Description of Work: Pricing and lack of communication. Very unprofessional to not tell you their fees and procedures before coming out. I called them to ask about replacing a sewage pump which I knew before i called needed to be replaced. The plumber came out and did an assessment- cost $110. When I made the appointment i was never told this. So I paid $110 for them to tell me I need a new pump which I already knew. Also asked the plumber to tighten a loose faucet. I would have done it myself but since he was there and had actual plumbers tools i asked if he would do it and he said yes. I figured he would do it as a courtesy since he was already there and i used them before for big jobs. He charged me $110 to tighten a bolt that took less than 5 minutes. In was APPALLED that he did not tell me he would charge that much BEFORE he worked on it otherwise I would NEVER of had him do it. Won’t be using Lucas any more.

Description of Work: I called Lucas on Saturday November 25, 2017 because I had low water pressure and I thought no hot water. Steve was in my home for an hour and a half to find out what the problem was. It was found that I had a well problem and I subsequently called my well company to fix the problem. Steve had to rewrap my hot water heater with insulation, but did no repairs other than that. He charged me $390.00 for the above service. I checked the charge with a friend in the business and was told that I paid TWICE the amount which should have been charged. I was given a yellow carbon copy of the bill which was illegible because of the hand writing. I called the owner, Joseph Lucas, explained that I could not read the bill and requested a legible itemized bill with what was done and the charge for each service provided. He was unable to do that and refused to comply with my request. I am a VERY long time customer, but now would NEVER recommend this company to others. They OUTRAGEOUSLY overcharged as has been described by others on this site! Don't be robbed, stay away! There are plenty of good and honest plumbers locally.

Description of Work: I had emergency service on a weekend; sink disposal crapped out and needed replacement. Lucas LTD called me back on the same day (on a weekend) and was clear in disclosing weekend rates and reasonable time to arrive at my house. The technician was thorough in answering any of my questions and did not waste time while working. I am not happy about how much it cost, but it was an "emergency rate" (weekend) and it was very last minute. The best part is that they clarified the approximate costs before they did any work so there was no confusion.

Description of Work: I recently had an emergency plumbing problem. The water intake pipe in my basement sprung a leak. After turning the water to the house off, I called Lucas. They were extremely helpful and sent a plumber out immediately to repair the pipe.I have used Lucas for years and have always been well satisfied with their work. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Plumbing always seems like a simple task but we know better, so when we needed to replace the original sink faucet that had been installed for 18 years we elected to call Lucas. George who had worked on previous repairs arrived promptly, needed a saw to remove the old faucet without damaging the corian sink and installed the new faucet that we had purchased in advance. it which works better than the old. George also resolved a low water pressure problem that had been annoying us for some time. Sociable but not so much that it slowed down the repair. great service at a fair price. we will continue to use Lucas for future issues.

Description of Work: Lucas LTD fixed a leaky shower head by changing the cartridge in the faucet. The plumber was on time and clearly explained to me what the problem was. He did not have the correct model of the part needed to fix the problem at first. He called his office and a second serviceman delivered the needed part in about 15 minutes. The leak was fixed quickly and we haven't had a problem since.
