Description of Work: Total Remodel of 1st Floor unit of old apartment building

Description of Work: Brownawells replaced the roof on a front porch and put a new down a new concrete surface overlay on top of a very large concrete deck that we have.

Description of Work: We hired Brownawell Remodelling to install stone fascia to the exterior of our house to cover the Superior Walls foundation. We asked to find us stones that looked like they could have come from the 1800s and similar to those installed at the Lower Allen Township building. He laid out the stones on a 4 x 8 plywood sheet to ensure that the different colors and shapes of the stones made a pleasing pattern. He then asked us to view them first to ensure we liked the layout. The he and his crew installed them over the Superior Walls foundation and once dry grouted and hand troweled around each stone. The end result was exactly what we had hoped for and then some. There were a couple of boxes of stone remaining so we asked him to remove the siding on the front of our garages. We also asked him to order more stone and face the wall inside the screen room. He completed that job on 3/7. .

Description of Work: We hired Rick Brownawell to install heated porcelain tile in our lower level game room. He installed a custom heated mat with a digital, programmable thermostat. The tiles were 12" x 24" and we asked him to install them in a herringbone pattern. Because we had a pool table he installed the tile in one part of the room and then moved the pool table the next day and finished the other half. He also installed new baseboard. The heat mat had to be drilled into the concrete and then layered with the tile "mud". Then each tile was laid out for a minimum amount of cutting. Once the tile was installed they grouted it and then finished with a clear top coat.

Description of Work: Replaced siding and trim damaged by a hail storm in June 2011. We first used Mr. Brownawell's services in approximately 2007 and found his work to be excellent. He displayed a high degree of professionalism, great work ethic, and was willing to work with us making suggestions as he found potential problems. He removed and replaced all the siding, roofing, soffit, gutters, and window trim. We ended up with an exterior maintenance free home. Based upon this experience we hired him to build a custom home in 2009. We worked side by side with the planning and execution of all aspects of the house. He provided an update every day on the work that was accomplished and we worked together resolving any potential problems before they became BIG problems. He worked weekends and evenings to ensure that the property was prepped for installation of the Superior Walls foundation, for steel beams supporting the garage floor, for his hand-picked subcontractors to name a few examples. In addition he also worked closely with the township supervisor to ensure he was adhering to the laws. He passed every inspection with flying colors and received high marks from the inspectors. We weren't required to select items from any vendor. We hand selected everything from the faucets to the trim work. At the end of 7 months we had our dream house and are still extremely happy that we selected Mr. Brownawell as our builder. Since then we have used his services for many projects -- some small and others large. We hired Mr. Brownawell to add a new sun room, additional parking area, installed split rail fence around garden, made trail through woods for our utility vehicle, added additional drainage to the slope that was killing our trees, resolved sink hole issue, worked as an advocate on our behalf to have our geothermal unit replaced at no cost to us, He always provides a cost estimate and the final bill has been either on the mark or less than the quote. He calls in advance to advise us when he will start a job and what time he and his crew will arrive. At the end of each work day he cleans up the work area and removes the debris. We are so happy with his work that we have already contracted him to do another job in the spring of 2012.
