Would not come out to transfer over last August from prior owner because they had to update system already installed and today alarm armed itself ( no one touched it ) and I called to have disconnected. Was hung up on 3 times and finally the 4th time same guy who hung up once told me “nothing we can do” and hung up again.

Purchased a home with an existing alarm system that had been installed and monitored by Advent. Prior owner thought they were ok. Made an appt. for representative to come out and give us a quote on updating/continuing the service. He went through the whole house with us. Gave a general ball park as to what price might be (we were switching from a landline set-up) and noted that there might be some available discounts, etc. We indicated that we needed the quote in a timely manner in order to have the work done by the deadline required to get the certification to our home ins. carrier to maintain the discount our premium is based on. The rep indicated he would have it to us by last Wenesday (the 25th), possibly the next day (Tues.- his visit was on Monday). We haven't heard from him since and so went with a slightly pricier, but more responsive provider (used this company at our prior home). Responsiveness from an alarm company is important to us.

They're very reasonable and very good. I would use them again in the future.

Unlike any TV commercial, when our alarm has gone off by accident it takes them about 5 minutes to call and check. That's five minutes your house could be undergoing a robbery or fire while they do... what? I'm sorry, did I catch you eating lunch? Oh, is this a bad time for me to be robbed? Should I try later? Tack that 5 minutes to the 5-10 it takes for city responders and we are history, toast or any other colorful expression you can think of. So, my alarm does not make me feel that safe. I guess you get what you pay for - 150 every six months.

They came out and had to replace a panel and re-set everything. I did not have to pay anything for all that. I will use them again.

ADVENT WAS VERY TIMELY WHEN I NEEDED THEM TO COME AND CHECK OUT WHAT WAS TRIGGERING THE ALARMS. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THE BATTERIES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THEY DID SOME TESTS TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS WORKING PROPERLY.

WE WOULD RECOMMEND ADVENT TO ANYONE. THE SYSTEM THEY RECOMMENDED HAS WORKED FLAWLESSLY FOR SEVEN YEARS NOW. THEIR CENTRAL MONITORING STATION HAS ALWAYS BEEN TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAVE NEVER MADE A BILLING ERROR EITHER. A+++++++ RATED COMPANY IN OUR OPINION.
