He did very good work. He responded promptly when we called and he was very punctual for the job. They had to dig up the front. I don’t know how to rate him on price because we had a coupon that we used through Angie’s List for 10% off. I thought the price was high but I don’t know how much it would cost for them to come and dig. They had to do a little bit of digging and the price was at least $500 more from his initial estimate. I don’t know what the going price is for that particular kind of job. My wife was here when the job was done. She told me that the guy filmed everything he did. The plumber himself was very good. The people that he used for doing the excavation were very prompt as far as getting here early but the only negative thing about the whole job was they didn’t pick up their piece of equipment for almost two weeks after the job was done. I was not too happy about the machine being here. I don’t blame him for that. I blame the excavator. I don’t know if he was being lazy or indifferent. I would grade him a C as far as the company’s responsiveness is concerned to come and get their equipment and that was through the plumber. We would recommend him to anybody and would use him again in the future.

Philip has done a few jobs for us in the last year...this being the most recent. He responds quickly to the phone call, gives an estimate quickly. The estimate is reasonable and his ability to come out in a quick enought timeframe is acceptable. He is very detail-oriented and has done good work - bottomline good job and no issues. We will use him again!

Super nice, professional, punctual, got right back to me, and the sink is better than it every was before! Plus, the price was quite reasonable. He was even fine with us buying our own fixture and gave us tips on what to buy for best results. I was more impressed that the first thing he did was to bring in a drop cloth and cover up everything to keep it neat and clean. I'm definitely going to use his services again. (Gotta call him soon to fix that dripping laundry sink!)

Phil was great to work with. He was quick to come to our house and give us our estimate. Originally we thought that we only need to replace 5 feet of our pipe which cracked. While on the job, Phil recommended that we consider replacing 20 feet of the pipe since it was fairly clogged. We went with Phil's recommendation and are happy we make that decision so we won't have to worry about the pipe cracking again. Phil was honest and able to answer any of our questions. We would definitely use Phil again.

On all occasions, Phil has been prompt and his prices have been fair. When he came to work on our broken garbage disposal, he was careful to be sure our problem wasn't electrical first, so that we wouldn't unnecessarily be buying a new disposal. When he replaced the broken toilet, he talked me out of getting one a Home Depot, saying they wouldn't flush as well as what he could get from a supply house. I was a little apprehensive, but trusted him. I'm glad I did. If I could love a toilet, I'd love this one. (By the way - my husband probably hopes everyone knows he's not the one writing this, as that's not a very manly thing to say, ha ha). It really does flush like a champ, and you can remove the seat to clean it. I hope we don't need a plumber again anytime soon, but if we do, we'll call Phil.

We have used Philip's plumbing services many times before. He is an excellent plumber and more importantly a good communicator. He tells you what he is going to do then does exactly that. Not only did he fix our plumbing under the kitchen sink / install new garbage disposal but he also answered many plumbing questions we had about the house we recently purchased. He is a pleasure to work with. We will gladly use him again.

Phil completed the work in about 4 hours and I'm very satisfied with the workmanship and results.

Phil stopped by to provide an estimate and instead started working on the numerous projects. We wanted to replace the bath & sink hardware (customer provided) in two bathrooms and fix a leaky toilet. He finished most of the work that afternoon. The bath hardware was not the correct equipment. So, we'll bring Phil back to finish.

Overall, I would call on Phil Schafer again!

Once again, Phil did an outstanding job. This particular house is a rental property of mine and he offers many great suggestions on how to "tenant-proof" the home in addition to the plumbing work he does. Phil is very friendly, professional, honest and an overall pleasure to work with. He is quick to respond and works around my inability to stay on task and on time during other stages of construction!!!

He was incredibly responsive, he showed up when he said he would. He was very honest. We live in a very old house, and he tried to do a repair which unfortunately didn't work, the alternative is ripping out the wall of the house. He was willing to try to fix something where other guys wouldn't have tried. He took a long time saying I don't know if this is going to work, but I'll try it. But he was very honest and punctual and nice about it. And the price seemed right.

We called him and he came out the next day. We thought we had a leak in the ceiling, turns out it was just a leak in the showerhead. Thought we had a leak in basement. He provided information for a gutter cleaner. He was very prompt and professional. Would definitely use and recommend him again in the future.

Phil is great! I had initially hired a different plumber to do the work. When that plumber showed up, he saw the building permits in the window and ran for the hills leaving me with a no plumber and a very tight schedule to try stick to. That's when I started calling around. At this point, I didn't care so much about price so much as availability. Phil had a slot open a few days away and was able to get in to do the job. As it turns out his price (I was billed time & materials, not flat rate) was $2000 less than what the first plumber was going to charge! He has since done work for several of my neighbors and they have all been pleased with him.

The first problem was a need for parts in the toilet tank. He replaced only the necessary parts quickly and efficiently. The second visit he replaced parts under kitchen sink, analyzing the problem more intelligently than the original "fixer."

Philip is an excellent plumber, very thorough and conscientious. He was prompt in responding to my calls, he was on time with his visit for an estimate, and he did the work exactly as described, within the timeframe of his estimate. Overall the experience was very good, and I am thrilled to find a plumber I can trust. He came out a second time to check a problem for me, fixed it within minutes, and didn't charge me for the visit. What plumber does that? I will be using his services for everything in my home plumbing-related.
