Job started last fall and still isn't completed. Have to keep calling them all the time, but they don't show up when promised. Word is no good. They keep up lying and making excuses. They are not reliable or dependable. Do not hire them. Find someone else.We ended up firing them because they kept making promises but never filled them. Had to hire new contractor to finish the job and so far Hadley hasn't paid us back that they owe us for the work they never did.Because they left the sidewalk forms up all winter,my car was damaged from having to drive over them to be able to park in the driveway. They left our property in shambles and tore up the yard while using a bobcat.

The work was good. The money was more than I had figured, but that was not the problem. I should have questioned the amount the next morning when he came to work. When I took the check out to pay him he was on his knees and had the electric line for the yard lights in his hand. I ask him what was wrong and he said he had cut the wires to the lights, but had repaired them and they were fine. Because of the seriousness of my son's medical condition, I did not check the lights immediately. I noticed later they were not lit. I contacted Mr. Hadley and he said he could come out that same day. He did not come. I called him a few days later and he said he could come out immediately. He did not. I have called him a total of 8 times and he has not come out yet. The last call, I told him I would buy new lights and hire an electrician to put them in and I would send him the bill. He has not responded yet and I will probably have to replace the lights at my own expense. My complaint was not with the work he did. My complaint is that he damaged something, did not fix it but continued to lie about coming out and still has not repaired them and it was for spring work and it is now just about fall and he has not yet done anything.
Description of Work: My husband had passed away and my son was in hospital so had to get help with my lawn. I had just the day before found an advertisement in my door. It was from Hadley Landscaping. I needed help with the yard as it was spring and I was late starting spring maintenance. I called Hadley's and they agreed to rake and dispose of leaves. He gave me an estimate of $16.50 per man per hour. He said there would be two workers. It would take maybe 6 to 8 hours. I figured a little more than $200.00. When he came the next day at about 9:00 AM he had 3 men. I assumed it would be $16.50 per man, but less hours. He finished about 12:30 PM and charged $350.00. They did an excellent job. My husband always took care of the house repairs and/or had them done. I am learning what to ask and get it in writing.
