Description of Work: Customer service - this is a old fashioned hardware store. Excellent place to go for first person help and questions. Also has a huge selection of hardware for every need. You don't need to by a blister pack of a dozen screws or washers when you can buy single quantities. This is the only place, for example, where you can find 50watt outdoor floodlight bulbs. Please DO visit this store.

+ -1 moreI called several providers to find a company who could replace the screen in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. I picked Newtown Hardware. They quoted me a $30 price with a 3-5 day turn-around time. I dropped it off around lunctime one day. The next day, they called and said it was ready for pick-up. Overall, I'd say the staff could improve on their friendliness. They didn't offer to retrieve the screen from my car. They didn't hold the door as a manuevered my way through the doorway. They were just waiting behind the counter for me to bring it in. They didn't appear to be short-staffed or swamped by helping other customers. I honestly expect a bit of extra service when dealing with a local company, rather than a large superstore. But, the work was done early and a quality job was completed. So my overall goal was met.
Description of Work: Slider door screen was replaced.

Description of Work: I USE THIS HARDWARE STORE FOR ALL SCREEN REPAIRS. THEY TURN THEM AROUND VERY QUICKLY. EVERYONE IS NICE TO DEAL WITH.

+ -1 moreNEWTOWN HARDWARE HAS BEEN AROUND FOR YEARS. IT IS AN OLD-FASHIONED HARDWARE STORE IN THE HEART OF AN OLD TOWN. THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT AND YOU GET A PERSONAL TOUCH FROM ALL THE GENTLEMEN WHO WORK THERE. THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COURTEOUS.
