When he came out two years ago to do the repair, he got it working again and was very nice. He gave us a two year warranty. The problem came back, so I called him back to have him check it out. He became a disagreeable person. He has been nasty. He told me he could not get a hold of the manufacturer, and did not know what to do to fix my refrigerator. Anytime we tried to talk to him, he would fly off the handle. He would tell me what day he would arrive, and I would ask him what time he would arrive. He would answer in an angry way that he was not lying and would show up. He tells me same day service, and doesn't show up for three days.
Description of Work: I hired this company to fix my refrigerator.

This was perhaps the worst service experience we've ever had. On three separate days during the week, Mr. Pat "Davis" told my wife that he would come to the house at a particular time, but then did not come or call at the time indicated. So on each of those days when he did not come or call, my wife called him back. On each of those days Mr. Davis said he would still make it that day, although later in the afternoon. And on each of those days, my wife finally gave up around 5 pm, and proceeded to leave the house, notifying Mr. Davis that she was doing so. Finally, my wife called to see if she could be the ?first appointment? at the first of the next week. Mr. Davis had explained his tardiness by noting that he was a ?one-man-shop,? with many commitments. Mr. Davis said that his first appointment would be on Tuesday, but declined to say that he would come first thing on Tuesday. He said, however, that he definitely would come to the house sometime on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. He said he would call to let my wife know when he would plan to come. However, he never called or came on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. On Friday morning, my wife called him back, asking if he could come out that day. He said he would come, and arrived around 3 pm on Friday, July 15. After he arrived, he became angry and rude when we asked about the many days my wife had waited for him. I use the term Mr. Pat "Davis" because while he said he was the owner of Davis Refrigeration, I discovered later that his website lists no names of any persons and no physical address. It is possible that his last name is not "Davis." The website lists scores of locations, but they turn out to be phone numbers, mostly repeated over and over again. Our recommendation to friends on Angies List: do not use Davis Refrigeration.
Description of Work: The owner and repair person came in February to examine our ice maker in our SubZero refrigerator. He told us the entire unit needed replacing, which we agreed to do. The cost was $995.34. We discovered a few weeks later that the ice maker had stopped working again. We called him back. He finally returned after repeated attempts to get him to come (please see below). We decided not to pay the $350 he said was needed to get the ice maker working again.

Your reputation and customer contact is an important to your business. I don't know if I caught them on a bad day or what, but I have not been so insulted over the phone in many, many years. His attitude and the way he talked down to me came across very unprofessional. I asked him a question and he gave me a very vague answer and was just concerned about when I wanted my appointment.
Description of Work: I called him about a refrigerator repair.

Mr. Davis was able to pinpoint the problem over the phone the first time we contacted him. He was very busy and it took an extra phone call to get him to come to the house (our fridge was still operational, so it wasn't an emergency). Once he came, he fixed the problem quickly and was very professional.
Description of Work: Pat Davis fixed a clogged pipe on our Amana refrigerator that was causing the refrigerator to leak.

Arrived on time, promptly found problem with sub-zero refrigerator. Repaired problems quickly and efficiently. Very professional.
