People who read this review might wonder how I could give an "F" to a company that has so many A's in their review list. My experience with Jamison leaves a "F" as the only grade that can be justified. I set aside an afternoon for this company to come out to my home to look over my stone chimney that needs to be re-pointed and to prepare an estimate for me to do the work. I even mentioned that I would be interested in a separate estimate for doing reconstruction work on our front stone walkway. It was my intention to go with Jamison to do this work seeing that they have so many good reviews. As time went by and no estimate was received from Jamison I sent Jamison two inquiries through their web site submit form to ask about where the estimate was. My inquiries were both ignored. I do not like having my time wasted and nobody likes to be ignored. I do not know why Jamison did not ever get back to me. Lack of response, ignoring a potential new customer, is certainly unprofessional and just not good business practice. I contacted another contractor and they responded very fast to my request for an estimate and I have signed with my alternate choice of contractor to do our chimney re-pointing job.

Mario arrived on time. Looked at the work I needed done. Explained all phases of the job, and how it would best be done. He also told me what I did not need to be done or what could wait for a later time. I was pleased with him and the estimate given. He told me the approximate time they would be able to commence with the work which would be October because of their current workload. I was okay with this time period.

It was very good. The final product was very good and the work they did was very good.

I selected Jamison based on price, which turned out to be a mistake. I misunderstood/misinterpreted the services to be performed. I blame this on not meeting face-to-face with the estimator/salesman - this is a lesson learned the hard way that I will never repeat. Their proposal indicated that they would apply one coat of an 'elastomeric, acrylic polymer coating' which turned out to be a fancy euphemism for 'paint'. In retrospect, other proposals that I received for the complete services that I desired (lath/re-stucco) were cheaper and I regret not selecting a different contractor. There were several positive aspects of the services that Jamison performed. They patched the larger cracks and deteriorating sections of my stucco with mortar. They did a very nice job rebuilding the chimneys. They responded to our last minute request to change the color. However, for us, the positives were outweighed by the negatives. The paint workmanship was shoddy - many missed sections/incomplete coverage. They charged an extra $100 to caulk around our back door. The workers were also not the most professional.

My house is close to 100 years old, and facade and steps are Pennsylvania Bluestone. The harsh winters cracked the cement and the steops were beginning to fall apart. They would not make it through another winter. Jamison came out and gave an estimate - and the final cost was EXACTLY what was on the estimate. It took about a month to get an appointment after I sent in the deposit. On the day we were scheduled, the two gentlemen showed up on time, they were very professional, and great craftsmen. They did a wonderful job putting the steps back together.

Jamison Home Services came to my rescue when the moving company broke a slate step just days before selling the property to a new owner. I called the office and within 15 minutes I was speaking to a mason, Mario Galli. Mario visited the property on the same day, provided a quote, which included options for repair or replacement and performed the work within 48 hours. Mario was professional, offered sound advice and kept his promises including completing the work on time and within budget. The repair looks great, I would recommend ther services and I fully intend to call Jamison Home Services for all masonry work at my next home.

One side will be 4 inches and the other with be 6 inches so it will be level. They had a few ideas on how to do it. They had a lot of nice ideas when they came this morning. They will return for the forms tomorrow. They worked hard and stayed on the job. They were real nice. They kept in touch with me and told me when they would be going to get the stone and that they would be back. I didn't want the piece of concrete too big or too small. They took care of everything for me and they changed things up based on what I was showing them. They stayed on the job and kept working. They did a real good job on being careful with my lawn. They gave me a discount. The generator company also gave me a price to do the work but they were really high. They told me exactly when they would schedule me and boom, they were here right on time. They were very nice. Everything was nice and neat.

The estimator was professional, did not try and scare me into a big job, price was reasonable and the work was thorough and efficient.

They seemed professional but their appraisal was a little high. The estimate was something like $10000. They seemed very professional and they were responsive but their cost estimate was higher than who I wound up going with. I probably will not use them again because of their price.

They were very courteous and always arrived on time. They did exactly what they were supposed to and answered all of my questions.

I contacted Jamison back to January and the job was done this summer - the long winter as well as their schedule didn't help to get that done earlier but in the meantime Mario was really helpful and responsive via email and over the phone to answer which made a big difference. The job was done like 2 weeks ago and I have nothing to complain about. Very professional. I will recommend them without any hesitation.

Stucco repair to entire exterior of large chimney. The initial inquiry to the office to schedule an estimate went well. Robin and Deb were very courteous and professional. Other, very highly recommended service providers on this site (with highest number of A+ reviews and POHs), when contacted to possible give them this business, were despondent, annoyed at being called and rude. That is, if they decided to answer the phone, instead of screening via voice mail. Since this type of repair was a first, there was an expectation the estimator would be forthcoming with all the details to the work process, materials used and impact or consideration of the flashing repair or replacement, for instance. Not everyone will know which questions to ask, in order to understand the entire scope of the work. The scope and impact should be explained without provocation. With that said, the estimator left himself openly available to any questions. Jamison's workmanship and quality of the final product is very good. The two gentlemen that performed the work were professional and quick. Clean-up of the work area was good. Time will tell of true quality of materials, but initial inspection shows that the stucco should last for many years. Now, although the first day's work was cancelled one hour prior to the scheduled appointment due to alleged illness, which was a concern, the work completed in two days. Jamison will be contacted for future work on a couple other pending repair jobs to be done. They will be the first on the list to contact. Thank you for the great work and overall good experience.

Pretty well - all done very well. Only small issue was paint color not matching perfectly but that was fixed to our satisfaction.

We ultimately decided to DIY for some minor repair work, but they were very professional and we will keep them in mind for future opportunities.

The leak seems to be fixed, and the stucco looks good. I had some trouble getting them out, but once I expressed concern about the estimates they gave me on times, they were prompt. The guy who came out found a window underneath existing stucco, and that seems to have caused some of the problem I was having. They dealt with that at no extra charge. The guy who did the stucco did find an area that needed work above that the estimator had missed. Overall, I'd say they did a good job and were professional.

He was very nice I appreciate him coming out and giving me an estimate but his range of price started at 350 but could go up to as high as 850 which could not be determined until he started the work. I couldn't agree to that.

They were very good. I haven't used the chimney as yet but they were very professional. They did an excellent job, they were on time an they did what they were suppose to do. They were a delight to have and very helpful . I spent about $3000.

What I most remember is how professional and punctual the company was. They did what they said they would do, when they said, and while I don't recall the price I know that it seemed reasonable.

We had leaks in our basement. Every heavy rain we would have to mop up and it would be a mess. We talked to other services that were going to charge approx. $10K to fix. We heard about Jamison. Dave was prompt, gave us an estimate, did the job, and we have had no leaking since! Awesome!!

There was some confusion with my estimate/contract. The employee that did the estimate was no longer with the company. Because of the weather, I had to wait out the winter before the services could be done. There was a 3 month gap between the time I sent the deposit in and when the work was done. I think it would have worked out better if someone would have checked out the job before scheduling it to start. There were promises made by the old employee that weren't kept. Lesson Learned: Read your contract. All in all, the work was done professionally and I got what I paid for; nothing less and nothing more.

Mario fit me in on a Saturday since this wasn't a huge job. They arrived on time, finished on time, and did exactly what they promised. YAY!

I have used a masonry company and that was Jamison Home Services LLC. I have used them again after February and I brought them back out. I was happy with them the second time. I thought they were communicative and punctual. They were up front about the fact that they were pretty busy at the time. They came out on a Tuesday and the guy gave me an expectation that they had a lot of jobs so they probably wouldn't have the estimate until the following week. They were exactly on with that, they had it the next Monday. If he had not said that I probably would have expecting a report sooner. I have a couple of other companies that I am considering coming out but I am considering using them to start.
