2 weeks passed and I received no call. I called and asked where my estimate was. The guy who answered the phone said he would call me back with that information. 2 more weeks, still no call. I called again and was told by the service tech the work on my mower was all done and ready for pick up and that I owed $389. I only paid $269 for the mower when I bought it new. I asked who authorized it and he said, "no one, we just assumed we were supposed to do it." I asked why I wasn't called with an estimate. He said he didn't know and would have the manager call me with that answer. 10 days later the a**'t manager called and asked when I was picking up my mower. I told him what had happened and he said he didn't know anything about that, just that I signed a form authorizing the work and that I was obligated to pay. I told him that when I spoke to the service tech 10 days before (who never asked the manager to call me, btw), he said there was no authorization, that they just assumed they were to do the work. I asked for a copy of such paperwork that was signed, but the a**'t manager said he couldn't find it (because there never was one-I never signed anything). He told me he would call me back. 30 days later the a**'t manager called me again asking when I was going to come get it. I told him again that I never authorized work for $389 on a $269 mower. I asked him if we could work on a compromise. I would come get it if he would discount the cost a bit by either giving me the parts at cost or omit the labor. He said no, he wouldn't do that and that I had to come get the mower and pay for it at the cost that was due. I told him "you just bought yourself a mower," and hung up. I never went back, never picked up the mower and I will never do business with them again. This was a horrible situation over a push mower that was only going in for a new blade and a tune up. The a**'t manager was rude, inconsiderate and bordered on down right nasty.

Purchased a zero-turn mower in April, 2013. Several weeks later the steering broke down. After notifying Eckroth they picked up the mower and dropped off another mower I could use until mine was fixed. About a month later Eckroth called to drop off the repaired mower and pick up the loaner mower, no charge. Used the mower the rest of the year with no problems.
