I got a call around 7:30 in the morning letting me know that he was on his way for an 8:00 appt. He arrived on time. Spent a good 2 hours doing everyting. Put on protective booties to keep floors nice. Even put up with my big barking dog. Also gave me a few pointers on some quetions I had. Really nice and knew what he was doing. I am going to use them for my business next.

They fixed it properly and did a nice job. I have no complaints whatsoever. We would probably call him again. The plumber was a very nice gentleman. He was professional. They were very prompt, and the price was in line.

We have been using them for many years. They have been very professional and they fix things right away. They are very responsive and the people are wonderful.

I had my drains backing up. I called Lucas and they right out. They fixed it within the hour.

They were quick to schedule, on time, very professional. They wore booties in the house. Office staff was easy to deal with. Rate was reasonable. I'd use them again.

From my first phone call, Joe Lucas went out of his way to be helpful. When I was unsure of what I needed, Joe came over and discussed all my options and gave me a reasonable estimate. During the installation process he came personally to check on the project. When the new refrigerator proved "too big to deliver" per the delivery company, Joe said" nothing is impossible" and arranged enough workers to lift this huge appliance over the barrier. Because of their attention to detail and overwhelming care of my home (I lost count of the drop cloths used to protect my home!) I have decided to do more work than I originally planned. The Lucas crew was fabulous in every way!!

On time, very pleasant and did not make any messes! We have no complaints.

Prompt, Professional, Clean and when completed you didn't even see evidence of them performing the work.

They were terrific because they were able to come right away. I called them and needed it that day and they did it. It was a top of the line toilet. I could have probably gotten it cheaper somewhere else but how often can you get somebody to come right away. The installer was great and did an excellent job. He made an effort to be well dressed and he was obviously educated. He was one of the cleanest contractors for cleaning up afterwards that I've ever had come to the house. He got right to work when he got here. The toilet is great.

Foreman quoted a price range over phone and we scheduled work for Thursday morning. Two workers arrived on time, were polite and took care to protect floors upstairs and keep work area clean. Job was understood by them and neatly done in about an hour. Cost was as quoted. Here is where doing your homework comes in as I did get other quotes for the job. I did not use another company that said they would come out before noon to quote the job. They showed up at three pm and quoted almost double what I paid.

Alx called me on the way to the appointment to inform me that he was on his way and arrived on time. He was professional, personable and took the time to explain what he was doing when I peppered him with questions. He wore booties, removing them each time he left my residence and reapplying them when he re-entered, to keep my floor/carpet clean. (I'd not experienced this with other companies who have completed work in my home and appreciated the courtesy.) I have since recommended Lucas Ltd. to others. My neighbor just used Lucas for some plumbing problems she was experiencing and was very impressed!

Excellent and helpful to talk to about the problem - he explained the needed repairs.

My overall experience with them was excellent. I liked everything that they had done. They spent a lot of time explaining some things about plumbing to me. They did a great job in installing the new fixtures in the bathroom. I paid $600 to $800 for the job. They were not the cheapest of the companies around. They have also done a lot of work in my house earlier to this. They had replaced a new toilet in the upstairs by yanking the old one off the floor and installing a new one.

Great. I called this morning and they were out here this afternoon. They service tech was very helpful (even gave me hints on how to look after my fridge ice machine better too), did a great job and was honest about what needed to be done. I will use them for all plumbing issues going forward.

A previous plumber (from another company) came out twice and re-sweated the joint. The first fix lasted a day, the second a week. I gave up and tried Lucas. They replaced the bad connection with minimal collateral work needed. Very prompt, excellent quality.

The mechanic, Rick, arrived when scheduled, & did an excellent job from start to finish. He explained every phase of the work that he had to do. He was knowledgeable, professional , friendly & worked straight through for six to seven hours. He cleaned up everything & took it all away for disposal including the old fixtures. We are glad we have a local plumbing company we can rely on.

Very prompt and professional. Work was vey high quality exceeding my expectations. Only negative, was final cost was 30% higher than original estimate. Notwithstanding, I would use this provider again without hesitation.

He did a fine job moving the drain down and installing the new toilet. His work was well performed and his prices were market price. However, I was installing a new vanity and thought I might need some help adjusting the drain pipes since the old and new vanities were slightly different sizes. It left a very bitter taste in my mouth when he tried to convince me that instead of cutting slots for the pipes in the new vanity (which I had already done) that I should instead pay him $700 to have two guys come out, rip open the wall, and move the who drain system over. This was all ostensibly in the name of not "tearing up" the new cabinet (which, again, I had already done). I got that same feeling you get when you go to a mechanic that tells you your car has problems it doesn't have so he can charge you to fix them. This time though, with home improvement, I know enough to know he's trying to pull one over on me. It also bothers me that with people who know less about it, they may have shelled out the $700 to him which would not have been necessary. They do fine work, but I can't in good conscience recommend them unless you know exactly what you want them to do. Otherwise, you may end up paying for something that you don't really need.

Worked quickly but at no time communicated approximately how long the job would take or the cost of the parts being replaced. We were told in advance what their hourly rate was. The total cost was about $150. to $200. more then expected.

This started as a simple home-owner project, but after I crimped the copper too much ... I called for a plumber. Arrived next morning (although not an emergency - had 2nd stop valve available). Laid out towels to work on (first time I've seen that). Replaced tap-valve and stem, plus supply tube, fill valve and flapper inside the cistern. I didn't actually ask for that - he kind-of did it automatically, but when he showed me the condition of the ones he took out - no question! First solder attempt failed - minor leak. Second attempt solid. Given the very cramped quarters he was working in I'm kind-of surprised he didn't set fire to anything. He must be double jointed.

We moved in to this 20 year old home about 2 months ago. All 4 toilets were either overflowing, leaking, stained, discolored and of course not energy efficient. I asked a friend if she knows a plumber and she immediately gave me Joe's company. Then I looked up Joe's company at Angie's List. I called them and spoke to Joe himself. He first wanted to know what I needed done and he made several suggestions. When I told him that the toilets were approximately 20 years old and I just want it changed he respected that decision. He suggested several brands of toilet that were of good quality. When I told him the brand I wanted to use, he first wanted to research the toilet and see if it was not going to give me problem in the future. He called me back and he said it was excellent and he scheduled his crew to come the next day. At first, they said the work will take 4-5 hours, but it only took them about 2 1/2 hours. They were very neat. They covered the bathroom with with a canvas cloth. When they left, you could not see trace of dirt or caulk. All you see is this shining brand new toilet.

Amazing. Not only were they able to send someone out within a few hours, but it was completed and operational within 2 hours.

Quality of work, time it took, promptness and professionalism of the company's staff on telephone, and service person were very satisfying.

I have used their services before. They did part of the original work so I called them back because I trusted them. It went perfectly and I have no complaints. The guy was on time, knowledgeable, honest and did a good job. I would recommend them anytime.

We were glad to see that there was no need for replacement of this unit. They came out pretty fast and took care of the job without any hassle.
