Description of Work: I think this is the painter I could never get in touch with so we transferred to another Angie's list provider.

Description of Work: The job was decent. However, the painter disappeared without letting us know that he was leaving or that he had completed the work. We were home at the time. Did not here from them again until more than a month had passed. The job was pre-paid so there was no problem. While they were gone without contact, I had the rest of the house painted. They arrived at my home unexpectedly one day and picked up some equipment that had been left on my property and apologized because they had lost their address book with the names and phone number of clients. I took them at their word. They seemed honest and the painting work was decent. I would add that they do need to become a little more professional. There was paint chips left on my secondary roof which I was left to clean up. This was pointed out to me by a neighbor who saw it passing by from the street. The owner who had been present only at the start of the job did take the time to cover plants and flowers for their protection. However, that level of detail was not evident by the painter who remained. Again the painting work was good but a little more attention to details would go a long way to building a better business.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $199 for eight hours of wallpaper removal, drywall repair, and painting. My experience was fine. They were flexible and helpful.

Description of Work: After numerous attempts to contact the provider and then reaching the provider and being directed immediately to voicemail, I'm giving up trying to redeem the big deal that I purchased. I never received a callback, etc from Alpha and Omega Painting and am concerned that if they're this difficult to work with prior to the start of the job, any issues with their work would be a nightmare.

Description of Work: We purchased a deal with the hopes that he would paint the walls and ceiling surrounding our stairway.

Description of Work: I purchased the deal - to have work done on my deck - a few months back. The deal was for one of 2 services (deck repair or deck painting / sealing). I told him I may want both and we agreed that one would be covered under the deal and one at full price IF after he gave me an estimate I wanted to move forward. I thought this would also let me see the quality of the work first. I scheduled work to be done on 8/14. Because he needed a water hose in order to complete the work, plus access to my deck I arranged to take a day off of work and to borrow my neighbors hose. I confirmed the day beforehand and sent him my phone # in case there were any issues. He never showed up and he didn't call. Instead I received a message through the site later on that night letting me know that his car didn't start. No mention of why he didn't just call me to let me know that so I ended up wasting a vacation day that I don't have many of. He suggested maybe he could come by the next day (if his car was fixed) on Friday but I told him I couldn't take off work again. The next communication was a message send late Saturday (8/16) night asking to come by the next day. I let him know I wouldn't be around and asked if the following Sunday (8/24) would work. Three days later he hadn't responded so on 8/20 I sent another message again asking if Sunday 8/24 would work. I didn't hear anything back until 3 days later - after 9:00pm - saying he was coming by before 8:00am and to have $50 for him so that when he came back for the 2nd part of the job I could pay the balance. So basically he tried to: confirm an appointment he didn't respond to after 6 days, gave me less than 12 hours notice, AND wanted me to pay $$ up front work that wouldn't even be done that day. All of this can be seen through my correspondence with him through the Angies list site. I looked closer at his profile on your site & see that this is not unique behavior. Even some of the positive reviews pointed out that he was late & unprofessional. I do need the work done on my deck & wish things had turned out better. However this vendors behavior has been so consistently unprofessional that even if he offered to work for free I simply would not trust him. Please let me know if you need anything else from me. When this is resolved I do plan on summarizing this & putting it in a review on the site as I do not want anyone else to have the same experience. Regards, [Member Name Removed]

Description of Work: Thomas and his crew took three days to remove wallpaper from my living room, dining room and up my stairway to the second floor through my hallway. Once this was completed, all rooms were painted. (for an additional cost, they also put a fresh coat of white semi-gloss around my windows and doors.

Description of Work: Tom painted and finished my front door as well as decorative posts along the back of the house. He also helped with a variety of minor repairs. On a return visit, he even cleaned our roof''s gutter and repaired a leak in the soffit.
