Our pebble drive way was completely replaced with pavers and excellent draining system. The walk way up to the house was newly installed with landscaping on either sides. More landscaping and the side and the back yard were also renovated. These areas now have a beautiful garden appearance. Many neighbors have stopped and complemented on the excellent work done by the company. And now even in the winter time our property is truly magnificent. The workers at every stage of the process were hard working and conscientious and extremely knowledgeable about plants, grasses, bushes, trees, and flowers. Now we are looking forward to seeing the flowers coming up in the spring.

I am currently working with them on a hardscaping and drainage thing. I've just been working with them. They've given me a quote, been back and forth several times changing the information and we're almost definitely be moving forward with them and they've been great to work with. so i don't know how you want to qualify that but they haven't actually done the work yet but i've been dealing with them for a while now trying to get something set up. I would say that's a 95 percent probability I would use them again.

E.G. Rall never disappoints. They are courteous, professional, and do high quality work each and every time. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping or other outdoor projects.

The overall result was an enhanced curb appeal to our property. The scope of the project included landscaping, hardscaping, electrical and tree removal services. The contractor was able to provide or fully enlist and coordinate all of these services making the entire project seamless for us. As a result of their initial consult, the project was well organized and and fully completed within our requested timeframe. In addition, the contractor was very responsive to our special requests to provide plant material that was resistant or unappealing to our inherent wildlife population (deer, groundhogs, raccoons), but also provided an appealing enhancement to our existing landscaping. All of their work crews were fastidious and conscientious concerning their work areas and the entire project was well supervised. This is the second landscaping project we have undertaken with this contractor, we have experienced the same results on both occasions, and I would definitely hire them again. Also, the contractor consistently uses plants of excellent and has demonstrated a proper knowledge and technique for their installation.

It went beautifully. E.G. came out and gave me an estimate and was in constant communication with me during the entire process of my choosing the shrubs, his locating and purchasing the shrubs and the final planting. His crew did an excellent job.

First off I think there was a language barrier. I never once spoke with any of the contacts in person or on the phone except for their secretary. Everything was through email, which was irritating. Despite the communication barrier, they were able to do the work required and did so with haste. The first day of work they were to fill the hole in the backyard. which was easy enough. They cleared debris and filled in the hole with local top soil and topped it off with grass seed and straw. Nothing bad about that, it was an easy job. The second day they installed a railing onto the rest of my deck to match what was currently there. They overshot almost every corner, screws weren't flush with wood, inconsistent length on Balusters, one rail post wasn't even touching the deck, and one bottom rail was not even nailed/screwed down. Pretty much it was 80% complete and I was not pleased when i received an invoice for the job. I nicely wrote back and asked them to fix the issues they left, and they did. They came back the next day and redid most of the work to my satisfaction. In the end I was pleased with the result, but still could not get over the communication barrier. Having everything go through email was inefficient and extremely irritating.

They seemed to be working out alright. They did aeration over the lawn to get ready for the winter. It was a little pricey but their service excellent.

The job went well. The crew who worked on site were so friendly and professional--we couldn't have asked for nicer men. The foreman stopped back at the house a week or two later to see how everything was and to ask us if we were satisfied. The shrubs used were healthy and beautiful. All survived the summer and had lots of new growth on them. We would definitely have this group do work for us again. When the trees were trinmed everything was cleaned up and left spotless. Once again I think the company's largest asset is their work crew and foreman.

After contacting EG Rall by e-mail he came to look at the property promptly and provided a detailed bid. I had recently purchased the property, my homeowners insurance company wanted the ivy removed from the exterior of the house by a certain date, and EG Rall sent a crew to take care of that part of project even though the rest of the work had to be scheduled a couple of weeks out. The crews always arrived on time, were thoroughly professional, and did all the work as promised. The yard has been transformed from a neglected and overgrown area to a fine looking expanse. The bid for the work was highly detailed and included photos of the a areas that needed attention. The staff and project manager were thorough in their communication, scheduling and billing. Everything was done on time and on budget. I could not be happier with the experience.

Straightforward quoting process and they came when stated for the work which was done within 1 day. The mailbox was installed perfectly - straight, no wobble and everything is still good several weeks later. I would certainly use EG Rall Landscaping again in the future as they have always been responsive both in communication and with ideas. They also do high quality work.

I couldn't be more pleased with the work. The property looks great and so far, we haven't had the issues with water ponding that we used to have. The crew was here when promised, and the price was very reasonable. I will likely hire them again.

I am very impressed by this company. The quotation process was very good and they made several good suggestions and also counseled against some things we had thought about doing - saving us money. The project took two days and the crew was very thorough and professional. The project manager who came out on the first day to orientate the crew was thorough and the work was very good, it is now 2 weeks later and everything is looking good and working. The drainage system is working during the recent heavy rains. I have no hesitation to use them again for any future landscaping needs.

Other than the fact the tree was gone, you would never know that they were there. Nobody was home at the time of service and when I returned from work that day, there was zero disruption to my property, parked vehichles, wires or lawn. I was completely satisfied!!

E.G. is very patient and thoughtful and has been great to work with always. Lito, his job manager is also very responsive in scheduling and preparing. So the lead up to the work was entirely satisfactory. The Rall crew came out and spent pretty much an entire day on the "clean up" and the place looked great. They re-mulched a huge area, fertilized plants all over the property, applied pre-emergent herbicide as needed, weeded beds, fixed areas damaged by the winter storms, etc., etc. A couple months later, it still looks great. The Rall team, Gabriel in particular, were wonderful about addressing questions and specific issues on the actual day of the work. We were very pleased with the results, as our place looks green and presentable and is very enjoyable for us. The only "B" grade here is for price but please take note: this is really just an "objective" measure of the price, as I know we could have gotten the same jobs done for less money. We hired E.G. Rall, though, because we knew E.G. and his crew would give us what we needed, get the job done right the first time, and work with us to address our questions and concerns. (Plus, I think we needed a TON of mulch and the company didn't come in short on that to keep the bid low.) In other words, a "mow and blow" company would have done the job for a couple hundred less, and I suspect that would have shown at the end. We think E.G. Rall and his company are terrific, very trustworthy, very reliable, and very good. We know landscaping is going to be a big part of our home upkeep and improvement over the years and are very glad to have someone as good as these guys to go to.

We use E.G Rall for our weekly mowing and for the spring clean up,mulching and planting. I received other estimates and they are by far the most reasonable. They came out surveyed the yard and discussed who would be performing the work, approximately how long it would take, what machinery would be used and how it was going to be done. We have over an acre, lots of trees and a creek to get over to mow the the other side of the yard, its not the easiest yard to mow, trust me I know I did it for 12 years before back problems prevented me from doing it myself. We are very meticulous and whenever we have any questions or need something else they are always there to listen and help. They also performed our spring clean up, mulching and planting. The spring clean up was a project in itself, this winter was brutal, the spring rain didn't help either, we had lots of shrubs removed, stumps dug out and prior debris hauled away. The rain caused delays, but hey that's mother nature. The crew actually got caught in the rain, they waited it out and got right back to business as soon as it was done, and they were able to finish all the work in one day Needless to say that after the cleanup was done, new shrubs planted and mulch was put down, it all looked great! It really spruced up the property. Whenever I have a question they respond promptly, whether its by email or phone. We definitely would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the great work guys!

contacted EJ Rall for an estimate on performing landscaping design/implementation for my property which was damaged by the winter storm. His assistant called me to tell me that someone would be contacting me to schedule a visit to my property. That was over 2 weeks ago and I have not heard back from them. Poor service in the sales side of the business is usually highly indicative of poor service when the contractor has been hired. I'm surprised by this poor service from someone who is recommended on Angie's list. This is one of the very few times I have experienced this since beginning my use of Angie's List many years ago!

The workers were on time very polite and hard workers. Everyday a job manager was available to answer any questions and make sure project was as planned. Owner was by every day also. They were very professional the work was great and done on time. I would highly recommend this company and we would use them again.

We're VERY pleased with this company, especially the project manager, Lito Alberto. All of the employees perform excellent work and act professionally. They're very accommodating, hard working, trustworthy, and pleasant, and have excellent follow through. They do what they say they'll do.

We started researching this project about 1 year before we connected with E.G. We had a preliminary design we liked and had spoken with several other contractors. We found the others to be unresponsive, too expensive, or both. When we contacted E.G., he was very responsive. In fact, he came to our house several times to answer questions and make modifications to the design until we were satisfied. Once the work started, his crew was professional and courteous. They completed the work in a timely manner and came back afterwards to ensure everything was OK. His price was not the lowest, but given the fact he was so responsive and pleasant to work with, we certainly got great value for our money.

Lito was willing to work with us about the services provided and costs of those services. The crew of two came cleaned out, pruned, and mulched about five beds. They hauled away all the refuse. They were on time, they worked hard, and we were very pleased with the results. I will use them again in the future.

We used this company previously for an equally large project elsewhere on the property, which we quite liked. The company's estimate for the present job was at the high end of those we had received from 6 or so other companies. Given the company's previous work, we went with it nonetheless. The quality of the work on the present job is extraordinary -- attention to detail, elevations, workmanship, materials, etc. The work was worth every bit of the cost. Two small hitches in the work, relating to the translation of measurements from the plan and fieldstone detail, but both were resolved satisfactorily. The company was responsive to suggestions and concerns. The company kept us fully informed as to scheduling and progress. Communication was good. The crew was hard-working, thoughtful, well organized, and extremely competent. The final product is quite beautiful.

Our house was a new construction and as what most builders do, they include landscape packages that were way off. Tall shrubs were placed in front of the house with no symmetry at all. Basically just poor landscaping design. E G RALL JR DESIGN to the rescue. They transplanted all the shrubs to their appropriate spots, redesigned the front bed and added beds to both sides of the house. They introduced us to different flowering plants and shrubs that were more appropriate to the design and location of the beds ( direct versus indirect sunlight, etc ). Now the front of the house has more symmetry and no longer an eye sore.It is perfect for an all year round design. This time of the year, we planted pansies and mums and it looks awesome. No matter what annual flowering plants you put in, it still looks amazing. They listen to us that we wanted a design that is low maintenance and would give us an all year round look. The staff was very courteous, and even worked when it was raining. They answered all our questions and concerns.

Delivered our plan on time despite some setbacks. E.G. Rall was determined to please and was very responsive to our needs and concerns. In the end we have outdoor space that receives rave reviews and provides the additional entertaining space we desired.
