I was so stressed when this happened. I felt so alone. Thank you for your prompt attention and the service attendant, Emphram (not sure of the spelling) was fantastic. I'm very grateful for his patience and persistence to correct my problem.

Dispatcher seemed nice but everything else was HORRIFIC. It is $79 dollars to come out to your home to review the work (no problem) but then the plumber came and was completely disrespectful (made several rude comments) and did a hard sell for me to sign up for a membership and to commit to using them for the work. When I said I wasn't ready to commit he said, "fine, that will be another $205 (can't remember the exact number) assessment fee." I was in shock and said I never agreed to that and in fact hadn't received any assessment. At this point the plumber told me, "my time isn't free" and that I had to pay it or sign up for the membership and he would make the assessment fee a non refundable deposit. At this point my head was spinning and I felt so uncomfortable. I vocally said I felt uncomfortable several times and even asked if I was being treated like this because I was a woman. He wouldn't leave and kept repeating how he just saved me so much money and that Horizon services would have been double (I never said anything about Horizon). I wanted them out of the house so I stupidly paid it because I felt trapped and pressured. So at this point I'm out $338 for nothing. I thought maybe this was a one time thing so I called the dispatcher and said I needed additional information at which point he got the plumber on the phone. Let me tell you the plumber spoke to me completely different when the dispatcher was on the line. After that I made the decision I definitely wasn't going with them. Given how terrible this interaction was I then proceed to get a quote from another Plumber. They did not charge me to come out to my home to review the work and the cost was half of what Montco-Rooter was trying to charge me. I called Montco-rooter back to say that I won't be moving forward with them and that I would like a refund for everything but the $79 initial dispatch fee. Standard to their apparent ethical practices they told me they would only refund me $50. If they actually refund the $50 that means it cost me $288 for them to come out and look at my property!!! Please learn from my mistakes and BEWARE especially if you are a woman.

Great service tech had some troubles getting clogged but stay persistent and got the job done

It went way smoother and easier than I anticipated. The old heater malfunctioned last night and I called the number at night as there was a water leak in the basement and a huge puddle of water. The person who handled the call told me that they will be able to come the first thing in the morning(other companies told me earliest appointment would be two days later. The person on the phone educated me about how to turn the water to the heater off, which helped stop the leak. Louis came in the morning. He was very pleasant. Very professional. He was able to diagnose the problem soon and explained it to me as well. He explained my options. I found the rates very reasonable. He started work immediately and 4 hours later it was done. He explained the functioning of various parts of the heater as well. I was very pleased with his work.

Amazing! They came in to give me an estimate for a new water heater. I just wanted an estimate at first but after seeing how knowledgeable they were and took the time to explain to what was going on and I hired them on the spot. They did the installation that day and kept me I formed the entire time. Cleaned up after themselves and genuinely just nice people.

It went great. Was a little concerned about the changes in arrival but was understanding, and once arrival happened, super helpful and informative. And didn't seem to get annoyed when the kids asked questions, that was nice. Got the job done.
