First they had to prop up my deck off the kitchen because branches were busting out of the brick wall up top - then open up the stone wall and remove the tree - then build the wall back up. It was a 3 step process, first prop up the deck and remove the railing to get the branches out and prop up the garage. Next, open the wall and remove the tree and all of the branches and check my outside drain to make sure that tree roots did not damage my pipes. Last, they had to rebuild the stone wall and the brick wall off the kitchen.. It took 3 1/2 days, they started on Wednesday and finished on Saturday.

The overall quality, professionalism and responsiveness was good. However, when speaking with them, I was under the impression that my entire fireplace would be done and repaired. When finished, probably only 25% of what I thought would be done was completed. They did do the major and most noticeable cracks, however, as stated above many were left untouched. Also, Jamison was double and almost triple the other estimates that I received. I decided to go with Jamison because I thought they were doing the entire fireplace and the extra expense would be worth it.

We had previously been told that our chimney (1950's era house) was no longer safe. We had hoped to have our chimney re-lined but had been turned down by another company. I appreciated the care with which Michael from Jamison did the evaluation and estimate. The camera revealed the extent of the chimney liner damage and - apparently the design of our chimney made the liner replacement virtually impossible to do without rebuilding the chimney. So we went with the woodstove insert. The Jamison employees were very prompt and careful with the work. The insert was a bit smaller than our fireplace opening so they had a plate fabricated to match the woodstove and returned the following week to complete the work. They also completed some flue cleaning and pipe replacement which had been recommended by an inspector. The process was very clean. There was no pressure to sell us the woodstove insert brand. We were assured they would insert whatever brand we wished to use. Unfortunately, the weather had been too warm to use the woodstove since the installment but it appears to work well. Note: We also did work with the masonry division of Jamison. They repaired our front walk and repaired some of the pointing on our house. Equally well done.

I called Jamison to get an estimate for a vertical crack that I found in my finished basement. Scheduling was easy and in less than a week's time, Dave was at my house to provide me with an estimate. He looked at the crack and few other things around the basement and advised me that there is no need to do anything right now and asked me to watch it overtime and then look to get it fixed if it deteriorates. He even gave me details about what and how I can keep an eye on it. I haven't had anyone give me this advise in the past - people would, in fact, come up with more stuff that needs to be "fixed". I was very happy with his professionalism and would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to my friends and family!

Received detailed quote that outlined all the work to be completed & warranties. Document clearly detailed what we needed to do to prepare for project. Extensive full week project. Went as contractor had communicated prior to job start Full & active crew. Team was considerate and professional. Foreman was organized and kept us informed of progress and issues. Had one issue for follow up and foreman returned to remediate fully. Overall happy with the quality of the work completed. Looks like a new basement.

Dave at Jamison was very responsive to our questions and took time to explain things to us when were gathering quotes for waterproofing a crawlspace under our house. The guys who performed the work were careful and took steps to keep our house clean while they did it. We had a minor issue with the equipment but they worked with us to return and address it.

They were very good. They were able to complete the work in two days; they removed the brick out in one day and placed the cinder blocks and then stuccoed the next day. They were very nice, professional, and nicely stacked all the brick in a pile because we wanted to keep it them. They were extremely communicative! They had great communication and did everything they said they would.

Mike and Kevin were just great. It was a 2 day job and they left everything very neat after the first day. On the second day the weather was wet and they used tarps to protect my carpet and then cleaned up with their shop vac. I live in a condo association and am required to have my chimney inspected every year. I will definitely be using Jamison from now on. One of my neighbors was also pleased with their work and I have recommended them to another neighbor.

During winter of 2014, damper froze shut on multiple occasions. Attempted to contact Jamison multiple times during the winter. Each contact, I was told "someone will get back to you." I'm still waiting. Recently received a letter from Jamison reminding me that an annual inspection was required to keep the manufacturer's warranty in effect. Called Jamison, repeated complaints about the damper and inquired who the manufacturer was so that I could get a qualified installer/inspector to do the inspection. Was hung up on.

It went great. We were very pleased with the options Jamison proposed since this cut the cost of the project by half. We do not use our fireplace to burn wood and we only use the gas logs occasionally, so we did not need our chimney to be rebuilt to the same height. It's never fun to spend a lot of money fixing poor quality workmanship that was done two decades ago by the builder. That being said, we really did get a very good value from Jamison's and are confident that the issues with our chimney are resolved for good. It took a few extra days to get the chimney cap installed because of a shipping issue, but we were OK with this because Jamison's communicated with us and let us know what was going on. Typically roofers fix the flashing around the chimney, but since this would have required us to get a roofer Jamison was willing to include this as part of the overall job. Not only were the workers professional, but the office staff was equally so.

We have used Jamison twice before on chimney work and on siding work, and we have been very pleased with them. We are pleased with them again. hey were prompt in responding to our first contact-I got a reply from their office later the same day and was scheduled for an estimate visit that took place two days later. Mario came and did the estimate when he said he would and he gave me a basic estimate and explained how because of the age of the house (1790) there might be a need to come inside the house and remove part of a wall to get to the chimney if the path for the liner made that necessary. So we had a best case and worst case scenario, which we appreciated going into the project. Fortunately they were able to install the chimney without taking out any of the wall, but I knew what the price would have been had that been necessary. We had an agreement about how the wall would would have been repaired and the interior rooms cleaned up as well.The job was started when they said it would start, the two people worked well and professionally, and they completed the work in one day. They cleaned up the work area and left it spotless. We are quite pleased, and should we have more work to be done that they can do, they will be called again. We have been very pleased with this company.

The estimator arrived on time and was very professional. Seemed to quickly grasp the issue and recommend reasonable course of action. I received a quote in a timely fashion, and it included a separate quote for a chimney liner, at my request. The quote for the flashing/sealant work was much higher than I expected but I felt that Jamison was well represented by the estimator and felt they would take their time and do a great job with attention to detail. Other quotes I had gotten were lower but I didn't feel the same level professionalism and customer service was present in those cases and that was a concern. As for the quote on the liner, it was about 50% more than a quote I had obtained from a company I use regularly for chimney cleaning, so I did not have Jamison do the liner work. On the day scheduled for the flashing/sealant work, a crew of 2 guys showed up about 830am. They were very polite and professional. They went to work right away and at 1230pm (4 hours later!) knocked on the door and handed me the invoice for $1875. They explained they had cleaned flashing and re-caulked etc. and applied the sealant and said we should not have any leakage problems any more. Although I had thought initially that the quote for the flashing/sealant work was high, it was even more surprising it was $1875 for a total of 8 man hours of work and materials. They seemed very professional and trustworthy and so I hope this resolves the problem. The work was performed on Saturday and I was handed an invoice that time. On Tuesday morning I received an email asking for me to call the office and provide a credit card to make payment so they can close out the job for the tax year. While I had full intentions of remitting payment within the week, I found this a little pushy asking for immediate payment via credit card only 3 days after the work was completed. In summary, I give them highest marks for professionalism, punctuality, and responsiveness...in these areas they definitely beat out many other companies I have dealt with. I believe they did a good job (but can't really verify ...time and weather will tell) but I think the pricing is way out of line compared to the actual amount of labor time on the job. For this reason I probably would not use them again.

We had very heavy run back in April 2014 and water managed to enter into our basement through a small crack in our basement wall. We contacted Jamison for an estimate in May. Jim recommended correcting the crack on the inside using hydrophobic crack injection. He also suggested installing a window well and to regrade the soil away from our home. We chose to have both the crack injection and the window well installed to prevent any future water from entering. The crew did a great job and kept the area clean after they finished their work. After having this work completed for a few months, we have not noticed any instance of water entering our basement. Our only issue was that we were told they were scheduled out about 6 weeks when we sent our down payment in mid June. We did not hear anything from them until we contact them at the end of August asking when the work would be done. Aside from that, the communication during the job was good. Overall, Jamison did a great job and we are very satisfied with the work done.

Extremely positive experience from the get-go. Mike was polite, articulate, and accommodating at every turn, and he worked with great purpose throughout the visit. He gave me a no-bones assessment of the risk levels associated with the levels of creosote present in the chimney (intermediate but not awful) and explained the different options for addressing it. Even more helpful, and downright cool frankly, was observing the chimney's interior through his camera probe, which he sent all the way to the top of the house. He pointed out several hairline cracks in the chimney and stressed the importance of repairing those before tackling other problems. My house, unfortunately, has an unusual flue system and dimensions, which did not deter Mike, but prompted him to propose any solution steps with caution. Mike's assistant, Adam, was new to Jamison at the time of the visit and played more of a supporting role in the activities above. He was extremely polite and responded to Mike's requests with dispatch. Although they are well-established in my area (Flourtown/Oreland), I had been unfamiliar with Jamison prior to this appointment. My positive experience, however, has quickly elevated them to "first-call" status whenever I have an issue that lies within their purview. Tomorrow they are coming out to look at my sump pump!

Jamison was the only stucco repair company to respond promptly and came out quickly to look at the prospective work, got an email the next day or so with a detailed proposal. Once we agreed on the price, getting the correct contract was a chore requiring numerous follow ups via email and phone. Sales manager explained this was a season of high volume and that the office side was backed up, it was corrected quickly once I brought it to his attention but administrative part still took over 2 weeks but work was promptly scheduled to rectify. Work was performed over a ~3 day period, giving the stucco enough time to properly cure before finish coat was put on. It's been a cold and leafy fall and they took the extra time and effort to blow leaves around work areas which was well appreciated. My outdoor outlets gave out but they were prepared with their own generator. They were quit thorough in checking for other areas of stucco that needed attention while they were on site and fixed; that's the right attitude of "we're already on site, let's do the job correctly, and value add to the customer where we can". Overall, the work crew was courteous, understanding, and well prepared for contingencies like the leaves and power issues. If the office side didn't require as many follow ups, this would've been a perfect A experience.

The work crew were always on time and always polite. They cleaned up every day and kept me apprised as to the progress of the work. Considering they started just before winter set in they performed timely efficient work. In this day and age it is hard to find contractors this good and professional. Dennis was the foremen and did a great job and you couldn't ask for a nicer guy to work on your home. He made pertinent suggestions to fully make the job look better than expected.

Because of the complexity of the job, there were a few hiccups along the way. However, throughout the process, we always felt extremely fortunate that we had found Jamison Home Services to do this job. Frank Jamison, the owner, and Mario Galli, one of the top managers, are men of exceptional integrity, something that one sees all too rarely these days. Dennis and Kevin two of their top residential foremen, were a delight to work with. Stucco is a messy business but these men and all the helpers they brought with them were, to a man, polite, and considerate, and did their very best to minimize the mess and the inconvenience that go along with a job like this.

Completed job at agreed upon price on schedule and in a professional manner. Price was very competitive.

Everything went really well. The gentleman provided me with a few options, he responded in a couple of days, and he did a good job in a timely manner.

Jim Moody was punctual and professional with the proposal, addressing all my concerns. It took nearly 10 weeks for the work to get started, but good contractors are usually very busy. Once the work got underway, things went smoothly. Mike (both Mikes!) was polite and they cleaned up pretty thoroughly after each day. I'm pleased with the quality of the work and the flagstones and brick they chose for the landing. They also did a very good job of matching new stucco with existing stucco, both in color and texture.

After conducting an inspection of the chimney flue, Jamison determined that the flue tiles were beginning to deteriorate and recommended that the chimney be relined. Brett and the staff at Jamison were very professional in helping us schedule this job before the cold weather came. They also were very patient in responding to the many questions we had about the installation. On the installation day, Ron and his assistant did an awesome job! Ron was able to get the flue pipe down the chimney and connect it to the furnace and water heater without widening the hole in the basement. The job was completed in 3 hours! Ron was very professional and again very patient in answering questions. We have used Jamison multiple times to correct problems with our chimneys and they have always done a top-notched job for us. This installation was no exception. They know their stuff; they are the real deal. We will continue to use them in the future.
