+ -1 moreHad a water pipe burst in the basement and Paul was able to come out within an hour to take a look and determine what the cause of the issue was. Explained the process and what he would need to do thoroughly. Start to finish took maybe an hour and the cost was better than expected. Very professional and would hire again.

+ -1 moreMaguire tech handled an emergency service call for an elderly man without heat. Tech repaired the system enough to get heat for a few days, while other parts were ordered. Scheduled final service call and provided an economical repair. Excellent experience.

+ -1 morePaul was fantastic. He took the time to teach me about the old boiler and gave me some maintenance tips that I was not already aware of. We spoke about different types of heating units and about my intentions to upgrade the thermostat. After approximately one half hour, I was about to get my checkbook when Paul told me there was no charge. I could not have been more pleased and will definitely be a return customer.
Description of Work: I recently purchased a home with an old steam boiler. The boiler ran fine for two weeks and then stopped working. A co-worker recommended Paul Maguire. I was a bit weary because of the existing review on Angie's List, but I called him and left a message at 830am. He called me back by 9am and was at my house before 10am. Paul looked over the system and determined that my problem was a combination of a faulty part and user-error. He gave me an estimate on replacing the part and told me to contact him when/if I decide to replace it.

+ 0 moreTook 6 weeks to complete 1 day of work. I found out later that Paul works a full time job for the county, so he does work on the side. If I had known that, I would NOT have used him. This job took FOREVER and around 30 calls to get completed. I had several plumbing problems a few months ago - all that Paul said he would fix. After the 8th time of saying he was going to show up, I gave up and hired a new plumber. Jokes on me I guess. Beware!
Description of Work: New hot water, laundry sink, sump pump, washer hookup.
