Had an emergency leak. Next day appointment was confirmed by text/email. They were a no show...… STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Attilio Plumbing came out to inspect my heating system. Joe was on time, professional and even wore protecting booties when walking through my home. He took the time to answer all my questions and explain to me how a steam system functions and what to look for. I will definitely be calling these guys next winter when its time to fire up my boiler again.

Contracted with Attilio plumbing for a Code Enforcement required Heater inspection, for which I paid $175.00 and never received a heater certification. The heater was working well when the technician arrived. By the time the technician left, the heater was no longer working, the diagnosis to repair went from Purge air from baseboards ($250.00), to an auto damper replacement ($530.00), to a cycle pilot valve ($1155.00), to a complete heater replacement ($5965.00). Clearly these technicians don't have a good understanding of what they are working on. Another HVAC professional came out and figured out the damage that was done by the Attilio technician, he turned the furnace on, inspected it and certified the heater as being in good working condition. The furnace was working well the whole time, it was shut off to get more money out of me - the customer - what a disgrace. I do not recommend Attilio plumbing, heating and cooling.

I did not hire Attilio for this service; another contractor was hired. However, I wanted to commend the professionalism of the technician who came to my house on October 30, 2018. He might have saved my life and my home. When he went to the basement to inspect the work area, he mentioned that he smelled gas. I told him that PECO had been out about 6 months earlier and said that it was a normal intermittent discharge that was not a cause for concern. Also, I could not smell anything. The technician insisted that it was a strong odor and that I should contact PECO again. After he provided his estimate for the work that I wanted and left, I asked my daughter for her opinion. She went downstairs and said that she smelled it too. I immediately called PECO. Within 20 minutes, a tech was there. He went over the basement and detected gas around the furnace. He thought that a particular pipe was lose and was preparing to go back to his truck to get a wrench larger than the one that he had on him. He decided to stop and continue to use the "sniffer" to scout around the floor. The washer was giving off a strong signal, but the washer is electric. He continued on toward the the dryer, and the sniffer went crazy. As he got to the back of the gas dryer, he discovered that there was a pin hole in the coil that was allowing gas to escape at floor level, which was then making its way over toward the furnace and hot water heater. How long this had been going on, we will never know. Needless to say, PECO immediately turned off the gas supply to the dryer. The tech told me what kind of replacement gas line to get and I was off to Lowe's to get it. For anyone who is aware of the recent explosion of the mansion in Gladwyne, you can understand that I feel that the Attilio technician probably averted a similar disaster at my home. Thankfully, we will never know. Although I do not know his name, I felt that his professionalism should be noted.

The crew did an excellent job. They showed up on time, worked diligently and made sure to limit the dust and debris. They replaced a 90 year old solid cement laundry sink and installed a new water heater with expansion tank.
