The survey was performed in a timely manner. The work was meticulous and we received certified maps. Highly recommended.

Stephen just left and I am extremely happy that I chose Bear Gully for my lot survey needs. Stephen is a very nice guy, very professional, and his work is top notch. The drawings that he left us show the corner markers and the extra posts I asked him to place and are complete with coordinates and information about the surrounding lots. He told me the very old original pins were still in the front of the lot. I would highly recommend Bear Gully to anyone. Reasonably priced and quality work!

I have called this company multiple times to request a quote and have received no response. It is a shame since I expected more based on previous reviews.

Stephen was fantastic! I requested estimates from three different surveyors, and Stephen from Bear Gully Survey was by far the least expensive by a huge amount and the quickest to reply to me. He was able to give me a quote over the phone and when I called him back to accept the quote, he scheduled the work at that time and was in constant contact with me throughout the job. He looked up some necessary info over the weekend, started the work on Monday and finished on Wednesday. Again, throughout this entire time he kept me up to date on what he was doing, when he was coming out to my house, and when he expected to be finished. Personally, communication is a very big deal for me, and Stephen met and even went beyond my expectations. I wish everyone I had work at my house had communication skills as good as his. I highly recommend Bear Gully Survey and Stephen to anyone who might have need of a surveyor! Thank you very much!

I initially called Bear Gully and left a voice message. My call was returned within several hours and the survey scheduled to occur about week later.

Excellent. Stephen was quick to respond to my request for an estimate for a boundary survey. He arrived at 11am - prior to which he was at the county offices gathering information on my deed and that of the neighbors. He worked for 6 hours and was done around 5pm. He installed four pairs of stakes - each pair consisting of a rebar and a wooden witness stakes. Additionally he also installed one more rebar and witness stake upon request for an additional charge of $25. When done - he provided 3 copies of the work done, with the document stating where each stake was installed.

Steve was professional, courteous, and thorough. Very painless transaction for a complicated property.

The whole process could not have gone better. Steve responded quickly to my request for a quote for a boundary survey of our property, came in at almost half the quote we received from another company. He came out to the property days later, and had already gone to the courthouse to research the property lines. He then examined our deed for additional information, which contained references to documents not included in Steve's original research at the courthouse. So Steve spent nearly 6 hours doing what he could to get the boundary lines established with the information he had available. But he refused payment until he had a chance to go back to the courthouse a couple days later to examine the documents referenced in our deed. He then came back out to our property, for the second time, and finished the job. He did not charge us extra for the second trip, and even gave us a discount off the original quote. We are very pleased with the whole process, and have the utmost confidence in Steve's work product (clear corner markers, drawings, etc.). We're looking forward to getting our backyard fence up soon!

Steve was great about accommodating our schedule and communication was very good. He worked in the rain and was a trooper for dealing with horrible weather. He was excellent with our follow up questions. Highly recommend.

They were a little difficult to contact, but when we did he clearly explained the costs. He arrived on time and completely prepared, since he did all the necessary research in advance. He located a "road monument" in my front lawn that I never knew existed, even though I owned the property for 30 years. He used that and other markers he discovered to carefully layout the corners of my property. He climbed over my back fence into heavy brush to locate and stake the corners. He exceeded my expectations in his efforts to provide an accurate survey. I opted to for an additional stake at the property midpoint, which he provided for a small cost. I was informed of that option and cost at the time I hired him. When the survey was completed he provided 3 copies of the survey drawings. He was polite, did not waste time. and cleared away any mess.

Steve came out within a week of my first contact with him. We needed to know where our property lines were as were getting ready to install a fence. He was able to give me an accurate estimate of his services over the phone and I could tell he was looking online at the available information about our property while we spoke. He came out at the time scheduled and even called me ahead of time to let me know when he would arrive. He marked each corner with stakes and also marked points in between (at no extra charge!) to make it easier for the fencing company. His price was very reasonable and less than the other two Angie's list providers I called. I would definitely use his services again!

I received a call back when he said he will call back. His price is very good considering the amount of time he spent doing what he did. Everything is properly documented. He answered all of our questions and some more. Stephen is the consummate professional. I wish more service providers are like him.

Quick response, professional job, good communication. My fence company was very impressed with the job he did saying his lines were perfect and it made the fence job easier.I have already given out bear gully's name to three of my friends.

Stephen responded quickly to our questions and request for a quote. His price was reasonable, and he started and finished the job promptly. His drawing was detailed, showing that the fence installed by the original owner was several feet from the property line in some areas. My only criticism is the way he hacked away some tree branches to clear his line of sight. If he had told me that the Japanese Maple was in his way, I could have neatly pruned the offending branch instead of just chopping it right in the middle. And the holly tree was close to one of the mid-point stakes we requested. I would have reconsidered the location of that stake if I had known it required butchering the holly tree.

Overall, it went great. He performed the service he was hired to do, and provided me with permanent stakes, temporary stakes, and copies of the survey. He was very accommodating, and even planted a couple of extra temporary stakes to mark the 1/2 way points (at an extra cost, of course). The only thing I would say, is if there are trees/bushes/vegetation of any kind in the vicinity of where you think your stakes will be placed, either cut it before he comes to perform the survey, or be prepared to have things cut for you, and be ready to clean up the aftermath. He will clear a wide berth around the area he needs to stake.

Often in the world of contractor and service providers there is a huge gap in what is promised by advertising or by the person that does the service. A fantastic and refreshing business experience was provided by BEAR GULLY SURVEY CO. in that they met or exceeded all of my expectations. Upon first call I was not greeted with an answering machine or computer tree but was instantly in contact with the man who would do the survey. Prices were clearly explained and were totally fair and very competitive. A complete deed review of my property was done prior to his starting the survey and once started he showed up exactly on time, informed any curious neighbor what he was doing, and then efficiently surveyed my irregularly shaped 1.5 acre property and marked borders plainly with easy to see markers. He then showed how to find landmarks that would again provide border boundaries in the future. He then provided three copies of the survey and land boundaries with very clear and well drawn graphics. Steve, was very responsive, and took time to understand what I needed done. Steve took the time to explain his services and was on time. He spoke to neighbors as well to let them know what he was doing. Extremely, professional and polite. The materials supplied (stakes) were high quality. He also provided me with certificates verifying his work. I would highly recommend his services to everyone.

Our original phone call was answered later that evening, Mr. Bryant explained his service and cost, and scheduled an appointment for approx. two weeks from then. He came on time, provided all the documentation and was very professional. We added a couple extra pins which added to the price but he did explain that to us in the original call. We are quite pleased that we chose this company.

Went great. Original quote was $475 for half acre lot, but when we called back to schedule his price went up $50, however he told us since he already gave us 475 price, he would do that. Called two days before to confirm was still coming and going to courthouse. Even called day of to say when he would b here roughly. He was here almost 4 hrs.

I was very satisfied with the results, explanation, and map provided.
