. He was very responsive to our comments and always stood behind his work. He made the whole process easier. All our concerns were addressed by him timely.

I was very unhappy with the workmanship of the guy that did it. I talked with 2 of the owners and they said they would redo it. I didn't want the original guy to do the work. They said that he would be supervised. Mario did the supervision but it was just a so so job. It's not perfect. I had altered the agreement because they wanted a deposit down and balance at the finish. I put a small deposit down and stated that I would hold back ten percent until 60 days after the work was done. I finally called Mario to come and finish the work and he showed up on 12/31/08. I could have probably gotten a cheaper price, but this is not something that I wanted a fly by night company doing. I would not hire them again for basement waterproofing. I had hired them 2 previous times for masonry work and I would hire them again for that type of work.

He was punctual, efficient, responsive and he educated me on the situation with the foundation and my house. I really appreciated his honesty. He also explained to me that my chimney needed a reliner. That was the reason for the wetness on the walls inside my house. I would definitely recommend him to others.

I am so pleased with the service provided by Mario and Diane and if I ever need a mason for future repairs, he will be the first person I call.

They did a nice job. We did have to go back and forth a couple times because I don't think they clearly understood what I was asking them to do; specifically about the stucco around our windows because we felt that we were getting moisture inside the house. Overall, they did a nice job.

He came out and looked at it, said the damage was not too bad. He said there was some kind of substance they could spray for about $1,000 to coat the chimney. We decided not to do it at the time, but they were very nice and professional. They came on time and the young man was very courteous; he really seemed to know a lot about chimneys. I would definitely use them in the future.

It went very well. I called in a panic because the smell in my house was terrible by the time I figured out it was coming from the chimney. The chimney person was at my house within 30 minutes and almost immediately found a dead squirrel in the chimney. He removed the animal and cleaned the chimney. Everything was done within an hour of my initial phone call. The service person was polite, helpful and professional. I will call them again for service.

We got several estimates for the work. Jamison was on the high side, but not the highest. The wall is about 7 feet high at the tallest point and bordered the driveway, so we felt we need someone with the experience and reputation to do the job. Looking at their portfolio of commercial work, we felt Jamison was the right company for the job. We actually called them out initially to look at a small crack in the brickwork of the house. Although a small job, Mario came out, alleviated my wife's fear that there was a larger issue and proposed an easy, low-cost solution. This prompted us to ask them to bid on the larger job. The crew was very professional, went to their work and did a great job. They cleaned and re-used the existing stones, address drainage issues behind the wall, and left everything clean and clear. At one point Mario had the crew redo the downspout drain that runs through the wall unprompted by us because he did not like the way it looked. The job was done in about 6 days, about the time the estimated. There were only two small issues, which may have been the result of miscommunication more than anything else. In the estimate, I specifically asked that they address the drainage problems behind the wall. When the wall was taken down it was found that the gutter downspout, which ran behind the wall, was a French drain. This needed to be replaced with a solid pipe. I was charged about $500 extra for this. I had thought that would be a part of 'addressing the drainage behind the wall', but apparently not. I can see their point. The other issue was cleaning the mortar on the portion of the wall that was not being replaced, so that there wouldn't be such a stark contrast between the old and new mortar. Both my wife and I remember being told that they would do that, but when we brought it up at the end of the job we were told that would cost extra, so we decided to pass. We now know that if it is not on the work order specifically, there should be no expectation that it will be done. This applies to all work orders, not just Jamison.

It was a great experience from start to finish. I was referred to this company by a friend of mine who had used their service in his basement. John came out as promised to take a look at my basement as we routinely get water during heavy rains, and since I am planning to finish the space, I don't want to take any chances. He examined the space and took measurements and recommended a "full perimeter system" which feeds any water into a sump pump which then gets pumped out. He also recommended a battery-powered backup in the event of a power failure. Once I had all the information I was looking for, I agreed to have him come back. He was able to schedule the job within about a week and a half. John arrived as promised and he and Al (his helper) took three days to jackhammer out a space around the basement and then install the system and put in more concrete. They did a nice job, and were very careful to wrap up the few items I was storing down there. When they were done, John spent some time with me to go over the operation of the sump pump and the battery backup unit.

They were very good to work with. They answered my phone calls. They gave me an estimate and stuck to it. They are reasonably priced and prompt. They cleaned up their mess when they were done. They are very satisfactory.

They responded on time and finished the project in a timely fashion.

We were not completely satisfied with the quality of work they did, as the mortar is now cracking and we will have to get them back out and fix it ASAP. One of their crew members made a mistake and used tan flagstones to replace a couple instead of the gray color. The foreman had to send another guy out to change this, but did it free of charge although now it is cracking.

They were the most reasonable of the 4 companies I got estimates from. The did a great job and also came back immediately to fix a very small area that had been overlooked.

It went great! Mario was really helpful in trying to find the right brick to match the rest of our house. The work looks great and the foreman was so nice and courteous. They did a great job of cleaning up and walking me through everything they did at the end of the job. I would highly recommend Jamison. Very professional and extremely helpful.

Jamison's was very professional. Mario showed up on time, described in exact detail the work Jamison's would perform, and followed up two days later with a written estimate which was $6000 more than the next closest bid. From this experience, I believe Jamison's is geared more towards commercial work and less towards smaller residential jobs. Their price was completely off - as I received four bids for the job.

They went above and beyond and did a great job. I believe they will stand behind there work. They are very courteous and professional.
