CEDAR RUN LANDSCAPES

We are absolutely thrilled with the results. Not only is the rain garden incredibly beautiful but it is highly functional as well. The crew was courteous, knowledgeable and reliable, and did a fantastic job all the way through. We had a minor problem after the fact, and Alden came back out quickly and his crew resolved it without any hassle. We definitely plan to hire Cedar Run for future landscaping projects.

We had an excellent experience with them. It was top-notch workmanship. We got what we expected. There were no surprises. They were meticulous. I didn't even know that they were here. They were a little bit higher than others, but I think ultimately, it's worth it, for what you get.

They were excellent, I was very happy with them. They always return phone calls, they did what they said they would do on time. They followed up to make sure the grass was coming in, they came out after the fact and redid some of the areas to make sure it was complete. They were thorough, they were easy to get to.

I'm happy that their qualities are upgraded. I want to say that you need to know exactly what you want to do specifically. They did a good job on what they but they're not that available.

A few stones fell of and they will repair in the warm weather.

They are completely honorable and professional. They are the only place in the area that sells pine needles. They deliver to me and I pay upfront. Every expereince I have had with them has been extremely professional. They are everything good that you could possibly want in a service provider.

They were great. When you call on a Saturday, the boss answers. They were very considerate, neat and clean. When they took down a couple of bushes, they made no intrusion to the neighborhood. They also placed up a barrier near our entry so it did not get dirty. They also knew all of the plants they were putting in. Their prices were also reasonable. I also had some questions a few months later that they quickly responded to.

They service was fine. They had a good knowledge of shrubbery and the plants. I was happy with the work that they did.

They were very nice. We went to another company that did not have what we needed. They recommended Cedar Run. I paid over the phone and we picked up the order. Their prices were very reasonable. The product was great.

Work is ongoing and service has been very good. Any concerns/complaints have been addressed and resolved quickly. They are a little pricey but quality is good !

Excellent! This is how I wish all my home projects went. From the quoting phase through project completion, this company did everything they said they would do, when they said they would do it. The quote was provided in a timely fashion. It was complete and detailed. When we discussed a change, I received an updated quote. Everything we agreed to, I received in writing. The job started and ended on the the dates discussed and the guys cleaned up after themselves every day. Work was completed in a professional manner. It was a very pleasant experience from beginning to end. A pleasure.

The garden is magnificent with one plant blooming as soon as one is finished. The only problem that I had was the cost that I thought was high, but, I do believe that one gets what one pays for and I have a fabulous garden. I have some very interesting plants that I've never seen before that are beautiful and some that have a wonderful fragrance. My once barren backyard has become a true retreat.

Unless you plan to pay for an estimate - I would not use them

The contractor kept us abreast of the start date and let us know what to expect. He also requested that we informed our neighbors so they could be prepared for the limited disruption in traffic flow as the crew worked. They started as promised on Tuesday and were finished on Monday. Because they were a little behind schedule, they scheduled extra staff on Saturday to speed the project along. They kept the area neat and clean while they worked and ensured the area was clear of debris when they left. They even filled two potholes in the common driveway with excess material. The neighbors have been watching as well and I wouldn't be surprised if Cedar Run Landscapes got a few more jobs from completing this one.

The men arrived promptly and reviewed the project with me before they began work. They worked every day, and finished the project within the 3-day period they had projected. I was pleased when I saw the materials they were using; the bluestones were handsome , 3-4" thick slabs that clearly would last forever if properly supported and installed. The color of the smaller stones used to create drainage spaces was close to the large stones and did not detract from the effect of the bluestone. We are delighted with the patio. It provides a handsome focal point for the yard, and we're happy it will be contributing to the solution of the rain water run-off problem in the city. Overall, our experience with Cedar Run Landscapes could not have been more satisfactory. The workmen were courteous, professional, reliable and highly competent. Alden Zove was pleasant to deal with and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time for us to be as certain as possible as to what we wanted and what would work, and he worked with us to consider a range of alternative options. We would recommend him highly.

Alden was prompt and thorough with his quote for work. Scheduling was a snap, the workers came right on time and completed the work as was quoted. The work and cleanup met our expectations. Alden was quick with follow up and even offered other suggestions for landscape work we might have done.

Over all Cedar Landscaping was a very impressive operation with an extensive selection of plants & trees. Their design group was very knowledgeable and professional.

Job took about two weeks. Curtis and his crew (Rob and Keith) were on time every day. It was very hot in July and these fellas worked hard every day. With the excavation that was involved I expected dirt everywhere but every day before leaving they made sure the area was clean. I had a few ideas on how I wanted to landscape around the pond but I'm glad I listened to their suggestions as it turned out even more beautiful then I had anticipated. Great job on the paver walkways too. Do not hesitate to use this company - you won't be disappointed.

It went very well. I called and the owner came by our home within a few days of my request. His follow up is excellent. He walked throughout the front and back yards of our home and gave me good advice on what to do, how much we could realistically expect from their work and we talked about redo-ing a significant portion of both front and back yards (we recently moved into a home that needs some work in the yards). He helped me to understand ball park costs for the kind of ideas I had, steered me in the right direction for best 'bang for the buck' options and helped me prioritize the work I want done. He provided a quote within a couple of days and work commenced. The amount of labor for our clean up effort was a dual visit effort, and the work was done rapidlly and looked excellent. They needed to come out for a second application of weed killer which they did, and our yard is now maintainable for the remainder of the year. We then got a layout and plan for landscaping in our front and plan to implement that next spring or summer (economy permitting). There were other areas of our yard that need work (eg. large tree removal and fence replacement). We were given referrals from reputable local vendors who are experts in these areas, and I feel confident using those vendors if they come from Cedar Run as a source - the expertise at this company is strong and reliable.

Overall, it was a positive experience. They stuck to their estimate and did the work as promised.

We live in a townhouse and struggled for five years to get grass to grow in our backyard. Sandwiched between one neighbor's deck and another's patio with solid landscape around it, we retained all of the water that ran down the common area hill and from everyone's downspouts. Every time it rained, almost half of our yard was underwater. We love to garden and were restricted to containers, because the backyard's mulch beds were so swampy. I contacted Cedar Run Landscapes because I saw that they were experienced in working with drainage problems. I also liked the pictures of their hardscaping with natural stone. Alden got back to me right away, met with me after work hours, and immediately had a solution for our drainage problems. We were so relieved! Cedar Run Landscapes led by Curtis installed a beautiful flagstone patio for us. They installed a series of underground water collection boxes that collect the rain water for us. The boxes are covered by stone and are incorporated into the design. They added water friendly plants that work beautifully with the plants that we already had and mulched the beds that flank our patio. We can't tell you how many neighbors stopped to compliment us on our new patio. Cedar Run Landscapes truly changed the quality of our lives. It is such a relief to look in our backyard and know that it is totally usable even after a heavy rain. Our sump pump even runs less now. It is a beautiful patio that we are proud to show off.

It was a wonderful experience. They came at the time they promised and they were very professional.

Our most recent project was landscaping an area on the side of the house that tends to have standing water which kills trees, grass, and most plants. Alden and his team suggested a means of adding drainage, making a walkway and plants that would be pretty, appropriate for the space, and deer resistant. It turned out beautifully.

I made my initial request for quote via email and Alden called me back first thing the next day. He came out within a few days (he accomodated my work schedule) and provided a quote before he left. I have NO green thumb...I've tried unsuccessfully over the years to make the front lawn appealing, but my efforts never seem to produce lasting results. I let Alden know I was open to any suggestions he had, and that my only criteria was that the area be low maintenance for me to maintain. The price was in line with what I had seen on-line from others for the same type of work I was having. Considering I had the work done in November, some of the plants are dormant (there are no leaves on the Japanese Maple, the Black Eyed Susans are cut down and barely noticeable, etc), so the beauty of what I had done won't be evident until the spring. But Alden gave me a guarantee until May, so if any of the plants don't bloom in the spring, I can just give him a call and he will replace them. I work full time and didn't have alot of time to entertain multiple quotes or haggling, so my experience with Cedar Run was perfect and accomodated exactly what I needed. I would utilize Cedar Run again the future for sure. Professional, punctual and I can't wait til spring!

Cedar Run is a fantastic company. If I could afford to have them do everything to my yards, I would! But for now, I just have them maintaining my pond in the backyard, where we have large goldfish. Curtis comes by every month to clean the filters and check to make sure everything is going swimmingly (har har). He's such a nice guy, and he really cares about his work. He is a wonderful representative for a great company. Everyone I've met from Cedar Run is kind and caring, and they really do care about the quality of their work. I can't recommend them enough.
